Discovery Commons is a special place. Julia and her staff go above and beyond in understanding individual needs and maintaining a nurturing and caring environment for their residents. My mother immediately felt welcome and a part of her new extended family. The other residents went out of their way to introduce themselves and engage with my mom. The staff is responsive and conscientious. The facility is very nice and well maintained. Plenty of activities for residents. It is truly a blessing to know my mom is in good and competent hands.

We toured Discovery Commons Cypress Point. It was a wonderful tour. They were very attentive to our needs and very inquisitive as to the current situation with my mother. It couldn't have been a better experience. The facility was spectacular. They're very nice. I've never seen so many people of that age group that happy. All had smiles on their faces, and you could tell that the staff knew them intimately. It was just a very cordial, friendly environment all the way around. You could learn a lot by just watching them interact and saying hi to some of the other guests that we ran into during the tour. It felt like you were walking into a very open and cordial environment. We got to see multiple-sized units. They were very attentive to my mother's needs and wanted to show us different things and different price points, and that was very helpful. It broke the stereotype I might have of these kinds of care facilities. They were modern condominiums. They're very nice. Aside from the facilities, the activities blew us away. I'll call them cruise ships on land. They have way more activities than you could do. The dining facilities looked nice. The menus looked amazing. Just the flexibility to pretty much dine when you want to was really impressive. The staff was just very, very friendly, very knowledgeable, and very inquisitive about my mother. You didn't get the feeling that it's one size fits all. They were very open to customizing the experience for my mother, particularly relative to the care that they give. The ability to dial up or down the care as needed was quite impressive.

My brother stayed here, and the community was very nice. It's just my brother needed nursing care, so that wasn't for him, and that's why we moved him. The apartments were very nice, though, and very clean, and the staff seemed to be very good.

It was nice. I decided to go there because it's a newer building and the ceiling is high. I liked lots of natural light and I liked the atmosphere of the place. They have transportation and they go to church. They encourage you to move, dance, and they have activities.

It was beautiful, brand new, and the rooms were gorgeous. I loved everything about it, but they didn't have any shared rooms. That would've been my first choice. I met the activities director and they had just done karaoke with the people, which was really fun. They also do cooking classes and exercise classes. They offer a lot. I liked the way the showers were. There's no having to step up or step out. You just walk right into the shower. I liked that they have menus you can order from. My mother could have her food brought to her. It's a really pretty place.

It was a very nice place and it's very new. It opened in September. It would be a place that I would go if I could. They have all day dining. From 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. they offer meals. You go to the main dining room and you can get what you want. They will do your laundry, they come in and clean, and they also offer seminars. They have activity rooms. The food was delicious. The staff that I met was very nice and congenial. There's nothing bad that I could say about it. It's all good.

When I visited, they took me anywhere I wanted to go. We saw the rooms -- even those that were occupied -- little ladies let us come in to look at their rooms. We saw where they make cookies every afternoon. One of the things that I liked about the place was the floor was entirely tiled, there was no carpeting with stains, dirt, or hair. Everything was very clean, beautiful, and they were very friendly. The people that assisted me were wonderful, they worked in unison, they were very pleasant, and there was no pressure.
