"We toured The Reserve at Pearland. The facility was amazing. When I walked in there, the facility was clean. The residents were clean, too. They were friendly. The staff was amazing. She explained everything to me. At some point I think my dad may end up there, it is just not now. I think it's really a great place. I spoke with the director as well. I went into the kitchen, and just based on observation, everything was extremely clean. The food looked great. There were quite a few amenities, and just based on what my father's needs are, they had everything there. It's also really accessible. It's like five minutes from me, and ten minutes from my brother. Great facility. Great staff."

"My husband lives at Trinity Oaks of Pearland. I love that most of the people working there have been there for 10+ years, and there's a lot of camaraderie, and they know the residents in a way that you can't if you've just worked there a year or so. These are people with history and they're very caring. They've been super supportive of my husband as he struggles to learn his way from his apartment to the dining room and that kind of thing. I just can't think of a single thing about this community that I don't admire. They do a really great job. My husband wasn't eating real food before he moved there, only milk and snacks. I hoped that being in a group setting would encourage him to eat, and it worked. Now, he's eating more, which I find excellent. The building is older and it shows signs sometimes of buildings like that, but that's not a turnoff for me. As far as cleanliness, there's no lingering smells of either disinfectant or urine. So, as far as I'm concerned, they're doing a great job. I know on their activity schedule there's a lot going on. I've seen people watching movies, playing dominoes, playing cards, and playing bingo. But my husband doesn't participate in any of that because of his memory."

"During our tour to Brookdale Pearland, we liked that the people seemed to be very upbeat and that there were a lot of activities. They have an open door-policy, as far as rooms and things like that, so they're not isolated. It's very clean, seemed to be maintained very well, and everything looked great. They have living room spaces, libraries, and dining areas. They also have an on-staff nurse practitioner at all times."

"My friend has been in Anderson Independent Home for a year now. She is so much better since she has been over there. I'm very pleased with the care that Sharon gives her. My friend is gaining her weight back and she is looking so much better. The lady makes sure that my friend takes her medicines. I'm just very well pleased. I would really refer to Sharon that needs care because she takes good care of them. Every time I go over there, my friend is always clean. Sometimes I would call and tell Sharon that I'm on my way there, but I would never catch my friend being dirty. Also the house is immaculate. It is always clean, which says a lot. Sharon takes real good care of my friend. I'm truly impressed with her. Everybody is kind; they take care of business. She gives the residents balanced meals. When my friend was at home, she wasn't eating, but she eats now and she eats well. I would rate Anderson Independent Home a 5 because my friend is very clean and everything is neatly put away. I have been in my friend's room. She has her own TV and everything is set up really nice. Value is good, too."

"Our family cannot say enough good things about the care my brother-in-law received while in hospice at Angels Landing. From the moment he arrived, every member of the staff treated him with genuine kindness, dignity, and respect. The caregivers were not only professional but also deeply compassionate — they took the time to get to know him and made sure he was comfortable every step of the way. The facility itself is clean, peaceful, and beautifully maintained, creating a calm environment that truly felt like home. The meals were well-prepared and thoughtfully presented, and it meant so much to us that the staff paid attention to his preferences and needs. Communication with the care team was excellent — we always felt informed and included in his care. They were patient in answering our questions and provided reassurance during what could have been an incredibly difficult time. Our family is deeply grateful for the outstanding care and compassion shown by everyone at Angels Landing. They made a painful season easier through their warmth, professionalism, and heart. We will always remember the respect and comfort they provided."

"I toured The Tradition-Buffalo Speedway. I like the fact that it was newer, and it's very big. I have sampled their food, and it was good. I didn't like them. Firstly, for what I'm willing to pay, I would only have one bedroom, not two. And I would have to put everything in, where here, I have flooring and window treatments. They all seem to be very neat and clean. The staff was very cordial."

"We chose Laurel Glen at Sugar Land for my aunt because of the pricing, the number of activities they offered, and the number of residents. The rooms are good. They have an outdoor pool and an outdoor kitchen. They have a nice gazebo outside with a pond that's stocked for fishing. The rooms are very well laid out. They had plenty of areas for them to have activities or just to relax. They do weekly outings to grocery stores or just a general outings for the residents. They do weekly Wine Down Wednesdays. They had four to five things planned out every day. The staff was helpful and friendly. They are very nice to the residents and it seems they cared. Laurel Glen at Sugar Land has very low prices even without the ongoing special."

