"Country Place Senior Living of Athens didn't give us a tour, but we spoke with the manager. She was awesome. It was a very pleasant experience. She was very pleasant, very informative, and willing to contact another facility for us. The only thing I saw was when you enter the front doors, and there was a dining room and a waiting room. I didn't get to visit any of the living quarters. It was very welcoming, and it looked very clean to me. It was close to shopping and not too far from the hospital. We didn't get too much past the front door, but the young lady that greeted us was very welcoming."

"Sentinel Gardens Assisted Living - Canton had activities for the seniors, and I liked that, and the administrator was very involved with the residents. It was very clean. They had games for the residents, and they had community involvement where the community would bring in baskets and stuff for the residents, so that they would have gifts or prizes or things like that for the residents. I didn't actually sample anything because they were cooking, but it smelled good. They had an opening for my brother. It used to be a nursing home. It's been closed down and then reopened as an assisted living, and it has been updated to a point. They have done some amazing things to not have that feel, but it still kind of feels nursing home-like. It is known for those who are on Medicaid, so I understand that, and it's not going to be as fancy. It has a lot more availability for Medicaid beds. He would have to share a bathroom with another resident, and the rooms are smaller. I only saw one staff member besides the administrator, and she was pleasant."

"They provide excellent care! The love among everyone us here is wonderful. I am happy, and I know I’m going to be taken care of. I think April, Kathy, and Judy are among the best. They love us, and it shows. I couldn’t walk when I came here, and now I can. I know in my heart I was sent here. "

"The rooms at Country Place Senior Living of Canton - Pine were too small and none of my furniture would fit. The facility was very nice and very clean and the salesperson was very helpful. They had a workout room, a gathering place for the residents to sit around and watch TV and get together. The meals were included in the price and they had the transportation if you needed it. The staff was very nice and helpful."

"My cousin has been in the Lodge Assisted Living & Memory Care. It's absolutely beautiful. It's very clean. It's very new. It even smells new. The staff is great. You have an option of like an efficiency where your bed is in your living room, and it has a full kitchenette and a big bathroom. Or you can get a small room (around 400 square feet or a little over that) that has a small living room, a kitchenette, and then a separate bedroom. The facility is wonderful. As far as I can tell, the staff is good. But I'm not so happy with the food. I've asked my cousin, "What do you have for breakfast?" And every day it's scrambled eggs, bacon and toast, or oatmeal. I'm not really happy with the food right now and with the price that it is. Like for dinner recently my cousin had chips with chili on them, and I think for that amount of money you should have some fruit and vegetables for your dinner. Or at least I think you should have a fruit for breakfast option. So I have to go buy fruit, and fortunately my cousin has a refrigerator. She can put the fruit in her fridge because her doctor wanted her to eat more fruits and vegetables and less salt (there's a lot of salt in chili and chips). Everything else has been wonderful. I'm hoping they just get the diet fixed soon. I did get a good deal, it's about $4,500 a month in comparison to a lot of places. This facility has just opened in December, so it's brand new, and it is really nice. They have a dementia wing and then they have assisted living. In terms of activities, they don't have a whole lot yet as they're kind of getting off the ground, but they have an exercise group in the morning. It's in this really pretty open area that looks out on a little pond, so it's really nice. They have a smoking area for people that smoke, which a lot of them don't offer. And a lot of these older people have been smoking for a long time and they don't want to give it up now, so they have a smoking porch outside away from all the facilities. It's very clean and very nice. Their maintenance guy is amazing."

"I have been very impressed with Cedarview House. Each time I visit the staff is welcoming and genuine. They have provided wonderful care for my great aunt. She loves living there. Not only is the staff great, but the residents are wonderful people too. I don't have to worry about her, because I know that she is being well taken care of. She loves the food, activites, and staff. I highly reccomend Cedarview House to anyone that might be looking for an assisted living facility."

"I just wanted to express my appreciation and admiration for the Daniels family and OakWood Place. I have a parent living in OakWood for several years now. Never a complaint in all those years! The Daniels family are local and so hands on...not a corporation from somewhere else that owns the facility. I have experience with two more facilities and there is no comparison with the care, the food, the staff, the nurses and even the laundry! You wouldn't think laundry would be such an issue, but just put a loved one in a care facility and you will certainly appreciate no lost clothes! I cannot express how pleased we have been all these years and continue to be....just hope the new memory unit is ready by the time we have to have it! It looks like it will be wonderful! "My mom has been in Cedar Ridge for quite some time. She was diagnosed to have Alzheimer's disease, and it's really not easy for us her family. That's why we decided to put her in the right place where she will have special care for her condition. We loved the facility and she never had a long adjustment period. She loved to be in this place. They were very supportive and fun. The atmosphere is really friendly. According to mom, the food is really something you will look forward to and I'm really happy about that. They were very wonderful and pleasant. They really helped us so much. "

"My aunt is at Colonial Lodge Assisted Living. We chose this because of its convenience and we like the staff. My aunt's apartment is very clean and nice. "I visited this facility and the staff was friendly and welcoming! The residents seemed to be happy, well groomed, and appeared to be over all well taken care of. Housekeeping was working on floors, the air was fresh, and no odors were noticed. Nursing was very attentive. Overall I would recommend. "

"Rosehaven wanted $1,000 a month, plus a $250 deposit. The people were not very friendly and really didn't act like they wanted to assist, to be honest. Just about everybody in the entire place was a mental case, so there's a lot of very crazy people in there. The building was probably about 90 years old, so after a few minutes I told, "I can't do it, I'm out of here." It was a very pathetic and horrible place. I wouldn't live there, and there's no way I would even consider it. The guy who talked to me first was nice, then he shifted me over to the manager of that unit, and she was having trouble finding my hospital records, and they had to have those before they could admit me, and it was obvious that she didnt know what she was doing. She was eating and talking on her cellphone to people. Nobody was the right person there, nothing was happening, and I wasn't feeling anything good."
