"This is a great place. Everyone is very friendly. I say it starts with management who encourage and are so welcoming. From my first meeting with Peggy and then Megan meeting with us to show my Dad around, we were sold. All of the staff do a great job. My Dad felt like it was his new home. Unfortunately, due to health issues, he had to move to a different community. He says his goal is to get strong enough to return to Eden Estates."

"It had all three levels of care, but I visited the independent living. They told me that it was only built five years ago. It was good, but the rooms were probably average. I saw the dining area. They had three meals a day and there was a snack area where you could pick up snacks any time of the day. For the size of the facility, the dining area seemed to be small, but they told me that if you would go for independent living, you can eat in the assisted living dining room as well. I met one staff member, and she was friendly. She knew what she was talking about. It looked like an apartment building. It's four stories. It seemed to be clean."

"Brookdale North Richland Hills was beautiful. The staff was very knowledgeable. They gave me a lot of different avenues to try to get my mom taken care of and get someone out to assess her. They're still checking on me because my mom is in an inpatient rehab facility, so they're just waiting. It's a large community and they had lots of activities to keep them busy like exercises and stuff. It's amazing."

"My brother moved to Solstice Senior Living at Grapevine. We chose it because of its proximity to where I live and I was very impressed with the place and its upkeep. It was spotless. They have lots of activities. My brother's in a wheelchair and they are elevator accessible. They have physical therapy on-site. Everybody seems very caring and very nice. My brother said the food was delicious. He needed to socialize more and I thought it was a great place. They do ice cream socials, they do bingo, they have people come in and help teach them to use their smartphones or computers, they have a library, different activities, and a happy hour. They are meticulous about keeping the place spotless. It's very comfortable. It's very nice and it was very affordable for me. I didn't think I would be able to put my brother somewhere like this, so it worked out well."

"Heritage Place Independent Living was a beautiful place. The dining room was really pretty, but the one-bedroom was too small for me. The two-bedroom was beautiful, but pricey. Cleanliness and upkeep were excellent. The food was delicious. The staff was very friendly. It's very nice, but it was too expensive for me."

"I toured The Spring at Silverton. It was a nice community, but I'm on disability, and my income is not enough to get me in there. The staff who gave the tour were very friendly and helpful. The food was okay, and the rooms and common areas were nice."

"I'm a resident at The Remington at Valley Ranch. It's clean. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Their work attitude is very good. The reason I've given the food a four instead of a five is the variety. They do housekeeping every other week here, and they do a very good job. They offer card games, other games, music, and entertainment. Compared to other communities, I think the prices are very good."

"We're very happy with Edgemere. It's very clean. The people are pleasant. They take good care of us. The meals are good. Maintenance and housekeeping are all good. They have a Bible study that we go to. They have a lot. We do movies and stuff. It's worth the money."

"Lakeview at Josey Ranch was extremely comfortable. It was built there with the senior residents in mind. All the furniture in the foyer when you entered was comfortable. The staff was on duty 24-hours a day, which was wonderful. We had a large lake behind it. As far as the scenery and everything, it was wonderful. It was right close to a couple of pharmacies and the location was wonderful. It was a nice place. They had five elevators. It was a larger place. The staff is almost perfect. They had people answering the phone and some of them were more conscious than others. They would leave the phone sometimes, but overall it was excellent service. The manager was very nice and conscientious of the needs of the residents. The maintenance people were on top of it. The food was excellent. They had three different meals prepared for just that day. You had different things you could order from the left side or the right side of the menu. Every Sunday they had a buffet style. They had about 12 of the stainless steel covered items lined up for you to get things from the buffet. The food was always very delicious. They had people serving you like a restaurant. They had tablecloths on the tables. They had ice cream for dessert. The common areas were very comfortable. We could go and visit each other. The mailboxes were to the left of the dining hall. They have the little humps in the door that your scooter or your walker could have trouble getting over. The activities were not very often. Other than entertaining, you could go play games and things if you wanted to. I did exercise four times a week and did yoga four times a week, and I loved that. It's worth it, for the value, for the staff, the facility itself, and the comfort. When you walk in the building you get a comfortable feeling."
