"Hampton at Pearland was a nice but very expensive facility. It was clean and well-kept. Everybody was very nice. They also have a lot of activities. I have no problems with this facility, it is just finding a place that's affordable. "

"Of all the ones in the immediate area that I looked at, I liked Rosemont the best in terms of the setup. The staff was really friendly. The director gave me a tour. I found the director very open to questions. She gave a lot of information, and she was very friendly. I think it would be a good-sized community for my mother. I liked the range of activities that they offered. You could bring your own furniture. There were plenty of different community rooms, like a dining room, a recreation room, and a craft room. It looked nice and presentable."

"I went to Orchard Park at Victory Lakes. It seems very nice and would suit my daughter's mother-in-law's needs. We liked it. I just came in contact with Stephanie, the community relations director. And she was very helpful and she didn't rush me or anything and took me to see the room that was available at that time. They were getting ready for availability, and it was very nice. It seemed like they had a lot of fun things to do. I saw the calendar for the month and they take them somewhere every Friday to the museums in Houston, or to Galveston to ride the ferry and go shopping. I liked their menu. I saw their menu, and then they also had a whole list of things that if you didn't like what they were having that day, you could choose something else, and I liked that. That was good. The facility was very clean, pleasant, and pretty."

"The Village of the Heights is too expensive. They offer everything for amenities. They're like a millionaire's club, and that's all. They didn't invite us to eat there, but the rooms that I saw were fine. I spoke to the supervisor who showed us all the facilities."

"My dad is at Kingwood Memory & Assisted Living. What I like best about it is it's just a small place and a small community. They communicate well with you about what's going on with your family. The staff is very caring and loving. The food has also been good. My dad's been eating. Yesterday they had a huge Thanksgiving meal. That was all home-cooked. The facility is nice. I just think right now my dad is probably the most alert person there. He doesn't have anybody to talk to, so he's kind of bored there. He is in the memory care."

"My mom has moved into The Village of River Oaks. We chose them primarily because it's pretty close to where we live, and they have a Hoyer lift accessibility. The place is brand new and beautiful. Everybody seems very friendly and helpful. They have activities all day long. They got puzzles, cribbage, painting, and of course they got food. There's food out for the residents all the time, and they've got outdoor areas where you can sit outside in the sunlight. They've got a nice view of downtown. They publish an itinerary every day and hand it out to all residents. They have a piano player that comes in once or twice a week and plays piano for them. I think it's pretty typical for a living facility. The food is fine. It's not Four Seasons, but it is good and it's quality food. The place is very expensive though. There's nothing perfect, but this is probably the closest you could get."

"We are at MorningStar at River Oaks. I'm very pleased with it. I'm quite happy with being here. I don't have any real complaints here. We've only been here about six weeks, so we are just getting oriented. I think the staff members are excellent. They're very attentive and well-trained. The food is very good. The building is first class. It has only been open about a year and a half, so it's top-of-the-line. In terms of activities, they have a daily program of things that we can attend. They provide quite a bit of support if you need it medically. It seems like they have a lot of attention without having to be like to have access to a pharmacy if you want. They have pretty much everything I can think of."

"We toured The Reserve at Pearland. The facility was amazing. When I walked in there, the facility was clean. The residents were clean, too. They were friendly. The staff was amazing. She explained everything to me. At some point I think my dad may end up there, it is just not now. I think it's really a great place. I spoke with the director as well. I went into the kitchen, and just based on observation, everything was extremely clean. The food looked great. There were quite a few amenities, and just based on what my father's needs are, they had everything there. It's also really accessible. It's like five minutes from me, and ten minutes from my brother. Great facility. Great staff."

"I visited The Village of Southampton about six weeks ago. I liked the fact that they had three levels of care, independent living, assisted living, and memory care. It's all in one building. It's a high-rise building. They had activities for the people who live there. Everything was provided. They give you a list of activities for the whole month. Everything looked perfect. Everything was perfect. I saw an apartment, the dining room, the different rooms where they have activities, and I saw the vehicle that carries the people wherever they want to go. I talked to a couple of the residents, and they seem to be happy there. The staff who showed me around was very professional. I didn't try the food and seeing the menus, it looked very good. And they will take care of special diets."

"From the tour that we took it seemed to be a very nice place for the elderly, especially those with physical and mental limitations, to live. The staff all seemed to generally care about the patients and wanting to provide them with the best care possible. My grandma seemed particularly concerned about the meals and not having variety since she has always cooked for herself, but they have a cafateria with a menu that you order off of, which honestly shocked me because I thought that most places like this served planned meals. There are nurses that assisted everyone to the dining area at lunch time. They have many activities such as dances, live music, exercise facilities and much more. The rooms were spacious and the bathrooms have all of the safety features expected of a facility to be used by the elderly. Overall, Belmont Village seems like a wonderful place to live and my Grandma is definitely still considering it. The only caveat to this is you will definitely be paying for what you get, however it seems well worth it. "

"I’m in love with this facility. My aunt whom I’m so very close to had to abruptly move into this facility. The entire staff and residents helped so much with such an anxious time for me because I don’t live in the area. Betsy was amazing as we toured many times and checked with us regularly before we made our decision, She was personable and so kind. Then after we decided Stephany stepped in and literally had to walk me through everything because I was by myself. They even helped me secure a wonderful company to move her at the last minute. I felt it was all designed by God. Bob was amazing getting her tv set up the night she moved and was so kind to her, Michael was so sweet and amazing as well to us that first week end getting her involved. This is never an easy decision for the new resident or family but we were blessed to find Brookdale Pinegate"

"The Village of Meyerland was great and very personalized to my mother. There was someone higher up that took the time to see us. They took time to talk about my mother. It ended up after taking all the tours that is was one of the pricier ones. I felt like the rooms were really nice and spacious. It's a smaller community and close by to where I live. I would consider it. It seemed like they would work with me. The rooms were big and clean, and they felt like apartments. They felt like independent living (not assisted living), so I thought that was nice. Everything we saw was really nice. The amenities were good. They had large good windows, and tall ceilings. It seemed like there's a lot of little stations for adults to cook and take classes, sit outside, look out the windows, and pretend they were in an office."
