"I love the size of Beach House, the food setup, the staff was amazing, and the ambiance of the place was very nice. They have a salon, occupational therapy, movie theater, restaurant-style eating, and a nice courtyard in the middle. The layout was very nice. They have an art class and a little library. It's nice overall. I had lunch and the experience was different from any other place. You had options. There was a whole separate menu to choose from. It was very classy. The chef did a great job. The dining hall was great with tall ceilings. It was very roomy, very much like a restaurant. There was no assigned seating or anything like that. You can sit wherever. It did not feel like assisted living at all."

"My dad has been here for a few weeks now, and he's happy there. I'm pretty happy with the place too. He has a nice apartment, and the residents are generally happy. Some days are different from the others, but the last time I was there, I heard people laughing. It was like a big party and dad loves it. He's very happy to have company, and he's getting everything he needs. The staff members are all very nice and cheerful, and they seem to enjoy their jobs. There's also longevity within the staff. Some of them have been there for a long time. He likes the food so far. They said he eats all of it and finishes his plate. The building was recently remodeled, like a year ago, so it looks good. He just has a closet door that could be in a little better shape, but that's not a big deal. It's all been remodeled, so it's nice, clean, and neat, and the bathroom looks good and modern. They do have activities every day. Some days it's bingo, then it's something else other days. Dad is very interested in that. It's perfect for the memory care residents. The decor is kind of weird, though; like in the hallway off to one side, there's a crib with a few baby dolls in it and they look realistic. It seems kind of weird to normal people but I get it. You have babies and that's something that everybody could relate to, and then over in the other hallway, they have a little tool area set out. So it's like a little bit of this and a little bit of that, but it's interesting and seems conducive to keeping them amused."

"After 2 1/2 years as a resident of Bentley Village, I have nothing but good things to say about it. I feel safe and cared for and have made many good friendships here. My one bedroom apartment is beautiful, spacious and convenient to so many activities. As a golfer, I appreciate our well maintained course and the superb management team. Duplicate bridge is highly competitive and professionally directed, a plus you rarely see in retirement communities. And the expansive campus offers many opportunities for walking and biking. I am always proud to call myself a Bentley Village resident!"

"I like everything about Lely Palms. Two things disappoint me. That's the internet reception and the cell phone reception. Other than that, the rest of the facility is beautiful. The internet is very spotty, but it was spotty before I moved here, when I was still in the other place. Other than that, the facility is very nice. The plan we went with was total independent living, so I cook my own meals. We do our own cleaning, shopping, and laundry. However, if I want to have somebody come in and clean, they have a full staff here. It's a matter of economics. The staff is very friendly, very cordial, and very helpful. It's an old building, but they keep it in really great shape. I just moved in, and I'm still moving in, so I haven't had the time to participate in all of their activities. I priced a few other places, and they were the cheapest."

"I toured The Gallery at Hacienda Lakes. It's lovely and wonderful, but unfortunately, I couldn't even afford it. It's beautiful. It's like being in Las Vegas. They have a kitchenette with just a microwave. That was one bad feature. They have a pool, a sauna, and a courtyard where you can sit. They have a lot of amenities, but it starts at $10,000, and that's for one, and then you add so much for another person. Two meals are included. Amber was wonderful. She came to the house with all kinds of information, and then we met her. The next day, we went over to look at the property. She was phenomenal. The food was like eating in a New York restaurant. It's phenomenal."

"I have already chosen American House Bonita Springs. I just signed all the papers. I'm still in the process of getting furniture moved in and cleaning out my house. I like the location, the upkeep of the whole unit, and the people. They have all of the appliances included. I'm very pleased with the building. They offer breakfast and dinner."

"We are very impressed with The Arlington Of Naples. It is beautiful and relatively new. There are many options. The residents we saw seemed happy. There are certainly enough things for people to do. The place itself was very pristine, very modern, and very attractive. The staff was very professional. She certainly knew her business and a lot about the place. She introduced us to as many people as possible. We got a pretty good feel for the staff and the job they do."

"My mom has been living here for the past two years living in her own apartment independently and has no complaints. Loves all the staff and participates in many of the activities. She loves that they drive them to church on Sunday. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. "

"I toured The American House Coconut Point. They have 112 units for assisted living, 36 units for memory care, and 56 units for independent living, and that proportion just seemed to be off. The tour experience was very thorough. The young man who took me around knew his business. He was very cordial. However, my first impression when I walked in is, "This doesn't feel right." I've had enough experience now, and so I know where I don't fit in. The upkeep was fine. In any place I went, I didn't see anything that suggested it wasn't being taken care of. All of them were all taken care of. However, the rooms looked tired. Several of the rooms we went into were empty, because somebody had moved out or somebody was moving in. They were in the process of being fixed. There were closet doors in two of the rooms that were off track. They have a breakfast room and a bistro. They would provide two meals a day if you are independent. They have a salon onsite. There are paths for walking. Yet, for me, it is just a place I wouldn't move into."

"The Watermark at Marco Island is beautiful. There are a lot of skilled and experienced caregivers. It's a brand-new facility, so everything is new and looking nice. They seemed really helpful in trying to make your stay there nice. They treat you with dignity. Their dining area is a big, beautiful room. We went there for the open house, and they had all kinds of appetizers, coffee, and treats or sweets. Their rooms seemed a little bit smaller for some reason, but they're still very nice. A young lady gave us a tour, and she was very knowledgeable. She answered a lot of our questions, and we felt very confident with what she was telling us. The tour was good. The people are nice. The young lady knew everything. Someone asked about hurricanes, such as how these people will be affected, and what she said was, "We have the hurricane windows and a setup if the weather is bad. We have buses that take them to wherever." So they have a hurricane plan for living on the island. The facility is a little upscale."

"Rooms are spacious, well-designed, and in excellent condition. Maid service once a week. Staff at every level are kind, caring, and provide excellent service. Facilities are beautiful and include pools, tennis and pickleball courts, Activities are plentiful and include movies, bridge, book club, current events discussions, library, gym, bingo, and many others."

"We toured The Opal at Lakes Park. The staff was very friendly and very helpful. The building is very nice, neat, and clean. They have a nice garden area where people can sit outside. There's a lot of nature out there. It's very nature-like outside. They have a nice porch you can sit on if it's raining. They have a nice area that's all planted in pots with different plants. The food is good. They don't run out of things there, like coffee, cream, and stuff like that. The facility is very pleasant to look at. The living room is very pretty. Everything's done very nicely. They have a good activity department, too."
