"Briarcliff Health Center is right across the street from where I work. What I like most about this facility is that it was very active, and I know the reputation of the place well, so I'm very comfortable with it. The staff is familiar to me so I have confidence in them. The facility itself was very good. It's modern. It's new. They have great facility for any activities. The facility was clean. Like I said, it's a Joint Commission accredited hospital, so I know that it meets a lot of regular authority requirements as far as safety, security, and cleanliness. "

"She is in Greenville Health & Rehabilitation Center. The therapists are excellent, have really been working with her, are helping her with her knees and legs, and have made wonderful progress with her. The staff is caring. I've been really impressed with everyone out there. She plays bingo and enjoys it, they have church services, and there are people who come in and sing. They have activities every day. They have hairstylists who come out on Wednesdays and they do nails one day a week. They're constantly trying to do something and they offer lots of stuff all the time. The activities director is really good. They serve three meals a day. She says some days the food is really good, and some days it's not her favorite. They are always on top of keeping things clean and they make sure the patients are clean."

"We chose Oak Manor of Commerce Nursing & Rehabilitation for my mother-in-law because it took her insurance. It's really close to her family. It's a nice place, and it's clean and everything. She has only been there for several weeks now. My primary consideration is that she is happy and satisfied, and she appears to be. Food is OK. We haven't really talked about it much, but I guess she's happy overall. They play bingo, and they get together and watch movies and things like that. The facility is nice."

"I visited Hinton and I was very impressed with the place. I think that’s probably where I will place my mother when she needs to go to a nursing home. I spoke with the owner and everybody seemed really nice. The place was really clean. They also have assisted living apartment units, a nursing home, and a group home. I talked to the lady who gave me information on what I need to do to help my mother become eligible for Medicaid. "

"We are residents of Lexington Medical Lodge. They're super good here. The nurses and the aides are good. It's gorgeous, and everything is kept neat and clean. I would recommend this place to anybody. They have a great physical therapy unit here. It's a big room. My husband and I are in the same nursing home, so we're together. The closets could be bigger, but other than that, they're nice. The dining room is nice, but I'm not a fan of their food. They have something new every day. They do bingo, they do cards, they do cookouts up here, and they do a little bit of everything."

"My mom has been at Royse City Health and Rehab for about 2 years now...I absolutely love this facility...My mom first went there with the beginning stages of dementia...She is now in the final stages...The entire staff is so caring and helpful..I have never had a problem being updated on her care by her nurses..They go above and beyond regarding the care for the residents... This facility is very clean and updated. .The financial office has always been there for me to make sure her Medicaid is up to date and helps me if any problems arise..She is now going through the final stages with Hospice there and I can honestly say this facility has given my mother the best care and I am so thankful for them."

"My husband was at Sulphur Springs Health and Rehabilitation and hopefully, he'll be going back there. The only problem I have there is I don't think their doctor visits enough. They have a nurse practitioner come, but the doctor who is in charge of everything only comes once every 3 months. As always, you may have 1 or 2 staff members who aren't suited for the job. But overall, the people who work there and the administration have been wonderful. They've been great. The people at the rehab place were great. I would say 97% of them are caring. They are attentive to their patients' needs and they try very hard. Even cranky people, try very hard and are usually very successful at their job. Institutionalized food is never the best. But they try to meet my husband's needs. And I think nutritionally, they could maybe benefit from more fresh food and maybe not so much overcooked food. But overall, they do a pretty good job. The building is older. The first thing I noticed when I walked in was I didn't smell any urine or smells that would make me think they don't do a very good job cleaning. Everything is clean. They do have housekeeping coming around. They're almost always visible. The grounds are nice, with lots of grass and it's pretty secure. I do see that they have activities there and they have a calendar of activities. I do see that they try to engage their residents. They've been very kind to me and very helpful to my husband. I would recommend them."

" I stayed in this facility for 3 weeks. The room was spaciousness with a lovely view. Housekeeping came in daily to clean it, floors, bathroom, bedding and surfaces. This facility does not have the smell or atmosphere of a nursing home. My daughter chose this place for me. She said she went to all the facilities in the area and turned around and walked out without further inspection. Highland Meadows was the only one she toured and was impressed with the atmosphere. The doctor and his assistant are amazing, gentle, with the very best bedside manner I've ever encountered. They studied my case and history and made physicians orders that met my special needs and they kept me out of pain so I could heal. Except for two days, they visited me every day for 20 days to monitor my progress and made certain the nurses were following their physicians orders. The nurses were kind and helpful. There are specialty nurses for certain needs such as wound care. Everyone had a cheerful attitude. The personal care staff were very knowledgeable and attentive and there was no one I didn't like. I had one incident that caused an issue when there was a delay in the nurse call button being answered in a timely manner. The issue was addressed by the supervisor. They are generous with the food, and they receive visitors with open arms. I truly felt like everyone had my best interest at heart. The therapies are excellent and one weekend PT told me he works full time at another facility and fills in at several other nursing facilities and none of them even come close to being as good as this place. Highland Meadows tries very hard to provide a safe, pleasant place to heal. "

"They never answer the phone when you call to check on your love one and never get a call back when you leave a message. If you want your love one to get descent care I would not recommend this nursing home. Never get a call back and always get hung up on when you call to check on your love one and they are always putting other patients clothes on my spouse when he has his own clean clothes in his closet that has his names marked in his own clothes. They don't take the time to read the names in the clothes to make sure they are putting the right clothes on your love one body. They need to take time to read the names in the clothes before they dress the patients."
