I visited this facility

We toured The Collier at Naples. I wasn't as happy with it as I would like to be. I didn't think the patients were very happy. The food she said was crappy. I didn't eat it. I saw it in memory care. I just didn't think it looked good, but I didn't think a lot of people were that thrilled with it. I won't even eat it. We got into an actual one-room apartment and that was very nice. We saw the facilities. I felt like there could be more room for the memory care of people. It's a small facility and they try hard to do a lot of stuff.

I visited this facility

I toured The Collier at Naples. One thing I did like about this place is most of them just have what they call a suite. So, you open the door and there's a bed, a chair, a desk, and the bathroom, and that's claustrophobic for me and I know it will be for her. I met one person who was very nice and very helpful, and took me on the tour, explained everything to me, and gave me some information to bring home. The structure of the building seemed fine. I like Collier because they are like a small apartment. My mother would have not only a living room, but she would also have a kitchen. They don't have a stove in there for memory care, but she has a refrigerator and cabinets. When I stepped into this facility, I felt comfortable.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My mom has moved into The Collier at Naples. We chose them because of the warmness when you first arrived there, the friendliness, the kindness, and the way the people work there. The sales rep, nurses, therapists, the chef, and even the maintenance people are kind, respectful, very pleasant, and very caring. They try to encourage my mom to do the activities, but she's 101, so they do what they want. My mom's apartment is very nice. I called my kids and told them to find me a place like that. They have libraries and a puzzle room and they're nicely done. The people are very pleasant. I like that they have activities posted up and they go by the rooms and tell them to go in and check on them. They have like the Valentine's Day thing. They have what they call the happy hour room, and they have bingo, movies, and all kinds of activities. It's nice. They can participate or not, which gives them the options, which is nice. But they keep their mind going and everything else. I have not tried their food but when they were serving that, it looked delicious.

I visited this facility

We looked at The Collier at Naples. I liked it. I thought it was very pleasant and clean. They had very nice rooms. It was very appealing. They seem to have a well-rounded program for the residents as far as activities and trips and things like that. They seem to have an active social calendar. Overall, the facility was very clean and modern. The rooms were okay. They were very well-appointed. My husband thought the facility smelled, though I didn't feel that way. My husband didn't like it at all.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

I have been working with he staff at the Collier at Naples for over a month and I can not say enough about them! Scott and Richard are absolutely amazing! My mother has been there for a few weeks now and I can honestly say that I am sleeping better at night knowing that she is in great hands. I highly recommend this facility and the staff again, Scott and Richard, have gone above and beyond to make my mother comfortable and safe!

I visited this facility

The Collier at Naples looks nice. What I was drawn to is the people, the personalities, the interaction between the caretakers and the clients. The clients all seemed engaged and active and interacting with the caretakers, and there were no people alone in their rooms, or alone anywhere. They were all engaged and they all appeared happy. They have gardening, they have a lot of art and craft projects, I think they play some form of ball with a balloon and things like that. The staff seemed sharp, intelligent, personable, warm, engaged, and very happy and upbeat. What I saw and heard about the food, it sounded pretty good. We looked at transitions care, between assisted living and memory care. It’s more assistance than assisted living, but less than total non-functioning memory care. They don’t have sufficient outdoor space; otherwise I would give it a 5.

I visited this facility

The Collier at Naples was very nice and the staff was very outstanding, but it was a very old building, and I'm not happy with how it's presented. I visited everything about the place. They should build a new building. It's in the middle of an industrial complex so there's no outside areas or outside activities. There are businesses on both sides of the community so they can't build outside amenities. It looks like an institution.
