"We went to see Canterfield of Fort Myers today. The place was nice, calm, and quiet, and the residents seemed just fine and happy. The apartment that we saw was nice and spacious. It had a kitchenette, nice closets, and a walk-in shower. Each room had its own air conditioning thermostat. They had a library. They played bingo, games, and puzzles, and they had arts and crafts."

"I want your new waitress Renata she deserves recognition. In addition to always getting our order correct, she comes back several times to ask how the food was and if there is anything else that we need. When we are finished, she will ask if we want desert. She is so pleasant and always has a smile. I felt like I was at a restaurant on fifth avenue."

"My father moved into The Fairways at Naples. The staff was nice and took good care of them. The room was very nice. We like the atmosphere. It's new and clean. The dining area was very nice. My father likes it, so that's all that matters. The residents are busy with activities. They do everything. They do art and music, and they have parties for Mardi Gras. They had one for Valentine's Day. They're very active. The staff gets everybody involved. No matter what the level of care the people are in, they have them all involved, which is nice. For amenities, they have physical therapy and a barber shop there."

"I toured The Collier at Naples. One thing I did like about this place is most of them just have what they call a suite. So, you open the door and there's a bed, a chair, a desk, and the bathroom, and that's claustrophobic for me and I know it will be for her. I met one person who was very nice and very helpful, and took me on the tour, explained everything to me, and gave me some information to bring home. The structure of the building seemed fine. I like Collier because they are like a small apartment. My mother would have not only a living room, but she would also have a kitchen. They don't have a stove in there for memory care, but she has a refrigerator and cabinets. When I stepped into this facility, I felt comfortable."

"Our experience living here in Amavida Senior Living has been good. The staff is very good and very caring, and the place is clean, bright, very clean, and has a very pleasant atmosphere. There's a little courtyard off in the main area that has a swimming pool in it. I just think their activities are geared toward an older group than us."

"It was very pleasant. The person who represents them was very informative and very experienced. She knew exactly what to show and tuned into what our needs are going to be, so it was a very positive experience. This is a memory care facility and are very engaged with keeping the residents busy and not sitting around. They have the ability to go outdoors at will because of the way it is set up, do music therapy with them, have children visiting, and encourage them to use the garden. It is very different from where my mom is now."

"Beach House was very nice, and the physical plan was very nice, but there weren't a lot of men there, so I was concerned about that. The staff was very good, she was very helpful, and answered all my questions. The dining area was very nice. They were doing arts and crafts when I was there."

"We visited Brookdale, and it was a very nice place. It was probably a little more than my mother can afford, but other than that it was very, very nice. It was very clean. The apartments were very nice. It seemed to be a very nice place. The people seemed to be very content there, and they talked to the staff. We looked at the apartments, and they were very clean. "

"We had a beautiful time visiting the independent living community of The Pineapple House at Sapphire Lakes. Everything was just perfect. It's also close to where we live right now, which means that I'll be close to my daughter. That's where I would like to go. I really loved it. We looked at a one-bedroom and a couple of studio apartments. There was a studio that caught my attention with the porch thing outside. The others didn't have it, and I like that, so that's what I wanted. Another thing is that the sizes were just perfect. They had a smaller studio and a larger one. The 2-bedroom apartments were also good. Unfortunately, it is expensive for someone who's of a limited income, but that is my problem, not theirs. We saw they had a pool, which is important because I do water aerobics. They had a little room that was like a bar area where you could have a drink, which was different. There was a room where you could make things and work with your hands. They had a room for physical therapy too. Their dining room was beautiful beyond words. It was just gorgeous. They had a nursing staff there, but you can also have anyone who's not part of the facility come in to take care of you. They're open, and the atmosphere of everything was just geared to the people who live there. I could not say how excited I was that it was just so perfect. It was so clean and so new-ish. I found out it was five years old, and one important aspect is that they made that place to be hurricane proof so you didn't have to leave if there was a hurricane coming. That's really important. Another thing was that the people who work there were very sweet. They smile at you and say hello, so it makes you feel comfortable to be there."

"It was nice. I decided to go there because it's a newer building and the ceiling is high. I liked lots of natural light and I liked the atmosphere of the place. They have transportation and they go to church. They encourage you to move, dance, and they have activities."

"American House Fort Myers was a vibrant community. It's like a resort-style setting. It was new. The residents' rooms were all beautiful. The amenities were exceptional. They had an outdoor pool. For outdoor activities, they had a shuffleboard or bocce ball, but the pool caught my eye. They had a full theater. They had activities. They had an activity room where the residents could do different crafts. Their workout center was phenomenal and pretty extensive with the workout equipment. They also would do physical therapy there. The residents seemed very vibrant and at home. The staff was great, knowledgeable, and professional. They had an outdoor garden."

"Four story recently updated facility with weight room, billiard and poker room, swimming pool plus lots more. Several terraces and dining rooms. Sundry Shop, Chapel.and library. Scheduled activities daily for the residences. I found it to be a bit overwhelming in my mother's situation with multi floors and elavators. She is 94 years old and would just add to her confusion and dismay. "

"My wife was at this facility and lived very happy for her remaining years. The young ladies who cared for her did gods work. Everyone cared for one another. We always knew where my wife was and there was no body better at dealing with folks with Alz than Arden Courts."

"I got a good feeling about Arden Courts when we visited. It felt all right and it's also close to our home. The staff was fine and very nice to my mom. They have a swimming pool and walkways for the residents. Mom's moving in on May 1st. "
