"We are at MorningStar at River Oaks. I'm very pleased with it. I'm quite happy with being here. I don't have any real complaints here. We've only been here about six weeks, so we are just getting oriented. I think the staff members are excellent. They're very attentive and well-trained. The food is very good. The building is first class. It has only been open about a year and a half, so it's top-of-the-line. In terms of activities, they have a daily program of things that we can attend. They provide quite a bit of support if you need it medically. It seems like they have a lot of attention without having to be like to have access to a pharmacy if you want. They have pretty much everything I can think of."

"When I went to Tender Care Assisted Living, it was so very clean. The caregivers were very helpful in giving information, and seeing how they worked while I was there. It was a very nice facility and great caregivers. The communication was very good. They communicated with the patients. While I was there, I noticed a lot of what they were doing, keeping them comfortable, and interacting with them. I noticed that they had outdoor space, which is nice, the living space area for them to come and watch TV out in the living area, which is a very nice size. They have games and interactive games, but I didn't see a workout facility, they said they do work out with them. They're not just sitting in a chair. They try to get them to do some things with their legs and arms."

"My father will be moving into Belmont Village Hunters Creek. On first impressions, I really liked it. We were given a tour by Lexi, and she was really wonderful in explaining it. She had a lot of compassion and empathy, and she really helped guide us. So far, so good. They have a pool and a theater room, so you can go watch movies."

"I was able to visit Buckingham as this facility is a very well known place. It’s a high end facility and also expensive. I have eaten there, and I can say that it's more of a resort-retirement lifestyle. They have so many activities. It’s a beautiful facility. Every single staff there was professional and generally accustomed to dealing with their clients. They treated them with respect and regard. The apartments there are beautiful. They have a very tight security in which they have a guard and a gated entry. "

"It was located in the part of the town where it's easy to get to. I liked that their staff was welcoming and thorough. I loved just the bright and modern look of it, lots of open air, green spaces, and places to gather. But they didn't have the bars down the hall and the building was 8 stories high. I met some of the residents there and they were friendly. They had good activities going."

"My mom has moved into The Village of River Oaks. We chose them primarily because it's pretty close to where we live, and they have a Hoyer lift accessibility. The place is brand new and beautiful. Everybody seems very friendly and helpful. They have activities all day long. They got puzzles, cribbage, painting, and of course they got food. There's food out for the residents all the time, and they've got outdoor areas where you can sit outside in the sunlight. They've got a nice view of downtown. They publish an itinerary every day and hand it out to all residents. They have a piano player that comes in once or twice a week and plays piano for them. I think it's pretty typical for a living facility. The food is fine. It's not Four Seasons, but it is good and it's quality food. The place is very expensive though. There's nothing perfect, but this is probably the closest you could get."

"My mother-in-law broke her hip and we had to move her to The Forum at Memorial Woods. They are really top of the line. The rooms are very, very clean. Everybody is always happy; we've never had a problem so far, and I hope it stays that way. I consider them a top-notch nursing home. Every day, every hour they have something going on. If it is not Bingo, they've got piano people coming in, or they have activities throughout the day constantly. That is a very good facility. "

"The experience had with the mentioned facility was quite pleasant. They were very welcoming, and the atmosphere was very relaxed. The employees did everything in their power to make sure I felt at home. I really look forward to staying that the Hampton at Pinegate this year and years coming. My children also felt comfortable at the idea of me living there. They were happy that I was happy. "

"My mom is a resident at SCR and after visiting many places for her, this one stood out in the uniqueness of a family and home environment, very friendly and caring staff, and cleanliness of facility. The residents are well cared for by the staff and while they do not do planned social activities, they engage with the residents constantly in activities. Families are very welcome and all are treated like one big family. The facility is nicely maintained, bright and cheery. My mom loves it there and we love her being there and so happy."

"Atria was very well laid out. They gave us a pie, and it was good. The rooms were good, the place was clean, and the people seemed happy. Personally, it didn't have as homey feel as others. I don't think they had a good view. It was more in the city and I don't think it had as much green space around it. They had a lot of activities. I liked the staff a lot. They were very pleasant. The people seem to enjoy talking to them. But it wasn't the right place for my mother. "

"They have the absolute best staff. I was very impressed by the facility due to its cleanliness, food, and most importantly, the happy demeanor of the workers there. This happiness rubbed off onto the residents .Their professionalism and courtesy is what makes this facility such a happy place, they're very caring and loving while no place will ever be perfect they are close to it. Never once have I seen anyone subjected to any ill treatment and each worker has had endless patience with the families questions, requests and concerns. They put their heart into helping the patients during dinners, activities and personal care needs. They have never called unwarranted, and have acted in very professional manners when the patients have had any issues. Should Alzheimer's be an issue, they also have a fantastic memory care section that provides extra support and memory pertinent stimulation. Emeritus is a definite must-see for those interested. "

"My husband has been staying in The Village of the Heights. He has been here for approximately four months. We had some rough patches adjusting to the whole thing but that’s behind us now, it has been satisfactory. The direct caregiving staff is very compassionate, very patient, and attentive. The more senior management is a little less, but it's mostly, I think, a staffing problem as far as insufficient staff, which we run into all over the country these days. The rooms are very nice and spacious. They are bright and sunny. They are maintained well, and they have kitchenette type set up. There are lots of activities. They also have a doctor on call that visits here twice a month, and the other two weeks are visited by his physician's assistant. The food is pretty good. They’re down from a five due to the institutional nature of trying to get everything ready at the same time. It’s not always hot off the griddle but it is tasty and good. It’s expensive here but it’s spending on the residents and not on the other things."

"We choose The Abbey at Westminster Plaza for my parents. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. The rooms are first class, brand new, and have the latest technology. They have the best food I sampled from all the places I checked. They have a phenomenal theater room, an in-door pool, a beautiful workout facility, a trainer, a nice patio, and an ice cream parlor. "
