"We toured the Village on the Park Stonebridge Ranch. It is very clean and modern, smelled good, and there weren't any odors. The room was nice. My wife liked the respite room that they showed us. The staff was great. She was very informative and very attentive to my wife and made her feel welcome. They showed us the meal list and everything, but we didn't eat. I think they were about to do some more remodeling. So it's nice. They showed us the little courtyard there."

"Stonefield Assisted Living & Memory Care was the one I really liked. It was the layout of the facility, only having 54 rooms there, basically- the level of care that they're receiving, and the amount of staff they had were all top level. I happened to be there during lunch, and everything looked really good. The ladies who were there were very happy. I had talked to a group that was playing cards, and I came right out and asked them how they enjoyed living here, and they just raved about everything. That was the best review I could get from three ladies that were in there. Emily was just very friendly. As I did my tour around there, I don't remember any of their names, but I was introduced to a half dozen people who were very polite, very nice to me, and it just seemed like a first-class place. I replied that back to her in my email that I believe it's five-star. I've raved about it to a few friends. If I were 10 years older, I might go into a place like that. I came home and told my wife, if something happens to me 10, 12 years from now, you really need to look at a place like this because I think she would thrive in a place like that. But we're in our late 60s, early 70s right now; we're not quite there. We're still very active. But it's definitely opened my eyes to possibilities in the future. I toured two different rooms, and I thought they were excellent. They were very, very nice, much nicer than I thought they would be. Everything was top-notch; the seating, the furniture, and they had a courtyard that was gorgeous with flowers and atriums. It was beautiful."

"Mom was at Colonial Oaks at Campbell Park for a temporary stay. She was there just for nine days. It was really nice. It was very clean and very nicely kept. It had the kitchen and all the amenities. It had a beauty shop and a movie theater. They offer a lot of different services for the seniors there. They took good care of my mother while she was there. It's assisted living, but she had her own room with nice floors, a nice bathroom, a bed, a TV, and her own refrigerator. They offer church services, and they have singing. They offer three meals a day, and family members can come, like my family members came and went to check on her while she was there. They take you back and forth to doctor's appointments. They had a little space on the outside of her room, which is secure, where you can't get out, and they can walk in the courtyard. They have access to the various areas, like the kitchen and the dining room, if you want to come out of your room and sit and play cards or meet and visit with people. The staff was very, very good. Crystal is one of the nurses there. She was really good and very attentive with my mom. They made sure my mom got everything she needed and the medicines that she had to take. They were very, very nice to her and I was very, very pleased with them. They have maintenance service, dry cleaning service, housekeeping, and laundry service. They have medication and healthcare services. They have oxygen equipment. They have security keys and fire safety. They have storm and tornado preparations. They have television, telephone, and internet services, and transportation shuttles. For what you're getting, it's comparable to what all the other facilities in that vicinity charge."

"My mother recently moved to Glorious as she can no longer live independently. The name is perfect — it is glorious! She has her own furniture and immediately felt right at home. The caregiving is excellent and the spotless home is located in a quiet neighborhood. Killo has been very responsive and attentive to my mother’s needs. A home health nurse told me this home is one of the best she’s seen. I was blessed to find such a wonderful place for my mom. It brings me peace to know my mother is receiving such outstanding care. "I liked Twin Rivers. It was small and intimate, and it was well-kept. I only met the salesperson. I didn't meet the nursing staff there. They had a salon, a gym, and they had physical therapy available. They also had social activities for their residents."

"Silvermark has become an extension of our family, and most importantly, my Mom is happy there. The owners and management are on site and available. Every single employee, including the executive director and the owners, truly cares for the residents and are involved on a personal level. One of the owners, reads to my Mom. They allow me, and encourage me to bring my dog in to visit. My Mom loves the food and it is clean and bright. It does not smell of industrial pine cleaner, like so many places I looked at."

"We came from Brooklyn, New York, and my sister was in an assisted living here in Long Island, and we wanted to find something that was comparable to the care that she had over there and Village on the Park McKinney fits the bill. Also, it got very high reviews. She has a beautiful bedroom, a beautiful living room, and a bathroom. She doesn't have a kitchen because she doesn't cook. My sister likes the food. They have a lot of things going but my sister is just not able to do anything. The staff is wonderful. They're very caring, very attentive, and they're very into what you have to say, like the care that you want for your family or friend. The facilities are immaculate. It's going to be expensive but it's worth it because if you pay for better care, the better off you are. That's how I look at it."

"Brookdale Stonebridge Ranch wasn't my first choice, but I like it. It wasn't as nice as some of the other places, just because it's an older community. It's just dated, but everything it had to offer was reasonable. They had a good price and people there were good. The staff was accommodating, the person who showed me around was good and the nurse in-charge of the memory care was helpful. Probably the most helpful was getting to talk to a resident who had been there for 12 years. Their rooms were a little small, and I prefer rooms that have a separate living area. The room that I saw there was all confined, it was too much like a nursing home or hospital room and not a home environment. But everything was clean, we just could do better."

"We toured The Ivy of McKinney for my mother, and I liked all of it, but we just can't afford it. It seems like a great community. Everybody cares about each other. It seems like it was a great adult community. That's what it was like for me. They were eating during our tour, and they all seemed excited to go eat. The rooms were on the older side, but it was nothing bad. The place was very clean. It just seemed like an older community compared to the other facility I had gone to. They had a beauty shop, dining, and a theater. They had games, and they have like a social bar or something like that, like evening cocktails. They also have an elevator. They offer rides to all the local restaurants and Dairy Queen and that kind of stuff. The staff were very friendly. It's homey."
