"Staff is always friendly and open to request . The Nurses and Staff keep me informed on any changes including Medication , changes in behavior , etc. I would recommend this facility to others as someday if I should so need to move due to health issues or unable to take care of my home I plan to move in Sunset home . "

"My parents are staying at Lutheran Sunset Ministries in Clifton. Based on my experience it's been good. They really like the staff and they said they like their fellow residents. Their room is well laid out, it's open concept, so it's easier to get around, and pretty much the only interior door is the one for the bedroom. It's good in case they would need a wheelchair or something like that. They really like the food too, and a couple of times I visited I also sampled it. It was very good. The staff is very friendly and helpful, neither I nor my parents have had any issues with them. They're very good and very professional. I like the way the facility is laid out. My parents are definitely getting a good value for their money."

"I am a resident of Country Club Retirement Community Assisted Living. They're all alike and it depends on their location as to the price. They have a courtyard and their own space in the courtyard, and the ones to the front are a little higher than the ones at the back but they all have a little patio. We have a pretty good-sized kitchen. We have a microwave and then some of them have a dining room, a small dining table, and chairs in there. Then the living area which is big in my bedroom. The apartments are very spacious. We have a window and we have our own individual air and ceiling fans, and then we have the back door out to our patio. Each room has its own air and heat and a ceiling fan. Then when you come into the kitchen, we have a little pantry and a little pantry closet. You have your lavatory and the countertop, and a big walking closet. The rooms are very spacious. It has a computer set up, some of them have their own. The best area is separate. You have your commode and walk in the shower. We have our meals. There is a sunroom with couches where you can sit and read. We have a big exercise room and we also do bingo and games. We have a hairdresser. If you want to do your laundry, there is no charge. We have two washers and a dryer. We have a church and on Sunday morning we have a regular preacher and at 4:00 on Sunday afternoon, ministerial alliance. They rotate and we have them. They bring music. The staff is very good, very caring. The food is good. They usually give us a choice. The building is nice and it's very clean."

"Town Hall Estates Whitney INC is pretty awesome. They were very kind and caring people. I was impressed. I watched some of these staff members personally who gave a big smile and picked up what was thrown on the floor or whatever. I saw those numerous times, and they were some phenomenal folks. They had a menu that residents went through. The food was good. My folks never complained about the food. They ate everything that was put in front of them. Some days when they couldn't go to the cafeteria because of mobility issues, they were served in their rooms. What you got in the room was the same thing they were serving in the cafeteria. Most of the time when I saw the director, they were doing some kind of game. They were playing dominoes and they had some card games and some other things. They had a television, and they had a big birdhouse in the facility. They had canaries and parakeets that they could roll up and watch. Some of those folks didn't quite appreciate or weren't able to do some of the activities, but a lot of times I saw someone who was not able to participate, sit down and watch. They tried the activities to be all-inclusive as best as they could. They had some folks come in on Sundays and had biblical devotionals. While my folks were still there, I did that with them. They had a retired pastor and his wife was there, and she played the piano. They were both residents. They were very kind and caring. It's an older building. Some issues were being worked on while my folks were there. But they had two guys on staff that did maintenance stuff, and they were busy all the time. It was an older building, but they worked hard at it. The value for money was very good. There was a lady that did all the billing for Medicare and Medicaid and all that kind of stuff. When I went in and talked to Pam, she would sit down with me and say, 'OK, the government did this, this, this and this, and this is what you owe us.' She had everything itemized, so I knew exactly what was going on. My folks shared a room for 11 months together. My mom passed away first, and then my dad six months later, but I knew every detail of their bill, which was impressive."

"My dad is at Hillside Medical Lodge for rehab. Everybody has been very friendly, very nice, and very helpful. The room is probably a little smaller compared to when he was in an actual assisted living, but they keep everything very nice. They take very good care of him, so I don't have any complaints. I haven't tasted the food, but he seems to enjoy it. I would say it is worth the money because they do a very good job with him."

