"My husband and I have lived in this great community for almost 2 years. We have never regretted moving here. We love our patio home and the neighbors we have. Parc Place offers so many activities to choose from. Our activity director makes living here fun, even our exercise class. The chefs prepare delicious meals. What makes Parc Place stand out over other communities, is the friendly and kind residents and the fantastic staff. We are one family here."

"As a frequent visitor of a resident of Parkwood Independent living, I would like to recommend this facility to anyone who is looking for the best senior living accommodations! The staff are professional and caring. The kitchen/dining area and community rooms are clean and well maintained. Resident apartments are spacious, well designed, and provide a patio, as well as storage availability. The beautiful green space is a definite plus! Pets are welcome, too! My friend is involved with several optional activities, e.g., puzzle playing, mahjong, bean bag boarding, Bible study, library, hair/nail salon, and planned special events. A spacious van is professionally driven for necessary and outings. Overall, happy staff and residents! Food provided is top notch! When I am in need of a living arrangement such as this, I would be blessed to live at Parkwood Independent Living in Bedford, Texas."

"It had all three levels of care, but I visited the independent living. They told me that it was only built five years ago. It was good, but the rooms were probably average. I saw the dining area. They had three meals a day and there was a snack area where you could pick up snacks any time of the day. For the size of the facility, the dining area seemed to be small, but they told me that if you would go for independent living, you can eat in the assisted living dining room as well. I met one staff member, and she was friendly. She knew what she was talking about. It looked like an apartment building. It's four stories. It seemed to be clean."

"My father has moved into Brookdale North Richland Hills. Overall, the facility is wonderful and the people are very pleasant and seemed very caring, but very hands-off. I haven't found them to be as assisting with helping us get him acclimated. We have to be a lot more involved than we thought we would. I'm just a little disappointed that I thought that there would be more of a help with the transition and that really hasn't happened. He has a one-bedroom, a wonderful walk-in closet with lots of space, a living room, a kitchenette, and a bathroom. Everybody is really nice, from the residents to the staff, very friendly, but very hands-off. He loves the food, and he is eating well and enjoying his meals. They have an exercise class every morning and regularly scheduled activities every single day, but I wish they have more choices for men. Pricing is fair."

"We went to StoneCreek of North Richland Hills. It's a very nice place. They've got all kind of amenities. However, we're in a 2,000 square-foot house and we're going to have to jam all of our stuff into an 800-square-foot apartment type thing. We've got our house as crowded as it is, so there is no way in the world that you could jam that much in there. We looked at an apartment. It was wheelchair accessible, because that's what I'm in, and that was suitable. They had workout rooms where you could use machines to keep your strength up. They had libraries, which were very well-stocked. They had a dining facility that they had the chefs at. There were restaurant-style food servings. They had a lot of entertainment, like bingo and stuff like that. It was a nice place, but we're just going to stay where we are. Nevertheless, the staff member who gave the tour is top of the line. I like her a lot. She's very personable and very caring. The building itself was sparkling clean, too."

"Atria Grapevine is very receptive, caring, and has a lot of activities. So, the tour overall was very, very good. We got to go pretty much everywhere in the whole facility. It was very bright and very, very sunny. There were some nice gardens outside and courtyard areas. The residents seemed to be enjoying themselves. I saw them involved in activities. That kind of gives you an idea of what the place is. The residents were having happy hour when we got there. We saw activity in both levels, the assisted and memory. They were about to start playing the game, and so that was nice to see. A chef prepared us a luncheon and we got to eat in a private dining room. This is after we'd already done some of the tours. We came back into the dining room and had a delightful lunch. It was really good. I also asked a resident about the food and she said it was pretty good. So that's really important at that age."

"I did a tour of Solstice Senior Living at Grapevine. They were very friendly and very courteous. The guy walked me around and showed me the sample apartment. It was very nice. I told him I had just started looking around. The location was well, but the place itself was not set with any pool or gardens or anything. It was just an apartment place. What I would miss is having trees and bushes, and it didn't have that, but the home itself is very nice. That was a lovely place, but the property it's set on, there are just certain boxes that weren't checked for me. They catered to the seniors. It was very obvious that they were taking care of the seniors there. The staff were very friendly. They gave me a chicken pot pie when I left as a thank you for the tour, for stopping in and seeing us. That particular food was very good, but I didn't actually sit down and have dinner there. They got a new manager in there and he pointed out things to me. I was impressed. He's very proud of it and very eager to show off what a nice place it was. He sent me home with a packet and any questions I had, he was very helpful in answering my questions for me. There was a beauty parlor, an exercise room, a library, and all food service. This particular place gave you service for every meal. They had activities throughout the day, and every day of the week was something different. They had transportation available for you, for doctor's appointments and shopping. It was just very lovely in that respect."

