My mom was a resident of Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Sugar Land. They have a very caring staff. They got to know you. It was a cleaner facility than any hospital we've been in. The staff was wonderful. Also, the food was wonderful, and very reasonably priced. There's no cost for drinks. I came in every day and my husband went for physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy. There was something for him every single day.

I've been in rehab at HealthSouth Sugar Land. Very positive atmosphere and everyone was very friendly. All rooms were private, and I had their largest room. I just accidentally stumbled into it, but it was arranged differently than the rest of them because this place took over a hospital, and the room I had was supposed to be renovated shortly. It was a wonderful room. In fact, I was there for two weeks. I had my surgery -- my replacement surgery -- and then I went back there for a week. They got me from hobbling to walking quite well in a week. The food was excellent in selection and in portion sizes. As for activities, they have physical therapy and occupational therapy, and they have places on the floor for you to sit or your family to sit, they have books and magazines, you may have like a small table or a huge oval table, and you can get outside easily.
