I toured The Peninsula Assisted Living & Memory Care. The one area that is concerning was that it was not as well-maintained or well-kept up as the other facility. It was a newer building, but the maintenance was not up to date. Also, the rooms themselves were much smaller and felt more cramped than the other places. The staff was super friendly, very caring, and very understanding.

I toured The Peninsula Assisted Living & Memory Care. I like the supervision because in my mom's case, she forgets where she is and she tries to wander off. The staff was very friendly and very attentive to the patient's needs. They interact with the patient. They have a beauty salon. I believe they do the nails, too. They have a center of entertainment where they either watch TV, play games, bingo, and stuff like that. The facility was very clean and the appearance was good.

We toured The Peninsula Assisted Living & Memory Care. It was very nice. I liked that one very much. That was the one I was trying to get my uncle to go see. I like all the amenities. The layout was nice. It was friendly, clean and well-kept. It's got an entryway, and there's a receptionist as soon as you walk in, so it's very homey there. The residents are sitting around and talking. It looks like a nice resort center, almost. The staff were very nice and very knowledgeable. They answered all my questions. They looked as if they would treat the residents like family.

I like The Peninsula Assisted Living & Memory Care. The lady that toured me around was very nice. She was nice, but a little stiff. The facilities were very nice. The rooms were spacious. I looked at a one-, a two- and a four-person stay. They were big. Even the four-person rooms were spacious. They were nice and clean. I like it. They have a courtyard with some seating and a gazebo, but there were chairs out there.

The Peninsula Assisted Living & Memory Care was great and I loved it. My sister loved it, too. It was clean, and I liked the layout of the facility. The staff was very friendly. Fedora, the sales coordinator, was very, very nice. They had 2 broken elevators, but they told me that they were getting new elevators, which was not a problem because they had so many other elevators around the whole complex. The rooms were big. Even the studio rooms were very big. There was a little refrigerator, but you had to bring your own microwave and your own TV if you want. The dining room was huge and nice. The menu that I saw on the board was very, very good.

We went to The Peninsula. The minute we walked in, the staff walked us all around, showed us the rooms and was very, very nice, and gave us the price. The price was good. Everything was fine. Everything was very satisfactory. They're very helpful staff. The facilities are good. She showed us everything. They had activities. The people were very happy. What I like about the tour is that we were not rushed. They took their time. They showed us everything like the dining room, the activities room, and the patio area. They were very, very nice. The woman was super nice. From the hospital, my cousin's husband had to be sent to a rehab place to get a little bit stronger, and she was making calls back and forth and all that, and it just did not work out because he got worse. However, the facility looked very good.

I went to see The Peninsula Assisted Living & Memory Care and toured their assisted living side. It used to be a hospital, so it doesn't have that warm of a vibe when you walk in. The upkeep is great, it just has a hospital vibe. You can't help it because that's what it was before. The room I saw was nice but not as nice as the place that I decided on for my dad. This one is an older facility. They were busy and the person who assisted me was running back and forth. I was supposed to see this other person but a different person jumped in so it seemed a bit unorganized for me. I scheduled this for a specific time so they knew I was coming. They're helpful and friendly though and gave me information. They also gave me a booklet. The dining area looked nice, but I have to say that even with a mask on, the food did not smell good. They have activities all day in different areas. They showed me the movie room, the library, and everything. They've got the full amenities.

I was able to tour The Peninsula. The physical appearance was clean and bright. It was very clean, and the lighting was very light. It's very open. The person who assisted me was extremely helpful. There were some people that were watching TV. I saw activities. It was late in the afternoon, 3:00 or 4:00. The residents looked well-dressed, and they looked happy. They have an area where you can be outside, but it's really enclosed and it's just beautiful. It's a beautiful place. The rooms were well thought out and there's plenty of room. The light can come in, they're not dark, and just plenty of space. Even for the room that was shared by three or four people, there's plenty of space.

