"My mother is in Laporte Healthcare Center. They make good food. The people are really nice and friendly. It's really nice. They share rooms that have two beds, dressers, and a little nightstands. You have to furnish the TV yourself. They don't have a phone and don't have their own restroom. "

"The facility is very nice and clean. Most interactions are wonderful, but there is little or none, follow thru on requests or services that are needed for services in the room. What you ask one person for, if someone else has to complete it, they are not informed, or at least say they didn't know about it. Hold times on phone are LONG if answered. But other than those issues, the staff is very nice and polite. Do not see the doctors much and they do not call the family when requested. Still waiting on a call from a few weeks ago. I am not there when the Dr comes, but I don't know when he is there so I can come up then. "

"San Jacinto Manor is right next to my granddaughter's high school and its really close to home. I love staff there as they are really good and they communicate with me all the time. Even the office people talk to the residents, greets them, and helps them all the time. It's my first choice, but the problem is they would not accept any Medicare advantage plan. I love this place. "

"My mother was at The Courtyards at Pasadena for several months. The dining room was good. There was no smell, and it was kept clean. And the food was pretty good. I was there now and then and I ate with my mother there. The meal was okay. Regarding the staff, they were hit-and-miss, but the front office staff was great. Some of the caregivers were a little lax. My mother was in skilled nursing, and they took pretty good care of her there. They had activities. They tried to keep them a little busy, so that was good. They had an actual menu, and they could choose three or four different things for their meals for the day. The Courtyards was pretty good as far as activities and therapy."

"My dad is at Bridgecrest Rehabilitation Suites for skilled nursing. It's good. They're very careful with him. They provide rehab, laundry, and meals. Because my dad can't get out of bed, they're also offering bed bath, bed care, and oxygen. Sometimes we have trouble at night because one staff member is covering everybody. Other than that, the staff members are very good. They're very thorough, very attentive, and very knowledgeable. They can explain things that we have questions about. Currently, my dad is still bedbound so he is not able to go to some of their activities. However, I do know that they have games and activities every day. Like today, they have singers who come in and sing for them."

"My mother-in-law was at Vista Nursing & Rehabilitation Center for 2 months. I liked everything about it. It was clean and it didn't smell like urine. The people were excellent. I didn't eat there, but she raved about the food. It's an older facility, but her room was nice. It had a closet and drawers. They had a very nice and very large dining area with lots of tables and chairs. They had bingo and all kinds of different socials. They played games. If I could have kept her there, I would have. This facility was fantastic. I would just like to add that their staff was great. It was like a family. They cared about my mother-in-law and were very attentive, and I appreciated that very much."

"I loved it! Therapy was spectacular and nursing care was fascinating. If there was a dilema it was corrected in a timely manner. I highly recommend this place. Their staff is very loving and compassionate about their jobs. "

"My brother stayed at Focused Care at Pasadena. I was going to pick him up because we were going to go look at another facility, but when I went to see him there, he was sick. It turned out he had COVID pneumonia. The place was clean, and he liked the physical therapy people. The only complaint I have, and I guess it's a serious complaint, was that they didn't pick up on him getting sick. I flew in and went in that day to pick up his keys to his place, and he was just gurgling and kind of out of it. I started trying to get their attention to look at him; one person said, "I thought that I told the doctor, and I thought it was kind of strange he didn't do anything." That was the only thing I had. The people were friendly, and I liked them, and my brother liked the place. He went back there even after the COVID. I just felt like they kind of weren't serious about his condition at that time. It was very clean, and it smells good. I had a friendly feeling about it, like when you went in, people were friendly to you. Overall, I like the people I've worked with, and some of the social workers were very helpful. The physical therapy people seem very involved in coming by and doing the physical therapy. I even got to know the administrator a little bit. She was very involved and talked to me about my brother. Overall, I liked the staff. I just felt like that might have been an unusual situation that happened. They might have been shorthanded, but I didn't think they should let them go that long without doing something. The staff were friendly, and they were involved with keeping you informed and professional. Twice, I was there, and they had a musician playing in the dining area. They play bingo. They have kind of little parties, during the holidays, and did things like Halloween."
