"I just liked everything I saw there. The staff I saw seemed very friendly. I liked the rooms very much. The dining room is lovely, but I haven’t eaten there yet. I was very impressed with it."

"I have found Calusa Harbour. The price is good. I love the food. The staff has been pretty good. They are very helpful. They have a big variety of food. They're always ready to add something if you want to change your mind or add more to your plate. The only bad thing I have to say is I don't like the way the pool is located because it doesn't get any sunshine all day long, so I don't use it. Nevertheless, it's the best place in the Fort Myer's area, including Bonita Springs and Naples. I checked all over and this was the best spot. There are so many activities; I can't keep track of them all. They have something for everybody. They have been good. I haven't gone to all of them, but I just moved in, and I plan to doing more activities once I get my apartment in order."

"Brookdale Cape Coral gave me some cookies and they were very good. It was a fairly new building. It's very small with small kitchen and a small cafeteria, but it had a homey atmosphere. They had a fireplace in there. It had some colonial trim and columns. The prices were a little higher than the others, but they were not too bad. The facilities were nice. The rooms were OK, and they had a little kitchenette. I would recommend them."

"The Gallery at Cape Coral is the one that we're impressed with. All of the staff members we met with and talked with were friendly. One of the plans that they have is where we could put down like $3,000 and pick our room, and then if that room got taken, we could pick another room till it was all gone, so that was good. In other words, if we put a house up for sale and it sells in a month, we can move in. If it sells in four months, we still have a place to move into without any more money down. So that's one of the big things. They have also bent over backward for us. One day they couldn't get a hold of us for whatever reason, so they came over because they were worried about us. The kitchen part of the room is all furnished. Of course, the rest of it is furnished. But overall, if we have to pick one right now and move into it, that would probably be our first choice. And the staff who gave the tour was great."

"We toured American House Coconut Point yesterday. It's very homey looking, very aptly named for an American home. Nice wide corridors. My husband is in a wheelchair, and you didn't feel like you were cramped in. It had a beautiful atrium in the center. It was built in a circle, and it had a beautiful pool with a long walk-in gradual, probably 20-foot-long ramp. And it had beautiful furniture and beautiful carpeting. The one-bedroom apartment that we looked at was beautifully finished and completely redone. Apparently, they do that after everyone leaves. You have to pay $3500 for capital investment, and they use that every single time to put the room back in its original condition. The person who was taking us on the tour was very professional and took time with us and showed us everything. And that was very competent. The welcoming staff was very nice. We talked to a few residents and asked them how they liked it and they seemed to indicate that they liked it. It has a 200-person capacity and supposedly there's only one one-bedroom available. I saw the dining area and the menu, it's very nice. Apparently it changes every day. Supposedly they have a five-star chef, but they said they don't need to have people try the food. They have more than enough people that live there that are happy. And if they weren't happy with everything, they would leave. You don't have to sign a contract. You can leave at any time. It's a month-to-month situation, which also makes me a little nervous, which means that if they don't have a nursing facility, they basically can kick you out if you get beyond their capability. You have to be evaluated to determine the level of care. There are four levels."

"We toured Lehigh Acres Assisted Living. They kept the place nice looking. The staff, even the custodial people, was helpful during the free lunch. We felt good about the place, and the price was right. She physically took us around and showed us the different places and how much they were. We came back, and after our tour, we sat down at a table. She went over some forms with us and gave us some pricing as well. She's very personable. The outside looked very nice. It's well-kept inside and clean."

"The community did not have any outside patios in the apartments, but they had a courtyard. The lady that did the tour was wonderful. She spent a lot of time with us and she did a wonderful job. She was knowledgeable and was able to provide information about the location and what's around that area. It was lovely."

"American House Bonita Springs provides transportation and daily activities. They also offer transitional aging, but it just wasn't all under one roof. Other than that, the staff was very cordial. I liked that they don't shove it down your throat. They were focusing on the positives of the facility and trying to show you that."

"We toured Alva Senior Living. I went and looked at all the rooms and what they have. We met with the director of the senior living section. We just walked through the whole thing, and she told us all about it, and we asked questions, and she answered all of them. The rooms were small, but they're very nice. They furnish everything except a mattress. So you don't have to bring your own furniture. They have rooms with big bathrooms and rooms with small bathrooms. We toured the dining area. They only have five people right now, and they're only gonna have a total of 16 when they're full. It's a very small unit. It was as clean as it could be. They have a big common room on the front of the building, and at one end is the dining room, which has a big long table with chairs, and it was decorated with fresh roses. It was very pretty. I didn't actually go into the kitchen, but I talked to the cook who was standing at the door, and she said they cook everything there. They don't buy any premade stuff. They have an area where, if somebody wants something during the day, like a snack or something to drink, or if they want something to eat, they can go and request it, and they can get it during the day if they want that. The staff was really good, answered our questions, and were very friendly. They're new, so they're just getting started. It was very nice."

"My dad has been here for a few weeks now, and he's happy there. I'm pretty happy with the place too. He has a nice apartment, and the residents are generally happy. Some days are different from the others, but the last time I was there, I heard people laughing. It was like a big party and dad loves it. He's very happy to have company, and he's getting everything he needs. The staff members are all very nice and cheerful, and they seem to enjoy their jobs. There's also longevity within the staff. Some of them have been there for a long time. He likes the food so far. They said he eats all of it and finishes his plate. The building was recently remodeled, like a year ago, so it looks good. He just has a closet door that could be in a little better shape, but that's not a big deal. It's all been remodeled, so it's nice, clean, and neat, and the bathroom looks good and modern. They do have activities every day. Some days it's bingo, then it's something else other days. Dad is very interested in that. It's perfect for the memory care residents. The decor is kind of weird, though; like in the hallway off to one side, there's a crib with a few baby dolls in it and they look realistic. It seems kind of weird to normal people but I get it. You have babies and that's something that everybody could relate to, and then over in the other hallway, they have a little tool area set out. So it's like a little bit of this and a little bit of that, but it's interesting and seems conducive to keeping them amused."

"My mom is in here, which is close to my house. They have enough people who seem to be good with the residents. The food is OK. "

"Both of my parents were residents at this facility for approximately two years. We have nothing but good things to say. Lots of activities. Always bathed and dressed. Spiritual needs met. Lots of fond memories. Kept safe. Both died of old age eight months apart; received excellent end of life care via Hospice in their own room. Can't thank everyone there enough."

"It was very nice. It was in a wooded area and had vegetation around the building. The person that interviewed me was very thorough and very knowledgeable. I saw residents in the living area and on the porches. The dining room was adequate and very nice. I was impressed with the place."

"We will move into Seascape at Naples. It's two bedrooms, two baths, plenty of room, very much like where we're coming from, and we have an end unit. My husband's a veteran, so we got quite a discount. It just has everything we need and want. It's more like a home. Everything is supplied. You also have breakfast and lunch, breakfast and dinner, or dinner and lunch. They take you to the doctor if you need it, and they have trips. They have all kinds of things going on every day that would be good for my husband. Everything that interests us. We've looked around a lot, and this is our favorite. Grace and Carrie were both wonderful."
