"This was an excellent visit. The first of several to come. I am invited to brunch next week, and to dinner and a concert the week after that. The emphasis of this provider is independent living and that is exactly what I want at this point. Assisted Living services will be provided when I need them, if so. Everywhere we went the place was impeccable. The staff was very friendly, the residents were cheerful, and the prospect of a French chef very appealing. Again, this was the first of several visits to the facility. Mr. Arguelles, the Director, told me prospective residents visit at least eight times before making a final decision. One of those visits is actually an overnight. One of the things I liked was that they want me to meet residents. They questioned me extensively about my lifestyle, so I can be seated at a table with folks who share some of my own interests when I return for brunch and dinner. This is the kind of facility I want."

"The place is very pretty. I believe they recently renovated and I was surprised at how nice everything looked and how clean it was. The residents there were enjoying a nice musical activity when I toured and overall everyone seemed friendly. I am definitely considering this place for my mother. Out of all of the places I visited, this one by far was the best!"

"Miami Gardens Manor, Inc. was a nice facility. The people were nice and accommodating, but the quarters were pretty small. The residents there seemed to be doing fine and everything, but it wasn't a good fit for my brother. They serve meals, and everyone gets the same thing. So, on any particular day, the menu is the menu. It's not one with choices. For the tour experience, they showed us the whole facility. We even had an opportunity to talk to a couple of the residents. It was very well done. There was nothing negative about the visit; it just wasn't something that felt like the right fit. The person who toured us did everything possible to make sure that we understood where things were, how they worked, what the facility was, and how it looked. One thing I like is that my brother likes to go for walks, and the area that Miami Gardens was in would have provided a nice area for him to walk. There were nice walkways and everything. It was pretty nice. There's not a lot of commercial activity right near it. It was very clean."

"I visited Victoria Villa Assisted Living. They have a very nice property outside of the building. They have the pond, fruit trees, and palm trees, and it really looks very nice, but it's still very sad because people are pretty much at their last breath or very close to it. I like the marketing director, or whoever she was, who was talking to me. She was very professional, and she knew immediately that I wouldn't be interested in it. It's a very small place. The majority of the people are not able to eat by themselves. They are given very good service. I saw the nurse or the aide feeding the elderly woman who was totally out of it. Physical appearance was good. It was clean. There were no smells of any kind, which I'm very sensitive to. The staff was very much on point. I didn't spend much time there, but whatever my questions were, she answered them all easily and readily. I think she's a good person to be with that facility and to understand the condition of those people. This is a community for people who are suffering from the last stages of dementia. A person like me or my sister would not want to move there. It has to be known before people come because I came there for no reason at all. They did open some doors into their rooms, and there are some rooms where people are getting hospice care. I did not see the regular assisted living residents. The ones I saw were people with dementia or memory problems. They were in the process of not remodeling, but painting and doing all this cosmetic stuff. I'm sure it will look great."

"Moving a parent into a facility is difficult and every circumstance is different. Nothing is perfect, but the staff bends over backwards to make it so. Always kind and caring. I, too, knew when I walked in-this is it! The apartments are beautiful and the staff is everywhere smiling. "

"I have been working with Villa Rio Vista clients and families over the last five years and continue to be impressed with the care, activities, and entertainment! The administrative staff lead with kindness and compassion, never too busy to meet the emotional needs of each resident assuring each person feels safe, secure and cared for - preventing residents from the all too common signs of loneliness and boredom. Five stars for Villa Rio Vista "

"I toured Providence Living at Pembroke Pines. It was very welcoming. The grass is well maintained. It's a homey-type layout. You feel like you're coming home. The staff was very, very helpful. She put you at ease and answered all the questions. They're trying to finish doing whatever to make it more homey. The dining area was set up like a family setting, and they had provisions for people in wheelchairs."

"We have chosen The Palms at Plantation for my parents because it's close to our house. We can just go over there more times a day. The staff members were very knowledgeable about the subject and had a lot of experience. Each person there was pulled from another facility, so they all had long-term experience. They have all kinds of activities. They have nursing staff like RNs besides LPNs. They have an activity director, too. The director has been very knowledgeable and helpful."

"My mom is now at Belmont Village Fort Lauderdale. She was welcomed with open arms. Everyone was concerned about her and made sure she was checked on. They have a nurse's station immediately available to her if she needs it. The food is amazing. They're delicious, chef-prepared food. The facility itself is high-class. It's all the best, like the best furniture, the best artwork, the best everything. They want to make sure she is happy. They escort her to memory care in a group to the activities for the day, and then the group also goes to lunch together. They have a meal together. They have a movie every night that she can go see. There's a pool and there's a concierge that would take her out shopping if she wanted to. It's the opposite end of that other place. It's high-class and 100% the best senior living facility that I found during my search. The facility is beautiful, it's spotless, and it's wonderful. They came through with everything they promised."

"I did a tour of Jacob's Tender Loving Care Assisted Living Facility. It's like a brand-new home, their regular bedrooms; It was very nicely done. It's new from what I hear, that's why it's beautiful. The staff, a mother and a daughter; They were both very nice, and they seem to know their business. It was nice, very clean, and nice-sized. The bedrooms and stuff were nice sizes. It was a corner lot, so it was a big, big place. They had a pool in case you're interested; I thought it was interesting. The dining room is nice and has a big table. It was spacious and good sized. It felt very homey."

"Everything about the community was good. I liked it, and I have nothing bad to say about it at all. The rooms and the recreation area were nice. The people who live there that I met, and those who were showing me around, were pleasant. The grounds and the buildings themselves were clean and pleasant. Everything they offered was nice. "

"My friend was at the Bay Oaks Historic Retirement Residence. It was a very caring community, and it was very small. It's an old, vintage home. It's very large. They converted the rooms into guest rooms for the residents. They have a big community room. They built a new activity center. They have crafts, prayer time, and music. They have a lot of amenities that are very nice and personal. They have animals there and a garden. They encouraged people to participate. They have people from the church visiting and saying prayers and masses. It's predominantly a Catholic community, but it's non-denominational. The staff members are very caring and loving. They have a chef, and they have delicious meals. They have parties. They try to keep the people busy. They have scholarships for people. They figure out ways to keep you there and help you."

"I will move in after five weeks. It’s a brand-new building, it’s eight stories, they have three dining rooms, and any resident can go to any dining room anytime and any day. There’s a memory care on the fifth floor. They have a full-time concierge, a car to take you anywhere, and a movie theater with a 70-inch screen. The eighth floor is a place where you can order drinks, and this is open to the public. "

"My aunt lived there for 3 years and loved it. She made many friends there and took part of the knitting classes and parties that they had there to celebrate monthly birthdays, and other holidays. She always raved about how great the food was and her apartment was always clean. She was very happy there till she died and now my uncle also lives there and even though he is anti-social and doesn't partake in any of the many activities that they offer there, he is very happy there.
