"I went to Sandalwood Village and I was very pleased with the size of the units. The entire apartments are nice. All the facilities are good, but I was looking for a garage. I'm recently widowed. In all these years, I have had a garage, and I've never been able to put a car in it, so I want to put my car in the garage. They do have garages there, but it's like parking at the mall. There's no assigned parking and that means you have to take an elevator. I'm a totally one-floor person. I don't want an elevator or stairs, so that is a turn-off for me. The other thing was, to do breakfast or whatever, you had to come out, walk over to the other building, which is covered, but I kind of decided that I wasn't in a position where I had to get dressed to go have breakfast because I do enjoy my retirement, just sitting on my house couch, drinking my coffee. So that's a basic turn-off of all the places. The staff was very informative, very, very good. It was all new and there was a washer/dryer. They had a full kitchen, it's a full apartment. They had a nice pool area."

"I want your new waitress Renata she deserves recognition. In addition to always getting our order correct, she comes back several times to ask how the food was and if there is anything else that we need. When we are finished, she will ask if we want desert. She is so pleasant and always has a smile. I felt like I was at a restaurant on fifth avenue."

"I have been working with he staff at the Collier at Naples for over a month and I can not say enough about them! Scott and Richard are absolutely amazing! My mother has been there for a few weeks now and I can honestly say that I am sleeping better at night knowing that she is in great hands. I highly recommend this facility and the staff again, Scott and Richard, have gone above and beyond to make my mother comfortable and safe!"

"My mom moved into Amavida Senior Living. She's in independent living. It's a very friendly and caring environment with lots of activities that she's been able to join in. She goes to their exercise classes, she truly enjoys that. She's gone to a few of the movies too. They have a Fourth of July activity that she's going to be doing. The dining room people are very friendly and the food is good. She just, for the first time, signed up for one of their shopping trips. She's still getting settled, but she's finding nice things to do. The staff is extremely friendly, caring, and very responsive. It's been a very good experience. I've been down there several times and the food is always excellent. We haven't had anything less than good. I also think it's a very reasonable price for everything that she gets."

"It is excellent. They have a 2-bedroom, 2-bath, and they have a 2-bedroom, 2-bath deluxe apartment, which has a little bit more floor space and is ultimately what we decided on. It has a washer and dryer, a built-in microwave, dishwasher, and refrigerator. The food is excellent and their restaurant is upscale. The waiters and waitresses all wear white shirt and black pants. They have white linens, tablecloths, and when they come to your table they automatically bring you a glass of water. It has all the amenities, including maid service. They make up the beds and take out the trash. It has a courtyard with an Olympic-sized heated pool and a movie theater. The facility itself is nice. It's four stories and it's in a very nice, residential neighborhood."

"I was very impressed with Brookdale. The rooms were so neat, tidy, and light. The people treated me very well, answered all of my questions, and showed me everything I wanted to see. They looked like they can handle everything I might want to do. We sat with the residents for a meal, and the food was very good. It was very interesting. "

"My parents found a place, and they're going to move in in a couple of months at Lely Palms. It has independent, assisted, and memory care. When my parents decide which one they need to go to, they're covered; I do like that aspect of it. They took us to lunch, and the food was very good. We got a really good feel for it. It's a very warm caring feel for the place. I feel comfortable having my parents there. The room has a full kitchen with a refrigerator and a microwave. Outside, there's a pool, a bocce court, and a putting green."

"I toured The Gallery at Hacienda Lakes. It's lovely and wonderful, but unfortunately, I couldn't even afford it. It's beautiful. It's like being in Las Vegas. They have a kitchenette with just a microwave. That was one bad feature. They have a pool, a sauna, and a courtyard where you can sit. They have a lot of amenities, but it starts at $10,000, and that's for one, and then you add so much for another person. Two meals are included. Amber was wonderful. She came to the house with all kinds of information, and then we met her. The next day, we went over to look at the property. She was phenomenal. The food was like eating in a New York restaurant. It's phenomenal."

"We like Calusa Harbour down on the water. The room was nice. Some rooms overlook the water; we liked that part. The staff was good. They had a librarian. They had things going on, like games if you're interested. They'll take you to the doctor and shopping if you want to. They have transportation. "

"The Gallery at Cape Coral was very nice and very updated. The staff was very, very nice. Tami brought a meal over to my house a couple of days later. She's been very helpful as far as telling me things to ask and look out for. They're expensive, but you probably get what you pay for there. They make everything from scratch in their kitchen. The rooms were very nice. They had nice views at that place, whatever room you had. They had different floor plans."

"We visited the Terraces at Bonita Springs. It's a very big building. Somebody showed us around, and we really didn't meet any of the staff, but we just looked at the rooms. It was all very good, and it was a very upscale place. The rooms were newer and better equipped just because it is newer. It is probably a little higher class and upscale in pricing and so on. I saw the dining room, and it is very nice. As for activities, they got a little bit of everything. "

"American House Bonita Springs III is more expensive and excellent. I like everything about it. It's a nice place, decorated nicely, bright, and cheerful. The people are lovely. I couldn't find anything wrong with it. I've been there five times, and every time I go to the place, it's just astronomical. The presentation of the food was lovely, and it tasted good to me."

"All Seasons Naples is new and not filled up yet. I met some of the residents there and it's very nice to see a new building that's sparkling clean and doesn't have that old nursing home kind of smell. The living space was very nice. They have one and two-bedroom residences with a terrace or balcony. You get breakfast and dinner there. They have lots of educational and cultural programs, a fitness center, a swimming pool, a theater, a library, an art studio, game room, distinctive wine room, full-service hair salon, 24-hour monitored response alert system, on-site staff, and complimentary Wi-Fi. I had a tour of the whole place. The staff was very nice. I met two people who live there who like it."