My mom moved to The Peninsula. At this moment, it could use some improvement. The food is fine, my mom likes the food, but the care is very confusing. I asked for a heating pad, they said they couldn't do that. She just got out of the hospital, so orders for this and that, and they can't get any prescription. I'm trying to get a doctor, and all the management people told me that a doctor would be here. But there's no doctor here, he just comes once or twice a year. A nurse practitioner named Jennifer comes here every week. But next week she's not gonna be here, so I asked who's going to take her spot, and she said nobody. I think that should have coverage, it can't just be her. They need people to step up and do their jobs here and check up on them every week. I'm so confused. The management is pretty good, but the nursing isn't, it's very poor and they're very ignorant. When you ask questions, they just look at you and they don't answer you. They pass the buck all the time. When I asked for a heating pad, I talked to four or five different nurses and finally got an "Oh, no, we can't do that." When I asked them if they have the paperwork for the VA for my mom and they just looked at me and didn't say anything. I said "Excuse me, I'm speaking to you. I said do you know if they have the care papers from the VA for my mom?" and they just kept looking at me and staring. The facility itself is very nice and clean. I've seen them play bingo and some kind of pow-wow in the TV room today. I think it's overpriced. We have a situation right now with the cable, and she's been here a few weeks now. They were supposed to fix it, they were supposed to have Comcast come out, but there are no local stations.

My mom will be moving into The Peninsula. She's not there yet, but I was impressed with it. The lobby entrance was grand, it looked like a palace, and everything was marble. The tour guide was very respectful and pleasant. She explained everything in detail about the price and the different size rooms. The rooms and the building looked new like they'd been renovated. The dining room was impressive, very big and bright. The staff made it sound like aides and the assistants are very organized. The place was very impressive. I saw the menu, it looked nice and there was a lot of variety.

My father is a resident of The Peninsula. They were great when I reached out to them initially. They were very responsive. Now that I have him in there, I'm having a hard time getting answers on stuff. The staff is OK. He has a small room. I believe that this room is supposed to be for one person, but they're making it out for two. I had a meal with him the first day. It was decent and good. They have different exercises. They provide transportation within 10 miles. They have a library with books and do games. He gets three square meals a day, so I'm satisfied with that. The building is great.

I have chosen The Peninsula because of the cleanliness of the place, the staff and the room. My mother will be moving in. It is part of the Meridian Senior Living. The place is clean. They do activities seven days a week. It is a very inviting place to live. The staff is very friendly and very attentive. It is clean inside and out, and I was very impressed the way everything was set up. It is also closer to where I live. The rooms are very well kept. The dining room is nice. The recreation room is nice, and they have a movie theater. It is a very nice place.

Everything at The Peninsula was very clean. I didn't have anything negative to say about it. The people there were nice, the facility was nice, including the rooms. It was a very nice place. They had an activities room where they did exercise, played bingo, and did art. They had a computer room, an atrium, and a place for meals. They gave me an apple pie when I left, and my mother-in-law loved it; she ate it all. The tour was very good. The staff was great, and the lady who walked me around was very informative and nice. The facility was nice and updated.

We had a meeting with Robert, and we met Alexandra too, at The Peninsula. They were very good, and we were ready to go ahead, but suddenly my husband was hospitalized. We were going to take my husband for an evaluation, but at that time they did not have a bed for memory care, so I called them and told them we will wait until they have a bed available, and after that this happened. They showed us the memory care wing. That wing was good, they had been renovating and painting, so it was OK. They have not finished doing the inside renovation, but it looked like at least they were working on it; it looked good. Robert was the one who gave us the tour and he was very pleasant, professional, and he was good. The facility looked clean and it was OK. We just walked around, and we saw two of the rooms. It was OK. Robert really took care of us and he showed us everything.

The Peninsula was really expensive like a lot of the facilities are, but it was very nice. The staff was very nice. Everybody was great. The services were really good. It was a little on the expensive side, but it would be worth it. The facilities were good, and the rooms were big. Even the studios were big. Everything was good. The dining room was very clean. The residents were happy.

My mother is at The Peninsula. It's a five-story building, very much like a hotel, and they only have semi-private rooms. They have a dining hall, activities, a nurses' station, and a memory care section. They have bingo and church services, and they provide homemade food. The staff is friendly and helpful. They have a hairdresser that comes in and does hair and nails, and they offer transportation to doctors' offices within ten miles of the facility.

The Peninsula was older than the other places we've visited. The people who accommodated the tour were quite nice and pleasant. And when it came down to negotiating, they were okay. But since the building is older, the layout of the community is not conducive for my father. The apartment we were looking at was a little bit far from the dining area, and it would have been a challenge for my dad to walk there. They have a beauty salon and sort of an ice cream parlor. The outdoor area that's a little bit confined but it's okay, it's sufficient. The facilities weren't run-down, just a little bit old and showing wear and tear, so because of that there's no wow factor. The carpets are business grade kind, it wasn't plush nor luxurious. The apartments were spacious but you dont go wow.

