"I did look at Regent Care Center of Kingwood. From what I saw, they have a very good rehab facility. The reason why we didn’t chose this place was because they only provide skilled nursing and we wanted mom to be in a facility which has skilled nursing and a memory care unit for easy transition. "

"My sister was in rehab at Kingwood Medical Center twice. It's a very good facility. They saved her life, and I would rate them very highly. The staff was wonderful and all nice. I never saw any of them get upset even if we call them every 2 minutes. They don't have a dining room there. It's like a hospital with a hospital bed, and they bring the food and put it on their tray. It was good, and they had a dietitian come in and discuss the diet and whatever she needed. "

"Great PT/OT. Did everything possible to work with my loved one. Had good communication with nursing which I appreciated. We have been here before. It's not the first time they have returned my loved one to me when I felt so defeated. I appreciate the support and help. I think COVID made it hard, but the protocols seemed good to me which was a relief."

"Crimson Heights Health & Wellness was lovely to my mom. I believe she was happy there before she passed away. The staff members were extremely friendly and caring. The only reason they're not a five-star place is they're not great at responding to phone calls, but other than that, they were absolutely lovely and wonderful. They treated my mom very well. She made friends there, so they did a great job with her. They're just not great at returning messages and phone calls. They have bingo, card tournaments, arts and crafts, dancing classes, and exercise classes. They have weekly visits with a hairstylist and a nail technician for manicures and pedicures, and they also have movie nights. My mom wasn't impressed with the food. The place was always spotless. It was fairly new."

"I have never been in a rehabilitation /nursing home type place in my life. I didn't know what to expect but this was not like like I could of imagined. It is a clean facility and 99.9% of the employees there are so polite and helpful. I was in there for rehabilitation after knee surgery and expected to be neglected and abused. That couldn't be the farthest from the truth. You hear about horrible carin these facilities and expected the worse. I was so wrong. I was in a private room due to not being a permanent resident which made my stay even better. Can't say enough good things in such short writing space. If you're needing a place temporary or permanent please check out this place. Sometimes it takes a while for them to get to the call light. But you never know what is going on in another room that they can't get to you right away. I personally think the lunch and dinner meals need to be switched around. Lunch is the best of all meals, not that the others are bad. "

"My mother was at Encompass Health Rehabilitation. Her room was fine. She did have a roommate, but she complained that the roommate had to sleep with the TV on and that she had a breathing problem. She was pleasant enough, but she made a lot of noise in her sleep. Other than that, the rehab was extremely helpful and professional. My mother complained about the food. By the time she got her food, it was cold, and most of the vegetables were soggy. Nevertheless, the place itself was very nice and clean."

"Deerbrook Skilled Nursing And Rehabilitation was very helpful in providing all the information we requested and they answered all our questions. They have limitations on the visits and what they can show due to COVID but everything they showed us was good. We're going to see the rooms when we come back because they only showed those in a video. We saw the video and everything in the room looks pretty good to go. They have a courtyard, they took us outside and they looked pretty good. They have a secure area and they have somebody to be with the residents. It's well maintained, they have a pretty good setup and a pretty good discipline in the community. The cafeteria is pretty clean, they provide all the meals and everything looks good."

"My mother has been in Kindred Rehab for seven days now. I like the physical and occupational therapy that she received there. It was very clean and spacious. They have only private rooms there. The food is nice, and the aides were great. "

"The rooms at Fall Creek Rehab & Healthcare Center were pretty nice. It's a fairly new facility, and we got on a waiting list with them. They had an activity room and a courtyard."

"My grandparents are in Mont Belvieu Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center which is also a Medicaid-approved facility. The overall facility is very nice; it's a new facility. Any of the staff that we've met has been extremely helpful and very nice. But the negative feature is that they are understaffed. Being a newer facility that opened up during COVID, you can tell that there are a lot of growing pains that they are working through. They're trying to expand and get more patients, and then with more patients, means they have a hiring uptake on there. Right now, they have a few logistics that they're trying to work out, as well as that staffing issue. I know from my grandparents that the first few weeks that they were there, they were very impressed with all the food. But recently, they have not been, and I'm not sure why that has been or if there has been a new chef or something. But I will say that it's declined since they first got there. There's a pond that's next door to the nursing home, and they had volunteers that come out there to bring the residents fishing on that pond. They had some options in terms of activities including a band that played in the facility."

"My mother was at HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital Vision Park for about two weeks. It was good and the nicest one of all the places she was in. They took care of the people. The food was good. The place was very clean. You could tell the grounds were taken care of. The rooms were shared, but she didn't have any one to share her room with. The staff was OK and took their time with her. The food looked decent and better than every other place she's been in. They had a swimming pool."

"On May 1, 2023, after surgery for a broken hip, Memorial Hermann Hospital of The Woodlands suggested I go to Park Manor of the Woodlands for therapy to learn how to walk again. Memorial Hermann screwed me as they never told me my insurance policy would allow for a private room. Park Manor only has semi-private rooms. The main reason to go to rehab is for the physical therapy. I give Amber with Park manor 5 stars. She is excellent as is the rest of the therapy staff. You are only allowed 6 hours of therapy in a week. There are 168 hours in a week so you get therapy for 3.5% of the total week. This facility has a design where there are 4 hallways with patient rooms that extend off of a main area that is carpeted. The hallways are floored with tile about 75 yards long. But every 10 yards or so, there is a patch of carpet about 15 yards long. Have you ever tried wheeling yourself in a wheelchair across carpet? Congratulations on a stupid design. The semi private rooms like room 408 are small. There is room for 2 beds and there is a small bathroom with a sink and a toilet. There are grab bars on the walls. If you are in room 408, there are stains that resemble blood behind the grab bar. There are 2 tv’s about 23 inch wide. Room 408 had 1 tv that could get streaming but not the other. I asked about the WIFI password. They finally gave it to me after the fifth day. The ac unit did not work and they finally changed it out after the second day. After that it worked well. The beds were not comfortable, had old style non electronic controls that were hard to use and I did notice that the beds did not have wheels on the floor. They had to be cranked down. Good thing there was no fire. This is a wonderful place if you want to lose weight. I lost at least 10 pounds in 2 weeks. Typical lunch is a cold, dried out 3-ounce piece of pork chop with cold mashed potatoes. Ice cream cup is like eating cold soup. My wife brought me some apples and cheese crackers. Get used to ordering food delivery. Ambulance service to Park manor from Memorial Hermann was covered in insurance but leaving Park manor is considered transportation services and there is a $290 co-pay. Go eat a meal at Park Manor and look at the beds and rooms yourself before you sentence a loved one to this place. "