"My mother moved into Providence Village in Waco. So far they have been great. The facility is well kept, clean, and maintained. The food is good, they are very well fed. Even with COVID still going on they are not doing 100 percent of their activities yet, they're at about 50 percent to 60 percent of them, so there's still a lot going on. They do bingo, obviously. As a matter of fact they never even stopped bingo. They set the chairs up outside everybody's room and call bingo from the hallway. They have church service there, they have two different ones, a Catholic organization and a non-denominational service. They are still doing some of the activities where they take people to places, not the doctors' appointments, but out shopping. Still going on some of the field trips where it is safe. Once a week they have what they call "afternoon delight," which can vary from cookies, cakes, and ice cream. Just something to bright up the week. I have eaten there only once, but my mother says the food is really good and I know they actually have a chef there. As for activities, they are doing more than any other place. Eventually, they will get back to doing everything that they were doing. For the price, I think they are probably on the lower end considering all that they provide."

"My uncle was at Coral Rehabilitation and Nursing of McGregor. What I liked most was that they seemed more attentive to the patients. They were very friendly. They didn't have much entertainment for the people at the beginning. They had tables and chairs, and you could watch TV, and that was it. They had just opened it and that's all they had. They had a lot of private rooms. My uncle had a private room, and had more space than he does now. They were all attentive to him and very kind. They would stop by and say hi. They were on top of things. I never saw anybody fussing, complaining, or telling them to wait. It's an older building, but they kept it clean. And they were working on putting in a gathering place and working on fixing up the yard and the building and all that."

"Since my mom has a memory problem, we have chosen Westview Manor because they have locked areas where she stays, so that was the main thing. The room is just average. Some of the employees are really, really nice, and then some of them just don't talk to you hardly at all. I have not tried their food, but they don't look all that good. I would say they're average. However, the dining area is good. They usually eat in a big, open community area. It's always clean and everything looks nice. They have an outdoor courtyard that's enclosed, and they do lots of activities. They have bands and people come and sing for them. They play games and stuff, so it seems like they have a lot of activities. My mom has adjusted pretty well, so for her, it has been OK. We haven't been 100% satisfied with it, but it fits OK for us."

"Oaks at Coryell is nice. They furnish everything, but it's small. The staff was friendly. "

"My mother was a resident in the Secure Unit. We never had a single complaint about the care she received from the staff. Everyone always seemed to have the resident’s best interest in mind. They constantly worked to add value to the lives of those in their care. The facility was always clean and fresh. The social worker was kind and helpful, the receptionist was sweet, and the unit nurses and assistants were loving, hard working, and wonderful! "

"RehabLiving at The Meadows was a very nice facility. The staff who assisted me with the tour was very professional, very nice, and very helpful. The building was recently remodeled and it was very nice. They had physical therapy, planned activities, art rooms, exercise rooms, and TV rooms. The courtyard looked very nice. We were very impressed with the place. It was all one story, and it had a very nice layout."

"We’ve been very pleased with Hill Country Estates. The staff has been very good. My father in-law has a little dementia. They’ve been very good in watching him and in taking good care of him. He’s been with Hill Country since July of last year. His room is large enough and comfortable. He’s got a big screen TV. It has a kitchenette and little refrigerator. The food has been excellent. They have 3 different cooks. Overall, they did an excellent job! "

"My husband was at Ridgecrest Retirement and Healthcare and they were very good to him. His stay there was excellent, much better than the place he was in Houston. I told my son if he put me in the nursing home that he would send me back to Ridgecrest Retirement and Healthcare. It is a wonderful place. It's out on the edge of the woods, in the lake, and has a lot of animals that are from the woods that come to visit, especially in the winter. It's very low profile and the people are really nice. It's older, but it has a very, very warm atmosphere, and they took good care of my husband. They saved his life a couple of times and I like the care plan he had and the attention that he got. I saw their little directory of activities and they had quite a few. My husband didn't take part in many of them but they had them there. I met a lot of women that were going to all sorts of stuff."

"My partner moved into Hico Nursing & Rehabilitation. It's very good. They come in and do exercise with him, even though it's not to rehab him, they're still getting his legs moving around, doing transitions, and they're still getting him busy."
