I will be moving into The Pineapple House at Sapphire Lakes. It's very clean, and I was greeted and treated very well. I liked the apartment very much. The staff was wonderful. I didn't taste the food, but the dining area seemed nice. I observed the pool, the exercise, the therapy, and the beauty shop.

We had a beautiful time visiting the independent living community of The Pineapple House at Sapphire Lakes. Everything was just perfect. It's also close to where we live right now, which means that I'll be close to my daughter. That's where I would like to go. I really loved it. We looked at a one-bedroom and a couple of studio apartments. There was a studio that caught my attention with the porch thing outside. The others didn't have it, and I like that, so that's what I wanted. Another thing is that the sizes were just perfect. They had a smaller studio and a larger one. The 2-bedroom apartments were also good. Unfortunately, it is expensive for someone who's of a limited income, but that is my problem, not theirs. We saw they had a pool, which is important because I do water aerobics. They had a little room that was like a bar area where you could have a drink, which was different. There was a room where you could make things and work with your hands. They had a room for physical therapy too. Their dining room was beautiful beyond words. It was just gorgeous. They had a nursing staff there, but you can also have anyone who's not part of the facility come in to take care of you. They're open, and the atmosphere of everything was just geared to the people who live there. I could not say how excited I was that it was just so perfect. It was so clean and so new-ish. I found out it was five years old, and one important aspect is that they made that place to be hurricane proof so you didn't have to leave if there was a hurricane coming. That's really important. Another thing was that the people who work there were very sweet. They smile at you and say hello, so it makes you feel comfortable to be there.
