"I toured The Retreat Senior Living. It was a very nice place. The staff was very nice. The rooms that I saw were roomy and spacious. They had an outdoor heated swimming pool, and the courtyard was just gorgeous."

"My mother-in-law, now 91, lived at Parkwood IL for over a year. She loved her apartment, the residents, the staff, the ability to sit outside and enjoy the courtyard environment, relished the entertainment, and was quite content with the food variety and preparation of meals. As a widow over 30 years who was becoming increasingly isolated, the socialization with the friendly residents was paramount. Had it not been for dementia and cancer, she would still be there today!"

"Lived in a patio home for 4 years and enjoyed every minute of it. The home was spacious and comfortable. Full kitchen, laundry room, separate dining room. Large 2 bed 2 bath with HUGE CLOSETS, large living room, and a lovely front porch with a small front yard. Large enough for my flower pots. yard art, and Christmas decorations. The staff run by Nancy is Excellent as is Jenelle the concierge, Hector the chef, every staff member was dedicated, kind and knowledgeable.. they organized and ran so o o many fun programs everyday. Thank you all for your dedication in helping Senior live their better lives."

"This is a great place. Everyone is very friendly. I say it starts with management who encourage and are so welcoming. From my first meeting with Peggy and then Megan meeting with us to show my Dad around, we were sold. All of the staff do a great job. My Dad felt like it was his new home. Unfortunately, due to health issues, he had to move to a different community. He says his goal is to get strong enough to return to Eden Estates."

"It had all three levels of care, but I visited the independent living. They told me that it was only built five years ago. It was good, but the rooms were probably average. I saw the dining area. They had three meals a day and there was a snack area where you could pick up snacks any time of the day. For the size of the facility, the dining area seemed to be small, but they told me that if you would go for independent living, you can eat in the assisted living dining room as well. I met one staff member, and she was friendly. She knew what she was talking about. It looked like an apartment building. It's four stories. It seemed to be clean."

"Brookdale North Richland Hills was beautiful. The staff was very knowledgeable. They gave me a lot of different avenues to try to get my mom taken care of and get someone out to assess her. They're still checking on me because my mom is in an inpatient rehab facility, so they're just waiting. It's a large community and they had lots of activities to keep them busy like exercises and stuff. It's amazing."

"Atria Hometown in NRH has been an amazing partner to our family as Mom prepared to move into her senior apartment. She knew that Atria was the place where she would move when the day came that she would leave her house, but was not prepared to do so when a life-changing health event occurred in late June. Mary at Atria was with us every step of the way as we prepared to move Mom in by early August. The apartment is beautiful. The services are thoughtfully organized. The people are kind and helpful. What a wonderful place to live!"

"I scheduled a tour with StoneCreek of North Richland Hills and was greeted by the gal who does the tours. My first impression was they have skylights everywhere. It's very open and very light. All the other facilities I've been did not have any natural light. StoneCreek of North Richland Hills has real high ceilings with natural light and the rooms are all surrounding the open area. They have a big open space and a dog park there. We bring our dogs pretty much everywhere with us so when my husband is going to be there, he'd like to see the dogs. He can't keep a dog there in the memory care, but I can bring them and sit outside. That impressed me. They have a $500 deposit that's refundable. It just puts you on the list and there is not a commitment. If they come to my name and my husband is not ready, they just go to the next person on the list. The community is very nice. I think it's fairly new because I remember watching it being built."

"I went to look at Morada Cedar Hill. The thing that I like best is that they have independent living and assisted living facilities on campus. The facility was very clean. It's kept up very well. They have a lot of activities. They offer three meals a day. They have a movie night. They take them shopping and offer transportation for their residents. They also have housekeeping services. The person who I talked to seemed to be very knowledgeable and pleasant."

"My parents are residents of Morada Meadow Lakes, and I liked everything about it. They get two meals daily, six days a week, and one on Sundays. It's a lively facility. They do exercises. They have plans for them to do something every day, and they take them to the stores. The staff is good. They come and clean the apartment, wash some of the linens, and if my parents can't make it down for lunch they take it to their room. They play bingo. They have movie and poker nights. They've got puzzles, pool tables, and an exercise room."

"We had a productive visit with staff while touring assisted living facilities in the area for our Mother. The staff is very kind and knowledgeable. The rooms are clean and spacious. We especially like the covered front and back patio space. Overall, it is very nice senior living facility!"

"My brother moved to Solstice Senior Living at Grapevine. We chose it because of its proximity to where I live and I was very impressed with the place and its upkeep. It was spotless. They have lots of activities. My brother's in a wheelchair and they are elevator accessible. They have physical therapy on-site. Everybody seems very caring and very nice. My brother said the food was delicious. He needed to socialize more and I thought it was a great place. They do ice cream socials, they do bingo, they have people come in and help teach them to use their smartphones or computers, they have a library, different activities, and a happy hour. They are meticulous about keeping the place spotless. It's very comfortable. It's very nice and it was very affordable for me. I didn't think I would be able to put my brother somewhere like this, so it worked out well."

"I liked Heritage Place Independent Living. It was nice, clean, and updated, and they have a washing machine available that you can use, and you don't have to go out. They do laundry, but it's $50 a month if they do your clothes, and they do your towels and sheets free. They clean your apartment once a month. I liked the lady director who took me around. She was very personable. The food was good, and there was nothing I disliked about it. The staff was good, especially the lady that we took the tour with and the people that we met in the dining room. They were all personable. It smelled good. I didn't see anything out of order in the places that I went."
