"My mother was there twice about a year apart due to hospitalization just get her strength back. Mom is now 92 and has not been back for over a year. The staff and activities were great. Mom especially liked getting her nails and hair done each week. The PT staff were awesome. The helped her learn to change her own underwear with the help of a grabber device. Being there gave her a much greater quality of life than she had before. She really enjoyed her stay there. It was much better than the rehab she was previously in in Mesquite. They gave her no help. "

"The one that we looked at was Founders Plaza. First of all, when I walked in, I liked the place. I really liked the way it was very welcoming and clean. I could tell that I would probably use this place because (of) the way that I felt when I walked in and welcomed by the staff. The rooms were in good size for me. I just felt good about the place. They took me around looking at the rooms, and they took me to a little cafeteria place where they go and eat. They took us to the exercise room. I was ready to just go there, but it did not happen. It was like a very good place. It gave me a very warm feeling. "

"My mom is at Pleasant Valley Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center, and it's been very good. They're very professional, the place is clean, and the people are very caring. She's in skilled nursing and has a clean, big room. They come in and check on her. It's just been a good experience. The food has been good, and she's been eating in her room. The staff is very caring, passionate, and very professional and takes care of her very well."

"My father is in the Advanced Health & Rehab Center of Garland. The facility is really good and he is very happy there. The dinners are good. It's a good place, and I like it. It's wonderful. The administration was very good and very helpful. They never gave me the runaround. The staff is very helpful. He's doing rehab, and I felt comfortable with him being there. They have church service and he likes it. Even the cleaning crew there is phenomenal. I don't have anything negative to say about this facility. I would recommend someone there for their parents because I'm very satisfied with the facility and my father is also."

"My friend is at Ridgecrest Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center. They provide rehab, medication, housing, laundry, food, and care. Their staff seems pretty friendly. They are attentive. I've been there, and he's been sitting with a nurse to keep him talking and engaged a little bit so he gets comfortable with his surroundings. The living accommodations are satisfactory. Whenever I've gone there, the floor is clean. There's nothing just hanging around and nobody just loitering around. Everybody's busy doing something on their way to care for a patient and/or transferring a patient to and from either the meal hall or therapy."

"I went to Senior Care Beltline. Parking was bad. It was warm and family-friendly there, but the place is small. I can't see myself and my whole family sitting in there when they visit. The staff members were pretty friendly. The building didn't have any funny smell to it. It was nice and clean. Everything looked in order."

"The nursing staff is very good, patient, and helpful. The therapists are friendly, caring,and thorough. The facility is clean and cheerful. There are daily activities offered to the residents, a daily newsletter, prayers, and games. Very well balanced meals with plenty of good food. Fruit snacks offered twice daily also. "

"The care that my husband receives at Cheyenne Medical Lodge has been good. I'm very impressed with it. They provide him with physical therapy and occupational therapy and he has improved since he's been there. The food has been pretty good, too."

"Garnet Hill is a beautiful facility. The outer structure of the building is gorgeous. When you enter there is a piano and a bird habitat that makes you feel at home. The cafeteria is big and has planned meal times and a menu, making it feel like a restaurant. There are monthly resident activities scheduled and daily events! My one complaint would be cleanliness. I feel they should scrub the toilets better and change the resident's diapers more often. I do believe my grandfather is enjoying is time there and that makes me happy. "

"Winters Park is about 10 minutes east of Dallas. It's a large suburb and a good location--a nice community with schools and churches. They're also an assisted living facility next door owned by the same people. They offer skilled nursing, rehab, and long-term care here. It's a brand new facility. Lovely. The rooms--some private, most shared--are very attractive. The staff when I was there last was well trained, attentive, and caring. But the director of nursing left, and care seemed to fall off. The food is good; the activities are okay--probably a 4 on a 4-5 scale. "

"Garland Nursing and Rehab has a wonderful memory unit and rehab team. Their administrator has years of experience; seems she cares greatly for the residents. No smell in the home and residents are always at activities. "
