"Kindred was the best place. I liked the motivation, the part that they got to do exercises about three times a day, basically being just consistent in doing that to get her motivated to want to do it, because she started walking when she got over there. The rooms were nice, very up-to-date, and modern. I did not try the food, but my mother said that the food was a little better where she is right now. They washed everything, and they brought it back; we never had anything missing. They got her back to walking, and they were excellent in getting back with me. "

"My father-in-law was at Regency Village. It’s very nice. Everything is on one floor, and it’s nicely laid out as far as I can tell. The activities were good and helped in his rehab. The rooms are nice, very clean, and not really cramped. They were a good size and seemed to have everything that you needed right there. "

"2 and a half months ago, I was given the daunting task of finding my younger brother a skilled nursing and rehab facility in the area after he was injured in a fall at home. I was overwhelmed with trying to find the right place for him. Our family had suffered a horrible ordeal when we had to place our dad in a facility (supposedly 5 star rated) and his and our experience there was as I said, horrible! All I could think about was, what if this happens again? What if I put him in a place that doesn't care for him and were uncaring to family as they were? I had no idea how the insurance worked, I had no idea about how any of this worked. At that point, I started calling facilities that were in his insurance network and the first call I made was to Friendswood Healthcare and Rehab. And thank goodness for that!!! My first contact on the phone was Amy, the Head nurse at the facility. She helped me thru so much, even a few tearful moments and she made me feel so good! Next, I talked to Cindy and set up an appointment for a tour and to meet the staff. I never looked at another facility! I saw the sincere way I was treated, so I felt in my heart that my brother would be treated the same way, and he was! Lauren and her rehab staff worked so diligently with my brother who came in unable to sit up, stand, much less walk in any! We thought that when he first came in there was no way he could possibly go back to his apartment where he lived alone. I thought we would be looking for an assisted living facility for him, and he was only 57 years old. He also could not swallow. He had to have a feeding tube while in the hospital and he transferred to Friendswood with the tube. But after the speech therapy, he graduated to soft foods, and before he left, he was and still is eating a regular diet!! I am telling you honestly that our family had so little hope for his future, and now we all have nothing but hope for his continuing success. After a couple of months of rehab and care at Friendswood Health Care and Rehab, he is back in his apartment (with daily care for some of his needs such as cleaning, bathing, etc) but he is living on his own, something we thought would never be possible again!! When my mom and I visited him, they not only cared about him genuinely, but we got hugs as well from staff!! Cindy, Lauren, Amy, Marilyn, and all the rehab and nursing staff...thank you from the bottom of our hearts! He has a second chance at life and you all helped to make that happen and for that, he and the family will be forever grateful! And thank you for always supporting me in learning the process and helping me sleep at night knowing he was so well taken care of! Yes, I would certainly recommend Friendswood Healthcare Center!!!"

"My mom has been at Park Manor for about two months. We have have been very pleasantly surprised by the overall quality of care and cleanliness. Mom has never been in a facility before and we were expecting the worst. But two friends of mine had their mom's there long term, and were pleased so we chose it based on their experience. The home is always very clean, nice low lighting, and what impressed me most was that ANY TIME I call, I get her immediate caretaker on the line and they almost always are able to answer my question, or get the answer, or begin the process to make changes I request. They noticed peculiarities about my mom that they'd only have noticed if they were spending a lot of time with her, so that impressed us. They've discovered medical issues I didn't realize she had and took fairly quick action to remedy. It is not perfect, as with anything, but we have a sense of peace knowing she has pretty competent round the clock care by trained staff - something we could not do at home. I have actually been brought to tears by the little acts of kindness that various employees have extended to her. So though while no place is ideal, I feel Park Manor definitely makes an effort to provide the best care, and we are satisfied with her care. Just monitor your relative and don't hesitate to bring up problems issues right away! "

"I'm staying in Friendship Haven Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center. It's very nice. It's very large. The room is very nice and very good. Housekeeping comes in every day and cleans the room. The staff are very courteous and very prompt when you call. They have a physical therapy gym, a dining room, and an activities room. I haven't been in all the hallways. I think there's five hallways, and I'm in the rehab hallway, and I have a room to myself. The food is good. They've got very good menus. Very prompt delivery for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They have good activities, and they have games and things. I would recommend it."

"We're very satisfied with Baywind Village. It turned out to be very beneficial to my wife. The facility and services were great, and the care was good. The therapy people were wonderful. They had her walking in three days' time. They had bingo and other games, arts and craft, music, some low-grade yoga, and exercise machines. The staff was efficient, even though they had plenty of people there, they were answering every whim really quickly and you really didn't have to wait for anything. My wife was very satisfied with the food that she got there. She had the choice of bedside feeding or go to a cafeteria setting and eat there."

"My uncle has been at this facility since January 2024, The staff is caring and compassionate. Every time we visit he is up and participating in activities and he loves the food. We are truly grateful he is being taken care of so well. Then new therapy department is awesome."

I love the place and can't say enough about them. They have been very kind and caring and this leaves my mind more at ease. I know they are taken care of. There are many things for them to do there. The center is always welcoming me when I visit and it is always clean and seems every door has happy things hanging on them. I am blessed to have my parents here together. "My mother-in-law was at Vista Nursing & Rehabilitation Center for 2 months. I liked everything about it. It was clean and it didn't smell like urine. The people were excellent. I didn't eat there, but she raved about the food. It's an older facility, but her room was nice. It had a closet and drawers. They had a very nice and very large dining area with lots of tables and chairs. They had bingo and all kinds of different socials. They played games. If I could have kept her there, I would have. This facility was fantastic. I would just like to add that their staff was great. It was like a family. They cared about my mother-in-law and were very attentive, and I appreciated that very much."

"We did not choose Regent Care Center of League City for my mother-in-law because they did not accept Medicaid. Although it was a very nice facility. Everything was pleasant about the place. It didn’t have the smell of a usual nursing home, and the people seemed to be happy. "
