"Gracious Care Home - Allen, a residential assisted living, was a nice place. The only thing is that I don't know if they would have been able to handle my mother with her Dementia and all the requirements that she would have needed in that kind of environment. It was just a four-bedroom house, but it was very nice. I just don't think they had the equipment or the staff to deal with her condition. She's immobile, she can't walk, and she's bedridden. The medication, the fact that she can't walk, and with her dementia, I just don't know if they would have been able to deal with all that. She would have required more attention than I think they would have been able to provide. I think for assisted living or for someone who can still maintain, and just has memory problems, it would be perfect. My mom required more one-on-one attention because, although she can't walk, she's forgotten she can't walk, so someone has to watch her all the time, since she might fall and have a very high risk of falling. The staff was very nice to me. They introduced me to a couple of the people who were there, and they were also very nice. They have standard-sized bedrooms, and you can provide your own bed, which is nice. They probably need to improve accessibility. Since they're a home, it's not necessarily designed for the handicapped."

"If I could give Teresa House 15 stars, I would. I don’t believe there is a better facility in the Dallas area to care for your loved one. My mom has dementia and was not getting the care she needed at an Asst. Living facility. My sister and I visited numerous facilities and from day one, we knew Teresa House was different. TH celebrates the life your loved ones have left and helps them enjoy every day. They have activities catered to memory care patients seven days a week. The meals are a sweet time for each house to come together (and the food is delicious). The facilities are beautiful, yet the homes feel like a home and not an industrial facility. They take impeccable care of the lawns and landscape and thought through every detail of comfortable porches and walking paths. But what sets Teresa House apart from the rest is their staff. My mom’s house has the most loving and kind ladies helping her. Fancy and Gabi are two that have been there since my mom’s first day. It was hard moving my mom but watching Fancy love on her and Gabi care for her as if she were her own mom, helps me relax and know she is in the right place. And quite frankly, my mom is with it enough that she would let us know if she was not happy (and boy would she let us know). Instead, she tells us how much she likes where she lives and is always asking us “how do I thank them for helping me”? Thank you Godwin and Teresa for creating such an incredible and unique place for loved ones to live."

"Brookdale Collin Oaks had everything we needed. It's a good facility, even though it's old. It is neat and clean. The staff are courteous. They have a common area and a restaurant-style kitchen. The staff member was a very nice guy. They have a grill outside and a cookout area where residents can hang around."

"My sister and I went to Sunrise of Plano. It was beautiful. It was very nice and very spacious. They have a lot of areas, like a hair salon and a place to watch movies, so it's very nice. The people were very nice, but not a lot of them speak Spanish. The common areas were very nice, spacious, and clean."

"We toured the Village on the Park Stonebridge Ranch. It is very clean and modern, smelled good, and there weren't any odors. The room was nice. My wife liked the respite room that they showed us. The staff was great. She was very informative and very attentive to my wife and made her feel welcome. They showed us the meal list and everything, but we didn't eat. I think they were about to do some more remodeling. So it's nice. They showed us the little courtyard there."

"The administrator- Andrea is so capable, caring and a wonderful leader for her staff. She will do what needs to be done if a problem comes up - even if she needs to do it herself! "

"I am going to move to Lynridge Assisted Living next month. It was only 10 years old and it's nice. Everything was well kept up. They had an enclosed interior courtyard and it looked like a very pleasant place to live. The 1-bedroom apartment was too small, and I had to get a 2-bedroom apartment just to be able to get in there. It had a full-scale refrigerator and a sink, but you don't cook there because they provide you with 3 meals a day. They had all sorts of entertainment there. They had a very nice dining room and they served me a very good meal."

"Mom was at Colonial Oaks at Campbell Park for a temporary stay. She was there just for nine days. It was really nice. It was very clean and very nicely kept. It had the kitchen and all the amenities. It had a beauty shop and a movie theater. They offer a lot of different services for the seniors there. They took good care of my mother while she was there. It's assisted living, but she had her own room with nice floors, a nice bathroom, a bed, a TV, and her own refrigerator. They offer church services, and they have singing. They offer three meals a day, and family members can come, like my family members came and went to check on her while she was there. They take you back and forth to doctor's appointments. They had a little space on the outside of her room, which is secure, where you can't get out, and they can walk in the courtyard. They have access to the various areas, like the kitchen and the dining room, if you want to come out of your room and sit and play cards or meet and visit with people. The staff was very, very good. Crystal is one of the nurses there. She was really good and very attentive with my mom. They made sure my mom got everything she needed and the medicines that she had to take. They were very, very nice to her and I was very, very pleased with them. They have maintenance service, dry cleaning service, housekeeping, and laundry service. They have medication and healthcare services. They have oxygen equipment. They have security keys and fire safety. They have storm and tornado preparations. They have television, telephone, and internet services, and transportation shuttles. For what you're getting, it's comparable to what all the other facilities in that vicinity charge."

"My mother recently moved to Glorious as she can no longer live independently. The name is perfect — it is glorious! She has her own furniture and immediately felt right at home. The caregiving is excellent and the spotless home is located in a quiet neighborhood. Killo has been very responsive and attentive to my mother’s needs. A home health nurse told me this home is one of the best she’s seen. I was blessed to find such a wonderful place for my mom. It brings me peace to know my mother is receiving such outstanding care. "I liked Twin Rivers. It was small and intimate, and it was well-kept. I only met the salesperson. I didn't meet the nursing staff there. They had a salon, a gym, and they had physical therapy available. They also had social activities for their residents."

"Silvermark has become an extension of our family, and most importantly, my Mom is happy there. The owners and management are on site and available. Every single employee, including the executive director and the owners, truly cares for the residents and are involved on a personal level. One of the owners, reads to my Mom. They allow me, and encourage me to bring my dog in to visit. My Mom loves the food and it is clean and bright. It does not smell of industrial pine cleaner, like so many places I looked at."

"We came from Brooklyn, New York, and my sister was in an assisted living here in Long Island, and we wanted to find something that was comparable to the care that she had over there and Village on the Park McKinney fits the bill. Also, it got very high reviews. She has a beautiful bedroom, a beautiful living room, and a bathroom. She doesn't have a kitchen because she doesn't cook. My sister likes the food. They have a lot of things going but my sister is just not able to do anything. The staff is wonderful. They're very caring, very attentive, and they're very into what you have to say, like the care that you want for your family or friend. The facilities are immaculate. It's going to be expensive but it's worth it because if you pay for better care, the better off you are. That's how I look at it."

"My mother moved into Brookdale Stonebridge Ranch a few weeks ago. The location is good for me and it's nice. The food was excellent. For activities, they have movies, bingo and they do exercises. The rooms are adequate and it is a friendly environment."
