"My brother stayed at Focused Care at Pasadena. I was going to pick him up because we were going to go look at another facility, but when I went to see him there, he was sick. It turned out he had COVID pneumonia. The place was clean, and he liked the physical therapy people. The only complaint I have, and I guess it's a serious complaint, was that they didn't pick up on him getting sick. I flew in and went in that day to pick up his keys to his place, and he was just gurgling and kind of out of it. I started trying to get their attention to look at him; one person said, "I thought that I told the doctor, and I thought it was kind of strange he didn't do anything." That was the only thing I had. The people were friendly, and I liked them, and my brother liked the place. He went back there even after the COVID. I just felt like they kind of weren't serious about his condition at that time. It was very clean, and it smells good. I had a friendly feeling about it, like when you went in, people were friendly to you. Overall, I like the people I've worked with, and some of the social workers were very helpful. The physical therapy people seem very involved in coming by and doing the physical therapy. I even got to know the administrator a little bit. She was very involved and talked to me about my brother. Overall, I liked the staff. I just felt like that might have been an unusual situation that happened. They might have been shorthanded, but I didn't think they should let them go that long without doing something. The staff were friendly, and they were involved with keeping you informed and professional. Twice, I was there, and they had a musician playing in the dining area. They play bingo. They have kind of little parties, during the holidays, and did things like Halloween."

"My mother-in-law was at Vista Nursing & Rehabilitation Center for 2 months. I liked everything about it. It was clean and it didn't smell like urine. The people were excellent. I didn't eat there, but she raved about the food. It's an older facility, but her room was nice. It had a closet and drawers. They had a very nice and very large dining area with lots of tables and chairs. They had bingo and all kinds of different socials. They played games. If I could have kept her there, I would have. This facility was fantastic. I would just like to add that their staff was great. It was like a family. They cared about my mother-in-law and were very attentive, and I appreciated that very much."

"I was very impressed with the care my grandmother was being given here. I would like to thank the staff for being so kind and attentive to her needs. We moved her here when her health declined and we could no longer care for her needs. It is so, so hard to leave a love one in another person’s care. But, they provided us with reassurance that we had made the right decision. The nurses and staff knew her likes and dislikes. They knew how to make her laugh and smile. Thank you for everything."

"My father is in Baywood Crossing Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center. They were attentive to him. I don't have any negative experiences yet because I was only over there on Saturday and he's back in the hospital. The facility is clean. The administrative lady was real helpful. "I chose San Jacinto Manor for mom because it is a small and happy community. The residents are all laughing and cutting up and having a good time. It feels like family, and my mom likes that. She's comfortable, they are taking very good care of her, and that makes me happy. This is the third home that she's in, and now she's happy again. My mother says the food is very good and it just feels homey. The staff are very friendly. They call me to talk about her medications. They call me if she needs anything that is not on her chart. They call me first before they do it themselves, and I'm very pleased with that. The place is very nice and clean. They do bingo and games. They go out to the backyard gazebo and watch the fish in the pond. The residents seem to be very mobile out there."

"We have found a place for my mom, and it's called Magnolia Crossing and Rehabilitation Center. She seems to be settled in. She's been there for a couple of weeks now and seems to be happy. She has a roommate; she likes it. The food is pretty good. We're very pleased. It's close to our house, so we can get there easily. All of my children are close, too, so they like to go visit as well. There were two things that we saw happening when we went to visit Magnolia Crossing. One, there were many staff members available. It is a smaller facility, and instead of six wings, there are four, so they're able to be a little bit more present. The second is that they have showers in the bathroom. They don't have to go down to a group shower down the hall. We don't have any complaints at this point. The decor is appealing, and it's clean. It was Mother's 93rd birthday a couple of days after we moved her in, and the activity folks brought balloons to the room. They're cheerful and attentive. We have had an interaction with everyone so far. The food has been pretty good, according to Mother. Mother is getting some PT. We didn't realize she was able to get some, so we're pleased about that. She doesn't get engaged in bingo and things like that, but they do have activities going on. Regarding value for money, they have accepted her on her monetary ability, so that was a huge thing, too."

"Unless this is the last place taking residents, please go somewhere else. Upon visiting everything was presented as nice and happy patients, etc. Upon being admitted, staff were too lazy, uncommitted or whatever you can think of to help the residents. There was plenty of staff sitting around doing nothing. My relative fell and needed stitches but they refused to seek medical assistance. It took them 13 hours to get around to cleaning the wound needing stitches, and 3 hours to get a glass of water for the patient. Keep looking! "

"My brotherhad a major stroke on the right side and is getting rehabilitation done every day at Courtyard Convalescent Center. When he first entered, he was frail. He’s gaining weight and seems to be happy there. The staff is friendly. They’re steady workers and on guard with the patients. The place is clean. When you walk in, you don’t smell urine. They serve three meals a day. They have an activity director. He has a wheelchair where he can go outside, and there’s a place where they can watch TV and communicate."

"This is my second stay at Ignite Medical Resort Webster. The facility is beautiful. The rooms are surprisingly spacious. Each resident has their own room. There are outstanding amenities including a salon, luxe cafe and restaurant. The food is excellent. i've enjoyed each meal. The staff are friendly and caring. Nelly was one of my caregivers. She was friendly and professional and did everything possible to make my stay here as comfortable as possible. My only complaints are the internet doesn't stay connected and the tv channel listing is wrong. I am not a nursing home resident but there is no other option. I highly recommend Ignite and staff."

"I wouldn’t take mother back to ManorCare Health Services. The place was a dump. Everything is broken, and it’s in horrible repair. You had to bang on the light to get it to come on. The dining area was horrible; the residents in assisted and the ones that could go in by themselves all ate in one area. It was horrible food, horrible service, and a horrible atmosphere. It was $1500 a month more than where she’s at now, but I did like her doctor. She was there a long time, long enough to be dropped by her insurance. I got a prescription bill for $2300 for one month, and they didn’t advise me that I needed to get her on Medicare. Never was there a care plan meeting. They moved her to another wing where there was no therapy, and while she was there, she got pneumonia again. The a/c could not be controlled; it was too cold. I went back a week later. She was still in that room freezing to death. I was freezing to death, and after a fit, they moved her. "

"This is a very nice, convenient facility. It's kept clean, with no foul odors, and when needing assistance, the staff is very willing to help. Our parents are at this facility, and we feel it's a safe, positive environment for them to reside. The staff are friendly and go the extra mile to make daily activities run smoothly. Almost every day, it seems that there is a function going on in the dining area for the residents. Bingo, ice cream socials, residents can attend mass, painting classes, etc. One parent has been at this facility for over two years, and we have been very happy with the staff and facility. I do recommend this location to others. (This facility is also close to hospitals and many doctors offices...very convenient.)"

I was so impressed with the techs, dietary, kitchen, case management, therapists, receptionist, etc. I would highly recommend Kindred Clear Lake. Linda H. "
