My husband has moved to The Forum At Memorial Woods. He is in their memory care. The caretakers are very friendly and attentive, and the community itself seemed lively. His room is excellent and the staff are helpful. I only experienced one meal there, and it was fantastic. The dining room is large and very nice like a five-star hotel. They put out an activity calendar that is so full that there's no way a person could do it all. They have activities listed 7 days a week, from 9 to 6.

I toured The Forum At Memorial Woods. They had valet service, which was fabulous. However, it's a condominium, and they had no windows. That was their only downfall. Everything else was wonderful. The staff was fabulous. They had every game imaginable, including card games. It's beautiful, but not worth the money compared to the other community.

I'm at The Forum at Memorial Woods. The people in the facility look happy, like they enjoy themselves and their community. They have an indoor pool, so you can have physical therapy and water therapy right here where you live. They feed you three meals a day and that's included in the rent. It's better than hospital food. They have games like bingo, dominoes, and Wii bowling on the screen. They take you to Walmart, H-E-B, and Kroger. They have a movie night, a happy hour, and different get-togethers. For new members, once a month we have a party and they meet everybody. I like my room. It seems open because there's a lot of glass. I can see outdoors, the buildings, the sky, the birds, and stuff like that. It is a small studio. The staff members work hard. They're very open to suggestions. I think they need to get a P.A. announcement though, where if something terrible has happened and you need to tell everybody, and you didn't have time in advance to warn them about it, you can have an overhead announcement where everybody can hear all of the things to help us feel more safe. It's wheelchair accessible, but some places were not handicap friendly, like the indoor pool's restroom. I'm on the fourth floor, and when the elevator opens I'd like to see brightness (it's a little dark). The chairs are dark and like they're used up. They need to be refreshed and they need to be brighter because it helps cheer you up.

The forum at memorial woods has been an excellent home to my mother. I am grateful for the front office and all the health care workers who without a doubt have had some intensive training. The communication over the past year during the pandemic has been phenomenal. The protocols put into place to protect the residents was swift and effective. We were all scared and the supervisors communicated with me as much as they possible could as I could not be there.

My dad is a resident of the independent living level of The Forum at Memorial Woods. The place is well-appointed, has very nice rooms, and a professional staff. I would say they're the best place for highly social and independent seniors. The food is fine, but they don't always offer healthy options.

I went to The Forum at Memorial Woods, but I did not see the apartments. All of the staff seemed to know the residents and called them by name. It was more formal because the men and women wore dresses and coats. The residents looked happy. It looked like they were going somewhere when I was there. No one was idle or waiting around. They were out and about and some were going to get a haircut. It was active. It's like walking into an apartment complex. They were very accommodating and friendly.

The Forum at Memorial Woods was very good and I would rather them highly. The staff was very courteous and knowledgeable. They also have long term care facility within the same ground and I like that. The rooms were very nice and clean as well.

The people who assisted me at The Forum at Memorial Woods were very helpful, very nice, and very cooperative. The whole facility had a very nice atmosphere. All of the concierges and waiters seemed to know the residents by name and were very friendly and helpful. My mom has not moved in yet, but she will be moving in at the end of this month. She stayed there for a week on a respite while I was out of town, and she liked it well enough that she decided to move there. So far, everything has been very good. The services were very good, and the food was excellent.

The Forum was a very exclusive and very exquisite place. It was absolutely excellent. Everybody was friendly, nice, and very professional. They had piano nights and social nights. They had a lot of activities for the residents. Every floor had a senior captain, and every person had a life alert necklace. I loved this place.

The Forum has independent, assisted, and skilled nursing. The independent is good, but I don't know anything about the assisted, and I don't recommend the skilled nursing. The independent part is a five star facility, and they have a lot of activities. The food in the dining room is good. They have a beauty salon, happy hour, and all kinds of activities. They have all kinds of activities, and the independent living was great and a nice facility for that. I would recommend the independent living. The staffs are great, and the apartment is beautiful. It is a great facility for the independent living. It is close to everything, and it is in a great location.

I like The Forum, but they’re missing grounds, and also in order to live there, you have to deal with the traffic going out and coming in, so that’s a big negative. The building, the restaurant, the service, and the food were lovely. I liked everything except the location.

If I would move to a facility, the one that I would pick for myself was The Forum. I liked the dining facilities and the apartments. The staff was excellent. The dining room was beautiful. It had tablecloths, and I just liked everything about it.

My dad moved to the Forum in April. I absolutely loved it and I hope I could afford it someday, but I don’t think I will. I liked everything about it -- it’s very good and very nice. I have no complaints and neither does he. There were complaints about the food -- they’ve made a few changes and it’s gotten a little better. They offer a lot choices from which to select. They have activities, but dad doesn’t participate. There’s always entertainment during the weekend; there are also movie nights, people who will come and sing, and water aerobics. He is happy there.

The Forum is in the middle of downtown, but right on a major freeway. It's 20 stories tall. What is there is very nice and very pretty, but they're extremely small rooms. It's been there quite a few years. As far as assisted living, the amenities are not too great. The drawback is that I'm only 85, but I'm still active but I have to put my wife into assisted living, so I will have to go with her. There's absolutely nothing there for me to participate in.

My mother-in-law broke her hip and we had to move her to The Forum at Memorial Woods. They are really top of the line. The rooms are very, very clean. Everybody is always happy; we've never had a problem so far, and I hope it stays that way. I consider them a top-notch nursing home. Every day, every hour they have something going on. If it is not Bingo, they've got piano people coming in, or they have activities throughout the day constantly. That is a very good facility.

Mom will be moving to The Forum at Memorial Woods. We chose this because the area that it’s in is close to the family, and she likes the facility. So far, the staff that we have dealt with seems very nice. I ate there once and the food was fine. They have exercise, card games, and outings; they seem to have a lot of things every day.

Think highly of most features of the Forum compared to other facilities we considered in Houston, such as the high-rise design that reduces the walking required to get to the dining room, exercise and other facilities, the covered garage adjacent to the main building, the two meal per day approach and its high quality, the ability to use the grounds and facilities at the next door First Baptist Church, plus the fact we are renting and not having to "buy in" [thus being able to invest the funds from the sale of our house]. Only problem noted so far is the somewhat antiquated temperature control system, which is slowly being updated, floor by floor.
