I visited this facility

We toured Victoria Villa Assisted Living. What I liked best was the area that was inside for the residents was clean. What I did not like was the building needs a lot of repairs. There are a few other things that are not good. They have about 15 cats outside the building. Some of these cats can go inside. The doors are not locked. There was an Alzheimer's or dementia patient very close to the door, and she could have easily left. We saw inside the area where all the residents can sit in very nice reclining chairs. The chairs look very comfortable. The three cages have parrots, and some animals inside, I don't know if that's good or not. The lady that took us on the tour said this is the best place ever for patients, but she told me the population has gone down. The only staff person that I spoke to seemed OK.

I visited this facility

I like the rooms at Victoria Villa Assisted Living. The rooms were neat, clean, and tidy. I like the way it was situated. The grounds have nice places to walk, and there is a big pond, and that was nice to have there. The administrator was nice and helpful. She gave me a lot of tips and hints. The lady who owns the place seemed to be on the ball, too. She was amongst the staff and amongst the patients monitoring everything and making sure everything was going smoothly and right.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

This home has been wonderful for both of my parents. The facilities are clean and inviting. The caring staff keeps the residents as actively involved as possible. The owner and the staff have always been pleasant and my parents seemed happy and content. It has been reassuring knowing that my parents are taken care of so well. I have never visited another assisted living environment as nice as this one.

I am a friend or relative of resident

I moved my mother into Victoria Villa 9 years ago! It was one of the best decisions I ever made on her behalf. The care, the home environment and the overall focus on the "individual" person can not be beat anywhere else I have visited! What a great team of caregivers!

I visited this facility

Victoria Villa was very nice but the cost was quite high. Also with my wife's condition because she is in a wheelchair, they said they have a different facility for her and that one the cost would even be higher. Overall, I don't think this place would give the kind of care that I want for her. It looked great and it was good but it doesn't meet our requirements.

I am a friend or relative of a resident

I was very impressed. Everything went very well there. It's just what my husband would need and I would recommend the place! I liked that it was very informal. They had a nice staff. Everyone's well-dressed there and they seemed to be happy. The rooms are pleasant and very neat. Everything is well kept like at home. The place is just well-manicured. It has a very happy atmosphere. They were allowed to take their pets. They had parrots screaming at the door and it was just something very country style. My husband would be contented and happy there.

I visited this facility

While in the area, we happened upon Victoria Villa. We had been visiting some other facilities around the region as options for my friend's mother. We really liked the tranquility of the facility, close to a small lake, graced with lush palm trees and nice landscaping. It was quite picturesque. They have a variety of care options so that it is easy to switch from one to the other as needed They also include progressive musical and animal therapies. The hairdresser comes to the facility weekly, and physicians check in on patients every other week. The indoors were impressive, with nice lighting coming through many large windows. The seniors seemed like they were really enjoying themselves in the library, playing board games and socializing. They also go out to view films, art, attend festivals and fairs and experience the local eateries. The facility and staff are equipped to handle all levels of ambulation, including memory care. The exercise room where they had yoga mats and machines. They also have scheduled classes for those who are interested. The food was really nicely prepared - with options and choices for many tastes and dietary concerns. The food we saw looked really delicious. The dining room environment was very cozy with a sense of home. All of the seniors looked very well cared for and seemed quite content living within this environment - where they had plenty to do, with just the right amount of assistance as they required.
