"We visited Atrium at Liberty Park. I thought it'd be great for my wife. The price was probably in the middle of the line. They'd do a better job of treating her than I would. I'm afraid that she is at the stage where she's starting to do things that would create a problem. The staff did a good job of explaining the program. I think they're professional and they do what they can to help out. I think they do a great job from what I can see. From the first look, it looked good to me."

"The Gallery at Cape Coral was very nice, but it's very expensive. The appliances are all furnished. They have a nice restaurant downstairs and it's brand new, but they want some $7,000 or $8,000 a month for the two of us. The average- to low-income person can't afford it. They're very friendly and it's very clean. They have a full kitchen. They have a one-bedroom and one-bath and a den. That's independent, and then they also have another building right next door, and that's assisted living, so that would be even more. The staff was very friendly, outgoing, and they take you to the rooms. They're pleasant."

"We like American House Coconut Point. We like the modern decor, the way it was set up, and the way it looked. We like the friendliness of the staff, too. There is a full kitchen in the independent living and a partial kitchen in the assisted living. The tour was very well done. The staff was excellent. What we didn't like is that independent living and assisted living are separate from each other. We were looking for something where my sister wouldn't have to build a new set of relationships when she went from one to another."

"Fountain Crest was a really nice place with nice people. The dining area was very clean, and it smelled clean throughout the building. They had maintenance on-hand while we were there. It looked like a top-notch facility. They had water aerobics, aerobics, puzzle rooms, workout rooms, spiritual meeting rooms, and news discussion room where you could go sit and talk. It had a lot of stuff, and I was really impressed with it. "

"It is nice, and mother is getting used to it. The staff is accommodating. They have Bingo, they take them out to places, and to doctor’s appointments. Sometimes she liked the food, but sometimes she doesn’t."

"The girl that we spoke to mentioned this one place to us called American House, and it turned out to be a top-notch place. The first floor is independent, and that's what we will have. However, they also offer on another floor assisted living, and they have a new building coming which will be their memory building. We are extremely pleased with it, and the two ladies that are working there right now are extremely nice. We had not actually seen a room other than floor plans because it is not built yet. It will be done in April. What they're offering is going to be very pleasing; it's exactly what we wanted and we're very pleased with it. I would highly recommend it. "

"My parent are here. I like it. It is a good place. We chose it because of all the amenities and the way it look. It fits what we are looking for. The rooms are clean and spacious. They have large handicap-accessible bathrooms. The apartments come with a kitchenette or kitchens, with large a walk-in closet. The dining facility is like restaurant style. Their menu has a very wide selection to choose from each day. They offer a lot of activities. They have a monthly calendar that they post. They have a bus that you go to the stores. They have something going on weekly on various places."

"I had an in-person tour of The Residences of Advinia Care at Naples. It has skilled nursing and assisted living combined. The staff member who gave me the tour was excellent, friendly, outgoing, very excited about the property, and helpful. The rooms were nice, clean, and bright. They're in the process of renovating, so a lot of stuff has been upgraded. It was nice. They have a lot of outings, cookouts, movie nights, bingo, happy hour, and music. The people I talked to seemed pretty happy or content. The atmosphere was excellent, warm, and friendly. The staff members seemed very concerned about the residents."

"What we really like about Bradford Square Retirement Community is the warmth and friendliness of both the staff and the residents. They're very inviting, very friendly, and very helpful. My friend has a two-bedroom apartment with two baths. It's got a small kitchen and a small deck. They offer three meals a day and we love the food. The facility is very friendly, easy to access, and clean. They have a tremendous program activity with lots of good stuff to do. They have a pool and a barbecue place, too. I think for this area, the value for the money is good."

"I went here around the end of November. This was right up the street from my son. It wasn't overly ostentatious, it was very down-to-earth pleasant, and the people I spoke with seemed very nice. I was just comfortable in the setting. I plan to go there maybe next fall. I talked with one gal, and she was just lovely. Any of the patrons I spoke with was pleasant, and they would answer my questions. It just seemed like a very pleasant place. There was a large pool. I visited around once or twice."

"I want your new waitress Renata she deserves recognition. In addition to always getting our order correct, she comes back several times to ask how the food was and if there is anything else that we need. When we are finished, she will ask if we want desert. She is so pleasant and always has a smile. I felt like I was at a restaurant on fifth avenue."

"My mom has moved into The Collier at Naples. We chose them because of the warmness when you first arrived there, the friendliness, the kindness, and the way the people work there. The sales rep, nurses, therapists, the chef, and even the maintenance people are kind, respectful, very pleasant, and very caring. They try to encourage my mom to do the activities, but she's 101, so they do what they want. My mom's apartment is very nice. I called my kids and told them to find me a place like that. They have libraries and a puzzle room and they're nicely done. The people are very pleasant. I like that they have activities posted up and they go by the rooms and tell them to go in and check on them. They have like the Valentine's Day thing. They have what they call the happy hour room, and they have bingo, movies, and all kinds of activities. It's nice. They can participate or not, which gives them the options, which is nice. But they keep their mind going and everything else. I have not tried their food but when they were serving that, it looked delicious."

"We had a beautiful time visiting the independent living community of The Pineapple House at Sapphire Lakes. Everything was just perfect. It's also close to where we live right now, which means that I'll be close to my daughter. That's where I would like to go. I really loved it. We looked at a one-bedroom and a couple of studio apartments. There was a studio that caught my attention with the porch thing outside. The others didn't have it, and I like that, so that's what I wanted. Another thing is that the sizes were just perfect. They had a smaller studio and a larger one. The 2-bedroom apartments were also good. Unfortunately, it is expensive for someone who's of a limited income, but that is my problem, not theirs. We saw they had a pool, which is important because I do water aerobics. They had a little room that was like a bar area where you could have a drink, which was different. There was a room where you could make things and work with your hands. They had a room for physical therapy too. Their dining room was beautiful beyond words. It was just gorgeous. They had a nursing staff there, but you can also have anyone who's not part of the facility come in to take care of you. They're open, and the atmosphere of everything was just geared to the people who live there. I could not say how excited I was that it was just so perfect. It was so clean and so new-ish. I found out it was five years old, and one important aspect is that they made that place to be hurricane proof so you didn't have to leave if there was a hurricane coming. That's really important. Another thing was that the people who work there were very sweet. They smile at you and say hello, so it makes you feel comfortable to be there."
