"Meadow Creek Senior Living was good. The staff was really helpful and courteous. They provided just about everything you would expect from a good facility. The room I saw looked pretty spacious. The dining area was big, spacious, and clean. They had a library and a large courtyard that had benches where people could sit."

"Managed by a husband and wife team who only care about keeping a roof over the head of your loved one. If that is all that is important then this may be a good fit for your loved one."

"Deer Creek is the same as the facility where my brother is at. It was just a little bit for more active seniors. It still had assisted living there, but the residents were a little bit more independent. I just felt that it would be too overwhelming for him. If you are more of an active person, it would've been OK. They've got warm, dedicated staff and it felt like home. The residents seemed very happy. It was clean and it didn't have a smell to it. They only had one library area, though. They had a garden, but I can't remember if it was specifically for smokers or not. They seem to be very caring about the people. I smelled food and they were porkchops. I even wanted to stay for lunch."

"Sterling House is nice and clean and is close to where we live. It looked like the best one to fit our purposes. The staff, for the most part, seemed pretty good. Sometimes they were understaffed. My father-in-law needed assistance, and a couple of times it took a long time for them to check on him. The dining room is spacious enough, and the food looks fine to me. His room is adequate. My father-in-law doesn’t want to participate in the activities, but they have Bingo, game nights, and movies. "

"The tour was very pleasant. The lady who gave us the tour was very patient, answered questions, and was very nice. The place was very clean and very homelike. They had a garden. The outdoors was pleasant and you could be out there. The layout was good. I liked outside of each room, there was a personal space for the tenant living in there to decorate their door, and set things up outside to personalize their room."

"Mayberry Gardens, Grand Prairie is very nice. My mom stayed there. The only complaint that my stepdad had was that they didn't feed them enough, he thought. If he had said anything, they would have given them seconds. My mom was there for three months because she had fallen really, really badly. I like the homey feel of it. It looked like a house, and there was a kitchen in it where people who worked there cooked three meals a day for them. There was a library and a common area with a TV and a couch. It looked like it was a big version of a regular home. Everybody ate at a table together right outside of the kitchen and stuff like that. They gave them their medication, and they had a medication room. They had crafts, games, puzzles, and stuff like that. The rooms were on each side of the building. They had like five or six houses on the property. They had a building for memory care. Everybody was nice. It was very clean. It was a very nice environment, but it had a little bit of odor to it."

"My mom has been a resident of Sterling House since January, 2013 and needs extensive care every day. Her needs have been met beyond what I expected. The staff cares for her with gentle loving care and have a real compassion for meeting her needs. My mom is 92 years old and I have no concerns that she is not given good care. The entire staff, from the director on down, is very compassionate. The room and the entire facility is kept very clean and any repairs required are promptly dealt with. I am so delighted that someone recommended Sterling House for a new home for my mom "

"We toured Tender Care Home for Adults. It turns out that this was a group home and not independent living. It was an interesting experience. They were not motor-wheelchair friendly, which is what my mother uses. It's a house that's converted into a facility. The hallways were narrow because the house was built in the 1950s. It was not what my mom and grandma needed. The bedrooms are really small. The staff who assisted me was very kind, but it took a while for her to understand what our needs were, and when she finally figured it out, she was like, 'Oh yeah, this wasn't going to work for you all.'"

"I toured Bethesda Gardens Assisted Living, Arlington. It's very clean, very orderly, very friendly, and inviting. The staff was very thorough and very professional. I was very pleased with her. We checked the dining area. Everything looked very appetizing and well-presented. They've got art. They've got movies. They have a library. They occasionally do outings. There's just lots of stuff to do and people to interact with."

"I toured Belmont Village Turtle Creek. I wasn't impressed with the room or the apartment, but everything else seemed perfect. The place is nice, clean, and roomy. They had a lot of active folks around there. I met quite a few of them. They had meeting rooms where they had classes. They have social events, and a cafeteria, and the food looks great. "We toured Brookdale Pecan Park. It was real nice. They took time with us and asked questions about mom's situation. They seemed to be helpful with giving us knowledge to try to pick a right place for her. They had a sample menu, so we looked at that. It seemed to be good. The room seemed to be real nice. It was a smaller environment and had secured doorways. It all seemed to be nice."
