"My mom has been in independent living here for 2 years. She loves the environment and the staff are caring. I like the fact that the facility has 3 tiers of care, so Mom can move up to assisted living and even full nursing care in the future if she needs it. The campus is beautiful and peaceful, and close to the Texas Medical Center."

"I am very pleased with the level of care this facility provides to my spouse. Staff are helpful and tend to my spouse's daily and special needs. I am particularly impressed with the contractors they have come into the facility to provide specialized medical services i.e., nurse practitioner, podiatrist and psychological services. Communication provided by physical therapy staff, nursing staff, business office, transportation staff is excellent. The rooms are kept orderly and clean. The physical therapy department is well staffed and they work very hard to encourage my family member to improve. I would offer the highest recommendation for this facility."

"My friend is in Chelsea Gardens. They have an excellent staff and the nurses are just fantastic. It's convenient and it's clean, but I have some complaints. I have never met the house doctor, although I've asked twice to see him. Otherwise, it's a very good facility and all of the people are outstanding. It's a very good facility. They have three meals a day and my friend does eat them, so I guess they're OK. He seems to be happy with the activities. They played bingo, and they showed movies. He seems very content with that."

"My mom was a resident of Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Sugar Land. They have a very caring staff. They got to know you. It was a cleaner facility than any hospital we've been in. The staff was wonderful. Also, the food was wonderful, and very reasonably priced. There's no cost for drinks. I came in every day and my husband went for physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy. There was something for him every single day."

"My Mother stayed at The Medical Resort in Sugarland for 2 years. She received excellent care from the nurses, CNA's and other medical staff. Valerie, Kay Luna and Mary (CNA) were extra attentative. The medical care was good. The food was varied, nutritious, and tasty. The facility was always clean. My Mom's room was well-appointed and comfortable. All of the staff were helpful and friendly. There were activities available, but my Mom did not participate in them. Physical therapy is also available. I recommend The Medical Resort in Sugarland. "

"I visited and toured the facility in preparation for a family member. My Aunt will soon be needing around the clock care. This facility was suggested to me by a close friend. His Mother was a resident at time. She has since passed away. Upon my arrival my initial greeting was awesome. Very friendly Receptionist. I got to meet the care team and all my questions and concerns were answered. I was very impressed with the whole atmosphere of the facility. When the time comes where my Aunt is to much for the family we can rest nowing she will be well taken care of."

" I must say that I am quite surprised to see negative reviews for this facility. My Aunt's experience there was truly superb. Following her hospitalization, our family was very concerned about her future health, but immediately we were impressed by this facility's care and concern given to her. I witnessed her admittance and immediate checkups by qualified and compassionate staff members, and as I live close nearby had been able to check with her almost daily. When admitted, she required a wheelchair, and I am certain that as a result of the regular physical therapy and overall excellent care, including good and timely meals, and overall an excellent living environment, proper follow thru of medications, etc. that she has recieved at Crescent, she has been able to return to home, walking on her own, with partial help of cane, and feels literally worlds better. Bravo to Crescent Sugar land, and thank you SO much for what you have done to improve the life of my wonderful Aunt!"

"My mother has moved into Capstone Healthcare Estates on Orem. The staff is very supportive in guiding me through the process. They are very helpful. The facility is very nice. It is well-maintained and clean. She seems to like the food. I just had a few incidents with them as far as bathing and stuff, but she's been pretty much on schedule since then. They have various activities. They have bingo, social hours, and a women's group. For the holidays, they've brought in choirs to sing and musicians to play. There were just a couple of issues that had to be resolved, like it took them a long time to fix the TV."

"The facility is under staffed as far as taking care of patients. The turn over rate for cna's are high. I've witnessed some patients being mistreated by cna's. I suggest you talk to yer friend or relative that is in the facility on a daily basis about everything. The nurses, cna's, treatment, food & proper care. "

"My father was diagnosed with Dementia & Alzheimer's almost 5-years ago. in 2011, we had to move Dad to Seven Acres where he lived for over 4-years - on the Alzheimer's floor. The care and compassion shown to him during these last years was so much more than we could have hoped. We were at peace knowing he was treated with respect and love. We want to thank the entire staff, and especially those on the 2nd floor Miller unit for their love. Dad passed away a few weeks ago and the outpouring of caring meant more than they could ever possibly know. "

"We toured University Place Nursing Center. I liked it a lot. I need to be on a special kind of diet, and the chef was very open to talking with me. He talked about how he managed restricted-food patients, and I liked everything he had to say. It was very helpful, and that was a really good point. Also, it is just a few blocks from where we live. They showed me two-bedroom, two-bath apartments. It looked like the kitchen had just been updated. You have your own washer and dryer in the apartment, and not down the hall. They will not let you bring in any outside help. They have their own help. Three people will be assigned to our apartment, and they'll be coming in every day, so that's just a little intrusive. We went on a Saturday, and we didn't realize that nobody would be there. It was actually the chef who took us on our tour around. That was probably why he gave me as much time, because he knew how to talk about the kitchen and the dietary capacity. He was great, except he didn't know that much about touring. The food was great. We ate in the dining room. It was very well prepared and very well served. The restaurant was quiet but very nice."

"My father is in Focused Care at Beechnut. He's in a locked unit now. It's just too far from us. We live on the south side of town and he's on the west side. They take care of him and they entertain them. Since he's in the memory care unit, he has conversations with other people there and he has dementia, so they're kind of talking and talking and I guess they go along with each other and that also keeps them entertained, but they sometimes do activities for them. My other issue is that it smells. It's clean, but you still have a smell. They take care of him and I don't have an issue with that. My issues are that it's far from me and it is an old place, so it does smell. Otherwise, I'm OK with the care that they're giving him. He's in long-term care in the memory unit. I've been there with him for lunch, and he eats it all. They adapted to him as they give him soft food. If it's chicken, they'll take it apart for him because he's kind of a risk of choking. They cut everything up for him to eat, so it could be safe for him, too. They have bingo, crafts, and for my dad's unit, they'll put music for them and have a little bit of dancing and just little things like that."

"My mom is in The Medical Resort At Pearland. I can never get in contact with her and they never let them know that family called, I have to go up there. They had a bug problem a week ago, and they finally took care of that. I asked the nurses about the level of care she would start with and they'd meet the caseworker for her, but when I talked to the administrator she never got the message. I don't care for it at all, so I'm pretty sure she won't be there for long. The food is always cold, they had to always heat the residents' food because it came in cold. It's dry and it's disgusting, so I bring her food. I wouldn't bring my dog there, the place sucks overall. The nurses are rude. They sit there and let the phone ring all night long, they don't answer it. On the first night they transferred her, they were outside for 30 minutes, because the nurse decided she didn't want to open the door on her shift. The paramedic called me and told me they've been there for 30 minutes outside with my mom on a stretcher because they couldn't get in. The lady said she's coming but didn't come and didn't say when she's coming again so they had to call me. The physical facility is nice. It's just that the bugs, the staff, and the food, those things suck. My mom is doing therapy, but other than that, because of COVID, they're just staying in their rooms. It's horrible that her insurance is paying for a place that's not a good place at all."

"I have a love one in this facility .Yes they may have some issues sometime .What facility dont? I know that if I have any concern at all I can let them know about it and they will adress them right away.I would not place my love one in a facility that I am not comfortable with. When I leave to go home I know she is going to receive the best care. The staff truly care and thats important to me.The therapy team is awsome. That is the best rehab team I have ever seen. They truly are well trained therapist. My mother and I are very happy with our decision to come to this facility . We wouldnt change it for nothing in the world. This is her home and as the staff would say her second family. "
