"I toured Elison Assisted Living of Bella Vita. It was very nice and the people were very nice. The staff was excellent. The dining area looks nice. I just like the overall layout of it."

"The people at Brookdale Port Charlotte were very nice. The residents that I ran into, because of their dogs, were nice. The place was clean. I liked the first floor. I loved the dining room. The rooms themselves were just really tiny. I liked the fact that the dining room was small. There were not that many people. Dee gave us the tour, and she was very nice. It is a very expensive place. I think for the price they offer, they should have a physical therapy room with machines to use."

"My parents will be moving into AdviniaCare Venice. As they age they'll be able to go through all of the levels of care at the same place, and that was important to them. I liked that the staff there didn't have a high turnover. They showed us a model room that had 350 square feet with a little kitchenette, two closets, and a bathroom. I actually sat there yesterday filling out my paperwork and watched the residents do trivia, and then there was a scavenger hunt going on while I was sitting in the lobby."

"My experience here at The Goldton at Venice has been wonderful. The place is great. They have all kinds of amenities to do there. I would recommend it to anybody. They have fine dining and a bar. They have a heated in-ground swimming pool that's saltwater. They have a movie theater, a library, and a beauty salon. The list goes on and on. The food is excellent. Their dining area is very clean and very nice. They have a dining room downstairs that's upscale to where you have lots of nice food."

"My mother will be moving in. Everybody was awesome and very kind. The residents were well taken care of. Everybody looked awesome. It didn't smell. It smelled great. We went through the dining room at lunchtime, and the food looked awesome. My mom's apartment is gorgeous. It's one bedroom with a balcony, so she can sit out outside any time she wants. I loved everything about it. The dining area was clean and well-lit. Everybody seemed to be enjoying themselves. The residents appeared happy. They were very friendly and outgoing. They were the kind of people I wanted my mom to be around. The people that work there are nice too. They offer meals. They have trips that they go on, games, a card area, a game room, and bingo. It looked like a very active lifestyle for somebody who was 90 years old. I'd like to move in there. It looks so much nicer than my house. Plus, they have housekeeping."

"I had an in-person tour of Parkside Assisted Living and Memory Care. It wasn't like a resort. It was like a very nice assisted living facility with many amenities. They provide breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The staff was very thorough, accommodating, and welcoming. They were a little expensive and kind of small for me."

"I toured Vick Street Manor. The staff was so nice. They seemed on the same page, organized, and friendly. The facility was very clean and organized."

"We went to South Port Square. It was very clean, maintained very well, even though it was an older established facility. The person who took us on the tour was extremely knowledgeable, very friendly, and took us to lunch. Lunch was excellent. They had all kinds of activities. They had art classes and jewelry-making classes. They had a woodworking shop, a nice swimming pool, and a large off-the-main beaten path road that walked all the way around their facility, which was good for biking and walking. They even had a garden where people could plant vegetables or flowers and maintain their garden. It was an excellent place."

"We’re so thankful we found Brookdale Punta Gorda Isles for our mom! It’s a smaller, welcoming community that truly feels like home, with a caring staff that treats residents like family. Her apartment is just the right size, with a beverage fridge/freezer and a microwave, offering a bit of independence with support close by. From Wendy’s warm welcome to the attentive care from Jessica, Mikey, Donna, Scott and the rest of the team, we’ve felt peace of mind every step of the way. It may not be the biggest or flashiest place, but the personal touch and genuine care make all the difference!"

"The Courtyard could be my choice because they allow cats, which is my mother's only concern. Right now, I'm still on hold for Medicaid Diversion Program. I'm just waiting for the funding from state of Florida so I could get her in some place. The staff, as far as that goes, is very helpful, and they seem to have more connections as far as getting the funding done. They're very helpful and attentive to my mom's health and needs. She would get good care there. "

"My dad stayed at Brookdale Palmer Ranch extended rehab for about 2 months after a fall that resulted in a pelvic fracture. The care he received was excellent, PT 5 days a week and attentive nursing. They got him back to weight bearing faster than expected. The rooms aren’t fancy but they are clean and well maintained. There were many daily activities to entertain the residents. All of the staff I met were kind, compassionate and competent. This place was by far the best of the 4 rehab facilities he has been in over the last several years. We are grateful for the care my dad received there."

"My parents-in-law will move to Heron Club at Prestancia. My mother-in-law will be in memory care and my father-in-law will be under hospice. The staff is great. It's very well maintained and it's very clean and their apartment is huge. They have a huge bedroom that's going to fit a hospital bed and a full bed with room to spare. Then they'll be able to take their living room furniture to the living room and the little kitchenette. It is very bright and cheery and there's always something going on and that's what my mother-in-law needs for her brain."

"We toured Savannah Grand of Sarasota. It's very clean, small and personal. There was one-on-one attention when we got there, which was wonderful. They even gave follow-ups and showed care. The rooms were very efficient but small for what we needed. We were disappointed because we did like it there. They were a nice size if someone was going single. They were cute. Their dining is wonderful and the food was excellent. We didn't spend too much time on the activities, but from what we saw, there was plenty to do. The dining area was clean and pretty. Beth gave us a wonderful hot apple pie when we left. I said it was very, very, sweet with the extra special touch that they gave."
