"I went to Country Lane Seniors. They have different types of activities. They're very clean. I like the cleanliness of the place and the food is very good. And, you do have your own place to decorate yourself. They have a pool. They have a path where you can walk your pet if you have a pet dog or cat. I like it. The staff made me feel very welcome like I was at home. They were very nice, sweet people. The facility is very clean and very tidy."

"I liked the looks of the floor plans that they gave me at Primrose Cedar Hill. I only met one staff member, but she was very nice. They had a swimming pool, an exercise room, and reading facilities. There really wasn't anything they didn't have that I would be interested in. They were well-equipped. I liked the layout of the apartments, and it was very accessible from the parking area. "

"I toured the Villas of Lancaster. I like the way the community looked. It was clean and just looked quiet. I like the upkeep of it and everything. I didn't get to visit one of the apartments. They didn't have anything for me to look at, but the property and everything looked well-kept. All I did was fill out an application. He didn't give me a whole lot of information. I just left my information out with him. I just looked at the property and it looked good to me."

"I went to The Luxe at Cedar Hill to visit a friend. She was staying in the single home in the back. It was nice. I liked it. I saw a two bedroom two bath. Their bathroom and main bedroom are what I'm looking for, something that is accessible, especially for my husband. It had a garage and it was spacious enough. I liked it but I know I'm not going to be able to afford one of those. The kitchen was also spacious enough. I liked the area and the floor plan my friend had. I didn't experience any of the staff but what I got from her was they were good."

"I visited The Arbors On Wintergreen and the tour was great. The person who gave me the tour, was very informative and kind. It's the one that I could afford, first and foremost, and it was nice and clean, and in a quiet area. They didn't go into depth. They just showed me the two-bedroom that I was requesting. They told me several different things that were going on if I had moved into the community, recreations, and things like that. The one that they showed me was hardwood floors. It was nice, with large closets, and it was spacious enough for me."

"I moved into The Bridgemoor at Desoto. The people are very friendly, and I have my own individual space. I feel safe here because it's gated. It's a little individual, like bungalows, sort of like a duplex. It's a hallway, and then it's two in the front and two in the back. The only appliances I had to have were a washer and a dryer. They furnished the stove, refrigerator, and microwave. You do your own thing, but they have activities, which I like. I haven't been to any, but they said they have a sewing class and line dances. They have card games, a yard sale, a choir comes in and sings, and all kinds of stuff. They're very friendly and helpful, and this one little old man who would mount my TVs and everything seemed so busy. So, I just found somebody on my own to do it. But they seem very helpful, and then they pick up the trash three days a week. All we have to do is take it to the front of our building. They come by and pick it up. We have fire sprinklers and fire alarms here. They came by and inspected the fire sprinklers today. I wanted a one-bedroom, but they didn't have any one-bedroom at the time. I would have to wait a month, and my stress level could not take seeing where I was for an extra month. So, I have a two-bedroom, and I pay $1625."

"Hickory Manor Senior Apartments was picturesque. The staff was very nice, very knowledgeable, and told me they had lots of activities. They had a recreational hall and a swimming pool."

"My father has a room reserved at Odd Fellow and Rebekah Retirement Center. It's very clean and very updated. They have very friendly people. It has a library, a church, a beauty shop and a barber shop, and a very nice big dining area. It's just a really nice place. It has a country setting and he really enjoyed it."

"I liked Champions Cove a lot. The lady that took me on the tour was nice, and she followed up with me later on. She told me that she had a place that she'd loved for me to come to look at that was available, but I had already chosen a place by that time. The rooms were spacious and the atmosphere was wonderful. The residents there were very friendly. I met a few that were engaged in some gaming and they invited me over and I chatted with them. It was nice. They have a lot to offer. They have a gym, they have exercise classes, they play cards and they have movie nights. They have a lot going on on their property. The only thing I did not like about it is the enclosed quarters -- you enter your apartment from the inside, instead of from the outside. Other than that, I love the complex. They had a salon there, they had a bank inside of there, they had everything in that complex."

"My mom stayed Primrose Park before for four or five years. They had a nice environment and nice people altogether. It's a very nice place to live in. They had food brought in there and they get a box of groceries every month. That's good for senior citizens to have especially to some having a fixed income. The reason my mom left this facility is because she went to live with her daughter. The activities they have there are playing dominoes, cards and they exercise. I don't know of anything they should improve on and I would recommend this facility to others. "

"Mariposa at Westchester is new and well landscaped. There's special parking for you. They only had one opening at that time, but we were not ready to move. It was very comfortable though. The staff was very friendly and very nice. We felt very good to be a part of that. It was actually closer to our son if we wanted to be nearby. They have an exercise room, a group meeting room, and a movie room, and the amenities are available. They also have an elevator, which is important for us, because my wife has mobility problems. She has an electric car she can drive to the elevator to get down."

"I toured The Villages of DALLAS for my father-in-law. It was a very nice facility, and the people seem to be very, very nice. The rooms are old, and they look horrible. It's like the worst hotel you could ever stay in. It was really nice, just that the rooms were small. It seemed closed in, and they weren't very attractive at all. The independent living side was like little, teeny, and tiny. Of course, it was the least expensive; of course, you get what you pay for. I was disappointed in that. The person who took me on the tour was a very lovely lady. She was very excited to see me, and she showed me three different units on the independent living side. I was torn between which one I would even consider, but the rooms looked awful. The dining area looked lovely. She says everyone gets to order food off the menu. I didn't get to see the menu, but it looked really, really nice. They have a beautiful movie room and an activity room. Everything looked very lovely; it is just the rooms themselves looked horrible. They made sure to take our temperature, sanitize our hands, and we signed in. It was a very secure place. They had an indoor pool, which I think would be better suited for older people, especially people that need assistance."

"The staff is the greatest they have been so much help when it comes to My uncle. They didnt have to go the extra mile but they did. And not once but a few times. Thank you Staff. Thank you very much! If we only had this kind of staffing greatness everywhere life would be grand. "
