"I went to Atria Canyon Creek. I was very impressed. I liked the spaciousness, the fact that all the seniors were actively involved in activities, and the friendliness of the staff, especially Patty, who showed me around. They had a pet deposit. Patty was knowledgeable and excellent. They are mid-priced. I think she said they had 22 hours of activities a week. I saw seniors actively involved in several, but I was only there a couple of hours, so they were going and coming to different events. I saw the theater, the salon, the exercise room, and I saw a recreation room with active seniors involved in there, as well as the cafeteria and the main room."

"I toured The Reserve at North Dallas. The apartments were very new, with huge closets and big rooms. The kitchen was very nice with some granite countertops. They had some good choices of food. And if you didn't like what they were serving, they had other food available for you that you could get, kind of what they always have. The outside was nice. The places, community rooms, and community spaces looked nice, along with all the activities they provided, and there were lots of choices. The staff who gave the tour was very nice, had lots of great information, was very friendly, and took the time. The residents were nice. Some of them were sharing their stories and what they liked about them. So, that was good too."

"I toured the Alexis Estates Gracious Retirement Living. I liked it. It was nice, but it just didn't have very much to do. They don't have the cooking facility. They have the hot plate, and I wasn't interested in that. The staff was very hospitable and very accommodating. They invited me to dinner. They came out to the house where I was staying with my daughter and son-in-law, and brought me a gift as a thank you for coming to view their facility. The facility is beautiful, and they've only been open a few months."

"The Tradition - Lovers Lane is very positive and excellent. I visited both the independent and assisted living. The food was good, the atmosphere in the dining room was excellent, and my impression of the staff was very positive. Shopping is convenient and there's a large grocery store across the street that has a bank and a pharmacy. There's also other commercial shopping less than five-minutes away."

"We're very happy with Edgemere. It's very clean. The people are pleasant. They take good care of us. The meals are good. Maintenance and housekeeping are all good. They have a Bible study that we go to. They have a lot. We do movies and stuff. It's worth the money."

"I liked Belmont Village a lot, and I had a great first impression. Everything about them is great. The rooms were about like most but bigger. It's the most expensive and the highest quality of the ones we've looked at. My mom has eaten there twice, and she loved it. The location is in an elite part of town. There were a lot of people in the common areas, and I saw a lot of people at dinner; they were having some kind of community meeting while I was there. "

"Briarview is a very nice place. The people who spoke to me were great. It seemed very upscale and active. The rooms were a little small but nice."

"Marquis Rockwall seems like a very upbeat facility. The staff and everybody that I met was very, very nice, too. Another thing I liked about that location was they have a restaurant that was available should you want to eat at the restaurant. The facility is nice, but it didn't feel as homely, but even though it is off the beaten path, it's still close to restaurants, shopping, and stuff like that, so it's not too far out."

"We put a deposit down at Alders Rockwall. It's very clean, and it's a new development. They have about twenty-five residents in there right now because it's brand new. It has only been open like three weeks. It's just a nice place, and it is sort of hidden. It's not open where there's a lot of noise, and my wife likes that. The staff was really nice. My wife cooks, but they have continental breakfast down there during the week. They had coffee and snacks, and it was good. They have a heated pool, a spa, and a miniature-golf putting course. The outside is really nice. They have a media room, a game room, a library, a parlor for women to get their hair done, and a nail salon. They also have an art room for people who like creative arts."

"I moved to Evergreen at Rockwall. I like the area. I like Rockwall. I was on the waiting list, and they were the ones to call me first, so I was glad about that. They have a lot of activities for the residents, and I'm looking forward to starting that. I just moved in a couple of days ago. They have a nice swimming pool. They have a nice garden. The yard is very well-kept. Everything's clean. My apartment was impeccable. Joy was very helpful, very kind, very professional, and very knowledgeable. All my questions were answered with no hesitation. So, the process was very good. There wasn't a lot of waiting around for answers and things like that. Their charges are good."

"I've chosen the Gala at Fate for my parents. They're doing pretty good. It's an apartment for 55 and up. The staff was pretty darn good. Alyssa, in particular, was great. She's helped us a lot through the process. It's all brand new, so it's beautiful. It's not finished yet, and it seems to be taking a while. That's my only complaint. They haven't finished the laundry rooms, they haven't finished the salon, and they haven't finished the walking paths. There's stuff that needs to be finished. This place is based on income."