"We place my mother at Optimum Personal Care. She has been there since September. We chose it because it is well staffed. The ratio is 5-to-1. It is very clean and has no odor whatsoever. The people are very nice and seem to be fit for the kind of work that they are doing. They are very attentive to the clients. They just do an excellent job. I have never seen a place run so well. The other reason is that it is small. They have two houses and/or buildings, and I think the maximum number in the one she is in is 10. So, there is a large living room area, and then there are rooms around that area. So, if she has a need, she can just speak loudly; even though she wears a device around her neck, she will be able to get the attention that she needs. We like that rather than a large place. "

"The Village of Meyerland is a brand new community. It's clean, not overly packed, and everybody is really nice. They have nice rooms. I have my dad in a studio, but even though it is just one room you can get a lot of stuff in there. We had dinner and the food was really good. The desserts are awesome. Dad seems to like it. And he likes all of the staff that takes care of him. Everybody I have met has been extremely nice. I think it's a wonderful community. It just seems to be the right fit for us. "

"The Reserve at First Colony's assisted living was very nice. It was clean and comfortable. The apartments were quiet and nice. A little bit isolated, but they were okay. The staff who toured me was very nice and very accommodating. The dining area was nice, clean, and spacious. It was a pretty friendly environment too. They have a library and a place for exercise. They also have a really nice area for the residents to just socialize."

"I visited The Village of Southampton about six weeks ago. I liked the fact that they had three levels of care, independent living, assisted living, and memory care. It's all in one building. It's a high-rise building. They had activities for the people who live there. Everything was provided. They give you a list of activities for the whole month. Everything looked perfect. Everything was perfect. I saw an apartment, the dining room, the different rooms where they have activities, and I saw the vehicle that carries the people wherever they want to go. I talked to a couple of the residents, and they seem to be happy there. The staff who showed me around was very professional. I didn't try the food and seeing the menus, it looked very good. And they will take care of special diets."

"Com for Care Assisted Living is small, but they're more focused on the patients. My mom has been there for a week now. The staff members are great. My mom speaks Spanish mostly, and the staff speaks Spanish, which is a plus for my mom. Their food is all home-cooked. It's like a house, not like a big facility. They're limited in there. However, I'm really happy with it. They have a little patio where they can sit outside. From the back, they have a backyard, too."

"I went to look here, but I couldn't afford it. I liked that it was very clean. I like that the tenants were all very cordial and friendly. The meals were wonderful. You had a selection every day. You weren't forced to eat the same things every day. They had wonderful food. They also had a very good activity director who kept you busy doing things that you didn't have a chance to start feeling sad or sorry for yourself or the condition that you were in. The staff was wonderful. Anything that you needed done, all you had to do was tell them. They were a good community. I wish that I had been able to get in there and stay there because it also had assisted living and memory care right there on the same property, just in different buildings. So as my illness progressed, I could have moved from one to the other without a problem."

"We are at MorningStar at River Oaks. I'm very pleased with it. I'm quite happy with being here. I don't have any real complaints here. We've only been here about six weeks, so we are just getting oriented. I think the staff members are excellent. They're very attentive and well-trained. The food is very good. The building is first class. It has only been open about a year and a half, so it's top-of-the-line. In terms of activities, they have a daily program of things that we can attend. They provide quite a bit of support if you need it medically. It seems like they have a lot of attention without having to be like to have access to a pharmacy if you want. They have pretty much everything I can think of."

"We visited Tender Care Assisted Living. The guy that runs it was nice. All the tenants looked like they were being taken care of to me. I toured two of their houses and both houses were decent and clean. The guy made time for me. There's a backyard and a patio area. I didn't see any activity, but whatever the lady was cooking, it smelled good. The staff was nice. I noticed that they have maglocks on the door to where the tenants can't walk out the door. That was a plus for Tender Care right there."

"I chose here for my husband, because they had a memory care and it was an established place where people are happy. What I liked the best about it is the caregivers. They are caring, loving, and they take good care of the residents. They have good activities, but there's just not enough of them. The facilities are very nice, and they have very good food. It's also the closest one to me, and it's right by a hospital."
