In the state of Florida, every person choosing to move into an assisted living or memory care community are required to have their physician complete a form called an 1823 (we can give you one, if you'd like). As a part of the application process our director of health and wellness - here it's Darlene, will review your physician's form with you, and will discuss an individual care plan. A reassessment is completed the day of move-in, with any change of condition, and regularly afterward. Changes will be communicated with the community member's designee.

We approach each meal by appealing to the six senses: As our guests enter the dining room, gentle music is played. Meals start with presenting each resident a warm, scented cloth - similar to an experience in a fine dining restaurant, to signal something good is coming. Chef Linda cooks and bakes with Brookdale's signature seasonings, designed to inspire taste buds to come alive. Plating is intentional, and foods are easy to handle. The majority of our team assist with this pleasant event, and are there for your loved one every step of the way.
