"I had my grandfather set to move in to Parc Place, but he passed away. I was pleased with the facility and everything they had to offer. The unit that they were going to move him into had a washer and dryer in it. It was close to the dining facility, and it had everything that he needed. "

"I toured Edgemere. They had a lot of amenities. The indoor pool was nice. The rooms were nice, too. However, the closet space was too small. They had a library and an entertainment space. The cleanliness was excellent."

"I liked Heritage Place Independent Living. It was nice, clean, and updated, and they have a washing machine available that you can use, and you don't have to go out. They do laundry, but it's $50 a month if they do your clothes, and they do your towels and sheets free. They clean your apartment once a month. I liked the lady director who took me around. She was very personable. The food was good, and there was nothing I disliked about it. The staff was good, especially the lady that we took the tour with and the people that we met in the dining room. They were all personable. It smelled good. I didn't see anything out of order in the places that I went."

"I like living here at The Remington at Valley Ranch. I like the people. They're very friendly and helpful. It's a nice place to live. Everybody is helpful, nice and friendly. The meals are very good, I only have breakfast and lunch or dinner, and they are very good. I am very pleased and satisfied with it. I had housekeeping today, and everything looks nice and clean like I expected it to be. I just came in from outside and I sat by the poolside and it was just wonderful and lovely weather. I go to chair aerobics. I go to exercise every morning. They have it six days a week, and they have the pool. We can go swimming in there anytime we want to. When the weather is nice, we can walk outside around the buildings. We have physical therapy if we needed. I go to that too sometimes two times a week. Value for money is very good."

"It was a really nice facility. The rooms were very nice with lots of windows, very handy to everything. It had washers and driers right next door. The food was absolutely excellent and served all day. They had nurses who were on-call 24-hours a day. They had people there to do your therapy. They had exercise. There was a lot of good things there. "

"Churchill Estates was elegant, and I loved it. I enjoyed the staff very much because they were very nice and absolutely charming. There was excellent food and lots of camaraderie. I was very comfortable there. "

"I toured The Reserve at North Dallas. The apartments were very new, with huge closets and big rooms. The kitchen was very nice with some granite countertops. They had some good choices of food. And if you didn't like what they were serving, they had other food available for you that you could get, kind of what they always have. The outside was nice. The places, community rooms, and community spaces looked nice, along with all the activities they provided, and there were lots of choices. The staff who gave the tour was very nice, had lots of great information, was very friendly, and took the time. The residents were nice. Some of them were sharing their stories and what they liked about them. So, that was good too."

"I have toured The Spring at Silverton. What they offered was nice. It was very well cared for. It was very clean. The staff were very friendly. They seemed very concerned about helping to find my husband and me a spot. I was very pleased with their manner and their hospitality. When I went there, I did not see any of the residents doing activities. I was able to see a couple that allowed us to enter their apartment to view the floorplans and all that. They had a swimming pool, a library, and a computer room."

"I went and toured Brookdale Club Hill. It was very nice. There were a lot of activities for seniors. The place was extremely clean and very well kept. I hope that I live in a place like that when I get old enough to move to a place like that. I would definitely recommend it. It was well laid out. The rooms were nice and open. They had nice, large decks in the room I was in. The rooms were decent sized, especially the master bedroom. The dining facility was very nice. The pottery, arts and craft, and game rooms were well put together. The staff who toured us around was extremely knowledgeable. She did a fantastic job of explaining everything. She had all the answers as far as trying to get me help with DD214 and what avenues I could go down to try to obtain that help. The tour was excellent."

"Briarview was a beautiful community. It was probably my dad's top choice. The rooms were good. They have a carpet, which I guess some people like. But when there's a fall risk, it doesn't seem to make the most sense. It seemed like the social aspect of the place was definitely a priority for them. They have independent living cottages. Their activities that they do with their residents seem like a notch above the other places that we had seen. It was very organized and structured. It was just so expensive."

"The bedrooms at Emerson at Rosemeade Park were just too small. The community was nice and clean and everybody working there was very engaging. The only problem we found was the bedrooms were too tiny for the furniture that my sibling needed to put into the apartment. Other than that, the place was beautiful. It was very well kept up. The dining area was very clean and it seemed that the people are very engaging."

"I liked the looks of the floor plans that they gave me at Primrose Cedar Hill. I only met one staff member, but she was very nice. They had a swimming pool, an exercise room, and reading facilities. There really wasn't anything they didn't have that I would be interested in. They were well-equipped. I liked the layout of the apartments, and it was very accessible from the parking area. "

"I went to The Luxe at Cedar Hill. I liked it. It felt like family. They were very professional. The community was very clean and very nice. The activities for the residents were very good. They have different activities, probably twice a day for the residents. They have a resident hall where they gather for a happy hour. They have food there. They bought in horderves and drinks, cookies, cakes, and stuff for the residents to kind of sit around and mingle. They had a little DJ there, and he sang some songs. It was really nice."

"Champions Cove has true independent living. You could have a stove and a refrigerator in your apartment. They have a bus for the people in the community. They take them to Tom Thumb, Walmart, and Kroger's on certain days, and they take you to your doctor's appointments. It costs a little more, but it's worth it. The staff was very nice and informative. They're very respectful of the people that live there."