"My visit to Meadow Lakes was absolutely phenomenal. I loved it. I just wanna make sure that's the place to be for my dad, and he's gonna take anyway, but that's where I would like him to be. I've had another, maybe one or two more, that I'd like to look at before we make a decision. It was great and awesome. I give them a five as being the best. The staff was great. They didn't invite me for dinner and that's fine, but they got to take us on a tour. They were really willing to help in any way possible and they were very pleasant. It was a good visit. It was great, everything was nice, clean, and very presentable professionally."

"Our children chose The Conservatory for us. They convinced us to look, and we like it a lot. It is like a resort. Part of the reason we like it so well is because the staff is nice, helpful, and friendly. We have an apartment. It is a downsize from living in a house, but it is a two-bedroom apartment, and it's going to be all right. Two meals a day are provided, and the food is excellent. They have activities like fitness classes and crochet. "

"I toured Pinewood Hills. What I liked most was that they had a beautiful small yard on the first floor. They had a very good-sized bedroom with a bathroom. It was very nice. The only thing I did not like was that they did not offer a kitchen. There's barely room for a microwave. There was no stove or oven. I did not like that, but it seemed very friendly, clean, and nice. The staff who gave the tour was wonderful. She was very good and energetic. However, they need to lower their cost. And they have three meals a day."

"Lakeview at Josey Ranch was a beautiful facility. They have an excellent food, a pool, and a lot of activities. They just don't have assisted living and memory care, and I didn't want to go into a facility where if I needed skilled living, I would have to completely move to another facility that I'm not familiar with. I love the fireplaces that they have in the hallway though, and the nice overstuffed chairs that you could sit on and maybe read. They give residents a GPS or something when they want to go for a walk around the paths that are outside. That way if something were to happen, they would know right where they are; I thought that was good. The staff was wonderful and very informative while taking you around to several different types of apartments, and they're the only ones I know that had a three-bedroom apartment in addition to one and two-bedrooms. They had several people from the staff who came and talked about what services they offer, and they all have beauty shops and barber shops and things like that. The staff really did a good job."

"Emerson at Rosemeade Park was awesome. It used to be the Corinthians, and we had looked at it before for my father-in-law, and so I really liked it. People had dogs, and my cousin likes dogs, and the room we're looking at opened out to a courtyard. They had buses that would take my cousin to Walmart. Once a week, they'd go out to dinner. They provided the three meals, and it was close to where I live. It was seven to ten minutes max to get there on a busy day. The facility was great. We saw a lady that was 103. The people looked happy. They took my cousin out to meet some people that were out smoking to get acquainted and they were by far not your older, older people that were in wheelchairs or anything like that. We also saw a group later on as we were getting ready to leave, one of them could have been my grandmother or mother, and she was praying and four others were singing hymns. We really liked the atmosphere there. They were having a luau and we were invited to come, but my cousin wasn't interested because it was just really hot. They had activities. They would have doctors come. It was beautiful on the inside. The person during the tour was terrific. She had a sense of humor. I liked the room we saw because it was on the bottom floor and it had a patio where you could put two chairs or something, and all of the people let their dogs run. My cousin was happy about that, but her memory just wouldn't do it. Independent living is all there is. There's no move-up place to go. They would have to leave or have extra care brought in. Their dining plan wasn't real strict. You could go in anytime you wanted. It was served like restaurant style. They'd give you a menu and you would choose from it. They had a salad bar always. They had a library, a TV room, and an area where they did chair basketball. They had an activity room. They offered a lot, like they would have something weekly or monthly. They had media rooms that had movie nights and stuff like that. I really liked it. They didn't have the beauty shop or anything like that, but that's easily fixed."

"The lady at Briarview was very nice and all my questions were answered. She even had her help services person get in touch with me about my other questions, so it has been thorough. The place was new and didn't have many clients yet, which is a good and bad thing. The rooms are apartment-type. "
