My dad is at Bridgecrest Rehabilitation Suites for skilled nursing. It's good. They're very careful with him. They provide rehab, laundry, and meals. Because my dad can't get out of bed, they're also offering bed bath, bed care, and oxygen. Sometimes we have trouble at night because one staff member is covering everybody. Other than that, the staff members are very good. They're very thorough, very attentive, and very knowledgeable. They can explain things that we have questions about. Currently, my dad is still bedbound so he is not able to go to some of their activities. However, I do know that they have games and activities every day. Like today, they have singers who come in and sing for them.

The tour I had of Bridgecrest Rehabilitation Suites was nice. I just realized it's not as open as the other facilities. I asked if my dad would be able to go outside, and the person who gave the tour said he would have to have someone to go with him. There were no common areas where he could go out and sit in the garden, and I didn't like that. The place was really pretty, though, and I liked that it was clean and fresh. They said he would have a room by himself at first until they evaluated the personalities of the tenants to see if they would put them together in a room. The dining area was also okay. They told me what I needed to provide, and we were supposed to send them all of my father's medical records. The person never reached back out to me, though, so I called her eventually two weeks later to ask if they received the information, and they said they did not. I've left messages for them to call back, so I also asked if they have gotten and checked the messages. They said they don't have a liaison, and they've just been a little busy. I didn't like that. I also think my dad needs somewhere a little bit livelier, and I didn't see any patients in the hall when I went in there. I think the place is for somebody who doesn't get around much. My dad, even though he's not able to walk, still rolls. He participated in bingo; he would try to participate in it. He'd also like to go to church and all that, so I don't think it would be a good fit for him.