The place is very pretty. I believe they recently renovated and I was surprised at how nice everything looked and how clean it was. The residents there were enjoying a nice musical activity when I toured and overall everyone seemed friendly. I am definitely considering this place for my mother. Out of all of the places I visited, this one by far was the best!

I love the Peninsula, and I thought they can handle my husband. He was very aggressive when he got there and was behaving very badly, but I think it was not their fault. They are very good. They are serving 3 meals a day, and they have activities during the day like bowling, dominoes, and cards.

My mother was a resident of this fine facility, both in assisted living and dementia care for 14 months. I would rate the Peninsula 100****'s for their delightful ambience, delectable cuisine, and, of course the competent, caring, compassionate administration and staff. Thank you all! If in need of an excellent venue for a loved one, The Peninsula should be at the top of your list!

The Peninsula is lovely and really nice. They have activities, though I think my mom wants more activities because it’s geared toward continuing care. They are nice to her, and the meals are good. She’s made friends there; she was pretty much just sitting in home by herself before. They take the residents shopping and out to dinner. They have nice things for them to do and don’t overstress them. She is not alone, which is really the key, because when she was living with me, she was home alone as I and my cousin worked. She had a couple of falls that she didn’t tell us about. It seems clean and nice. They all seem nice and caring, too. I had dinner there with her, and they are very accommodating. She likes the studio, and she has one of the biggest ones with which she is very happy. Because she is in a studio downstairs, she actually gets up as opposed to just staying in her bedroom.

My mom was a resident at this community for 5 years, it was as happy as it could be for her. During her last days the staff bent over backwards to accommodate her, they also have hospice on site which also aided with her condition. I couldn't have asked for more. She made so many friends and they had a little ceremony at the community after she passed. I would highly recommend this community to any family!!

I am searching a facility for my aunt. I really liked The Peninsula, but the only issue that I had with it was that it is too far for me. I wanted something closer to where her sister and other parts of the family can visit. It is nice though, and I liked it. I would have wanted her to see it. I like the fact that they have a cafeteria, where she can pick out her meal through the menu up on the board and a movie room. I also like that the people were out and about and were not confined to a room. They could come and go freely and were treated like any regular people to me, and I liked that. The ones I saw seemed to be happy. They were laughing, socializing, and playing cards. They were doing everything. It has pretty much everything she will need. But we are concerned with the location because we don't want her to be somewhere people cannot go and see her. I'll recommend this to my aunt.

My mother is a current resident of The Peninsula. It is smaller than some we have looked at but this one appealed to her in that it is not overwhelming for her. We put her there primarily because she has macular degeneration and secondly because she has dementia. She can no longer live by herself because she is almost blind. There is also a likelihood that she is going to get Alzheimer's. Fortunately, this place would make it possible for her to advance to their Alzheimer's unit. The facility was once a hospital converted to an assisted living facility. However, it is clean and immaculate. It doesn't smell like urine. Their lobby is just gorgeous. They do have areas for activities where there have their card tables, TV, etc., but no one uses these areas. They also have a little gazebo area but nobody goes there. All of their residents just sit on park benches in front and stare out at people as they come in. It is the most depressing and heartbreaking sight in the world. The staff is so friendly. At one time, they helped defrost my mom's small refrigerator, so when a friend of mine and I stopped over for a visit, there was no ice. One of the attendants offered to get us some and two minutes later, she came back with three Styrofoam glasses full of ice for us. That's their attitude all the time, not just to their patients, but even to us visitors as well. Food is excellent in The Peninsula. The chef that they have even caters to the residents' preferences and needs. When he found that my mother's last name was German, he had put some German dishes on the menu and that is so sweet. They have three meals a day and they do happy hours with cheese and crackers twice a week. They have popcorns with the movies. They have ice cream social once a week. There is always food. I appreciate that.

The people at The Peninsula are very nice. My parents are there and they got two rooms. The facility is nice. The only thing is that the hours that they eat are very early and I think that's probably the hardest thing that they would get accustomed to.
