"We like American House Coconut Point. We like the modern decor, the way it was set up, and the way it looked. We like the friendliness of the staff, too. There is a full kitchen in the independent living and a partial kitchen in the assisted living. The tour was very well done. The staff was excellent. What we didn't like is that independent living and assisted living are separate from each other. We were looking for something where my sister wouldn't have to build a new set of relationships when she went from one to another."

"It is nice, and mother is getting used to it. The staff is accommodating. They have Bingo, they take them out to places, and to doctor’s appointments. Sometimes she liked the food, but sometimes she doesn’t."

"The girl that we spoke to mentioned this one place to us called American House, and it turned out to be a top-notch place. The first floor is independent, and that's what we will have. However, they also offer on another floor assisted living, and they have a new building coming which will be their memory building. We are extremely pleased with it, and the two ladies that are working there right now are extremely nice. We had not actually seen a room other than floor plans because it is not built yet. It will be done in April. What they're offering is going to be very pleasing; it's exactly what we wanted and we're very pleased with it. I would highly recommend it. "

"I had an in-person tour of The Residences of Advinia Care at Naples. It has skilled nursing and assisted living combined. The staff member who gave me the tour was excellent, friendly, outgoing, very excited about the property, and helpful. The rooms were nice, clean, and bright. They're in the process of renovating, so a lot of stuff has been upgraded. It was nice. They have a lot of outings, cookouts, movie nights, bingo, happy hour, and music. The people I talked to seemed pretty happy or content. The atmosphere was excellent, warm, and friendly. The staff members seemed very concerned about the residents."

"I went here around the end of November. This was right up the street from my son. It wasn't overly ostentatious, it was very down-to-earth pleasant, and the people I spoke with seemed very nice. I was just comfortable in the setting. I plan to go there maybe next fall. I talked with one gal, and she was just lovely. Any of the patrons I spoke with was pleasant, and they would answer my questions. It just seemed like a very pleasant place. There was a large pool. I visited around once or twice."

"I want your new waitress Renata she deserves recognition. In addition to always getting our order correct, she comes back several times to ask how the food was and if there is anything else that we need. When we are finished, she will ask if we want desert. She is so pleasant and always has a smile. I felt like I was at a restaurant on fifth avenue."

"My mom has moved into The Collier at Naples. We chose them because of the warmness when you first arrived there, the friendliness, the kindness, and the way the people work there. The sales rep, nurses, therapists, the chef, and even the maintenance people are kind, respectful, very pleasant, and very caring. They try to encourage my mom to do the activities, but she's 101, so they do what they want. My mom's apartment is very nice. I called my kids and told them to find me a place like that. They have libraries and a puzzle room and they're nicely done. The people are very pleasant. I like that they have activities posted up and they go by the rooms and tell them to go in and check on them. They have like the Valentine's Day thing. They have what they call the happy hour room, and they have bingo, movies, and all kinds of activities. It's nice. They can participate or not, which gives them the options, which is nice. But they keep their mind going and everything else. I have not tried their food but when they were serving that, it looked delicious."

"The staff at Barkley Place are capable and very caring. My father was in their independent living and decided to move in to the assisted living because it's a wonderful facility. They are also very attentive. "

"I’ve bought a home here in Jamaica Bay and I'm very well satisfied with it. These are homes not a building. I have two bedrooms but there so many here with three and four bedrooms. It’s very good and it works fine for me. I like it very well I’ve had no problem. I would recommend it for certain people. I’m very independent but I can’t drive a car so I’ve got to go off cart and I can go to Wal-Mart to do my shopping and things. It’s close so it’s very convenient for me. There are restaurants around here like McDonald’s and Burger King; and the hospital is not over five miles. They just have about everything here. They’ve got all kinds of clubs here for boating, golf, chess, poker; you name it they’ve got a club for it. "

"St. John XXIII Villas was very clean, and very well organized. They have a lot of amenities. They have a community room, a swimming pool, a game room, a dining room, a library, and a computer room. The people in the office and the staff were very courteous, very professional, very congenial, very helpful, and very thorough. There weren't any bad attributes. I was very impressed with how the place was kept and how organized it was. The apartments were very well suited for seniors. There were grab bars in the bathroom, alarms around the apartment, smoke detectors, and carbon monoxide detectors. It was also just walking distance of a Catholic Church. Parking was easy and accessible. You didn't have to walk far to get to the main entrance."

"Sandpiper Run was very clean, fresh smelling, well kept, and very well organized. When I arrived, they were having sort of a tenant meeting in the lobby, which is a good sign because people get to voice their ideas and opinions. There was an outside patio, a lanai, a swimming pool, a game room, a library, and computer access. The apartments have grab bars in the bathroom, smoke alarms, emergency alarms, and carbon monoxide detectors. They were nicely decorated and themed. I do not have any criticisms or problems with it."

"The activities at Hidden Oaks are great! My mother is very outgoing and social, so i was worried she wouldnt adjust well to moving her from her normal circles. But the staff here made it much easier by letting her set up her spacious room just the way she liked it, and planning fun activities like Zumba workouts. The food is so much better than even I normally eat. It's all fresh, and served in the beautiful dining hall. I highly recommend anyone looking into assisted living for a relative to take a tour of Hidden Oaks and see for your self. "

"I was first introduced to Cypress Cove last December when I was asked to sing at their church's Christmas service. Since then I have been working with them quite a bit! Cypress Cove is both a Retirement home/community and an assisted living facility. The work I do there has me working very closely with both the staff and the residents. The staff are wonderful! They are incredibly helpful and you can tell how much they care about their residents. They have frequent programs to keep their residents having fun (like bingo and board game nights) as well as the programs that I do (singing short programs of opera). I've only been in two of their many buildings (one of the assisted living buildings and their big hall) but they are both very nice and, from what I can tell by the cheerful attitudes of the other residents, they all love the facility. "

"The staff was wonderful, but I found the environment a bit stale, a common feeling I had about all of the places we visited, but this seemed more like a hospital than some of the others. We ended up going to another facility, but I would recommend this one to anyone in the area who was looking for a place to take their loved one. There were several amenities that were very nice, and the seniors were treated with respect. I didn't get to see the rehab aides in action, but I did see that the staff was professional and seemed to have character and integrity. Overall the facility was about a four out of five stars. The tour was short but very informative. I felt that I was given all of the information I needed to make the decision at hand. "
