"Today I watched on camera their occupational therapists and physical therapists just do a wonderful and caring visit with my wife of 68 years. Also watched a nurse be so kind and gentle feeding her. So much comfort to our family."

"Because The Crescent has skilled nursing facility, that's where my wife had ended up. I would give them 5 across the board. The facility was nice. The rooms were very nice. My wife had a private room and it had everything you needed there. It was very comfortable. The caregivers were excellent. Everybody I came in contact with was very supportive and very nice. "

"I have no problems with the Westbury Place, and they’re taking care of my uncle. He got it thorough the Veterans Administration. They keep it clean. "

"Capstone Healthcare Estates on Orem was clean. It smelled good when you went in there. The lady was very helpful and she explained the prices to us. She took the time to explain it. She took time with us and that's what we needed to feel good about taking mom over there. The only thing is when I called back and they found out that I might need hospice care, they didn't return phone calls or they didn't return my email. I didn't get a response back. We liked the facility and everything and everything they were saying, but they never called back to verify anything. They need to have some empathy when people are calling about their loved ones. They had a rehab place and all of the modern amenities for the people there, that's why we wanted my mother to go. When they found out that she perhaps was going to need hospice, all of a sudden, I didn't get any more phone calls back. They do hospice if the patient was already there for skilled nursing, but just bringing mom in under hospice won't do."

"The facility is under staffed as far as taking care of patients. The turn over rate for cna's are high. I've witnessed some patients being mistreated by cna's. I suggest you talk to yer friend or relative that is in the facility on a daily basis about everything. The nurses, cna's, treatment, food & proper care. "

"Seven Acres is a care center. My in-laws are in there now. We chose this facility because it's a completely contained facility with doctors, physical therapy, and everything. My parents-in-law don't have to leave the premises. They even have their own clothes and everything and everything is labeled with their names. The rooms are very nice. The common areas are nice. The dining room is set up for couples or singles. It's very nice. They also are serving all kosher foods. Regarding the staff, they call us all the time no matter what. If there's a problem or anything, they're always calling us. "

"My father is in Focused Care at Beechnut. He's in a locked unit now. It's just too far from us. We live on the south side of town and he's on the west side. They take care of him and they entertain them. Since he's in the memory care unit, he has conversations with other people there and he has dementia, so they're kind of talking and talking and I guess they go along with each other and that also keeps them entertained, but they sometimes do activities for them. My other issue is that it smells. It's clean, but you still have a smell. They take care of him and I don't have an issue with that. My issues are that it's far from me and it is an old place, so it does smell. Otherwise, I'm OK with the care that they're giving him. He's in long-term care in the memory unit. I've been there with him for lunch, and he eats it all. They adapted to him as they give him soft food. If it's chicken, they'll take it apart for him because he's kind of a risk of choking. They cut everything up for him to eat, so it could be safe for him, too. They have bingo, crafts, and for my dad's unit, they'll put music for them and have a little bit of dancing and just little things like that."

"My mom is in The Medical Resort At Pearland. I can never get in contact with her and they never let them know that family called, I have to go up there. They had a bug problem a week ago, and they finally took care of that. I asked the nurses about the level of care she would start with and they'd meet the caseworker for her, but when I talked to the administrator she never got the message. I don't care for it at all, so I'm pretty sure she won't be there for long. The food is always cold, they had to always heat the residents' food because it came in cold. It's dry and it's disgusting, so I bring her food. I wouldn't bring my dog there, the place sucks overall. The nurses are rude. They sit there and let the phone ring all night long, they don't answer it. On the first night they transferred her, they were outside for 30 minutes, because the nurse decided she didn't want to open the door on her shift. The paramedic called me and told me they've been there for 30 minutes outside with my mom on a stretcher because they couldn't get in. The lady said she's coming but didn't come and didn't say when she's coming again so they had to call me. The physical facility is nice. It's just that the bugs, the staff, and the food, those things suck. My mom is doing therapy, but other than that, because of COVID, they're just staying in their rooms. It's horrible that her insurance is paying for a place that's not a good place at all."

"My father has been a resident at least 3 times already and I have worked in Healthcare over 18 years and saw things at other facility that I thought was unprofessional and unacceptable. I decided to send him to Westchase, because the atmosphere was friendly! The treatment and care that my father received while at Westchase was excellent! They treated him as if he was royalty and provided him with the best of care. I'm his RP and I was informed about every issue that pertained to his treatment plans, appointments, medication changes and so on. The stereotypes about nursing home in my experience is over rated and untrue. There was things in the facility that was available to him that kept him busy and active in his leisure interests, even took him on outing into the community each month. The food was ok, and he enjoyed the Friday lunch meals, because it was fried fish. The staff is friendly and caring and greeted me at each visit. I have recommended this facility several times and will continue to send my father to Westchase cause I know he is in good hands. "

"We looked at Brazos Towers at Bayou Manor, it's a really nice community, but they require a huge downpayment, like half a million dollars. We saw independent living but they are progressive, they have all three levels of care. The staff there took my parents on three tours, so we went three different times and looked at apartments. I didn't eat there but my parents did, and they said that the food was very good. They have progressive units, independent, memory care, and assisted living, and they seemed to be on top of everything. They have a saltwater pool, they have a salon, and they have a weight room, which is nice because it's all hydraulic weights, so no free weights to drop on your toe and break your little toes. They also have a library."

"Tuscany Village is an excellent place for a love one. I don’t have any complaints. The people are friendly and caring. My mom is very comfortable there. I chose this facility because it's close to my home. Their rooms are nice and comfortable. It has a nice and cozy atmosphere. "

"My mother was at Terra Bella Health and Wellness Suites. It was OK. The staff was nice. The rooms were nice. It was like a hospital-type situation, even though it's supposed to be where they can move on their own and do the things that they need to do. It was more commercial. They have a therapy area and a hair salon. It was very expensive. Even though they have things available, if you're not able to do it yourself or be mobile, you can't take advantage of anything. For all the money that you're paying, it wasn't worth it. Everybody's in a rush. You can't take advantage of all the amenities that they have because they just don't have the staff available. If you wanted your loved ones to be in a nice, clean facility, and they were mobile and able to utilize the facilities and you had the money to pay for it, it would be a good place. The people in the front were very nice, but the nurses were not nice."
