"I visited Parc Place in Bedford. It was very nice, but it didn't suit my needs. It didn't have meals, and I didn't care that much for the location. The apartments that they showed me were very nice. It's a very well-kept facility, but they had no balconies, and some of the rooms were inside rooms without even a window. It just didn't fit my needs. It has a very nice staff, though, and the person who gave us the tour was very nice and knowledgeable. The building was very well done."

"Brookdale Eden Estates was my favorite; I really liked it. Everybody was very nice. Their apartment was the biggest one that I looked at. I really liked it because it had a full working kitchen and it was the only one that had that, which was good. The dining area was very nice, and the outdoor area was very nice too. The community seemed very active. It was a younger crowd than all the others, and they seemed very active, which was very nice. The place was clean and well maintained."

"Atria Grapevine was very nice and clean. I think they're excellent. However, it's a lot more expensive. Nevertheless, the rooms there seemed nice. Unlike the other facility, they did seem to have more help and more activities. They even have crafts room for their residents. My mom and I went for a lunch and then a tour and the food was really good. The chef came out and introduced himself, which was nice. "

"It had all three levels of care, but I visited the independent living. They told me that it was only built five years ago. It was good, but the rooms were probably average. I saw the dining area. They had three meals a day and there was a snack area where you could pick up snacks any time of the day. For the size of the facility, the dining area seemed to be small, but they told me that if you would go for independent living, you can eat in the assisted living dining room as well. I met one staff member, and she was friendly. She knew what she was talking about. It looked like an apartment building. It's four stories. It seemed to be clean."

"We visited the independent living section, although they also have assisted living. Their large 1-bedroom apartment is nice, but the 2-bedroom is small. The place is very well-maintained, and their staff is very excellent, friendly, and personable. They have amenities like a fitness center, they also have shuttles that run every day to grocery stores or to take the seniors on excursions, to see musicals or the theater. They really do a lot of things all the time there. I liked everything about them except for the size of the 2-bedroom apartment. The people that I saw looked very content and happy where they were."

"I toured Pinewood Hills. I liked the three meals a day, but parking is going to be the worst. Kathleen answered all my questions about laundry. They have bingo, there's cards, and a workout room. They have a library and a movie room. They gave me a menu of what is available, and if you don't want something, you can always get something else, which is good. They showed me a large efficiency room they're keeping for me until Monday. It's fully furnished, but they don't have a stove or an oven, you get a refrigerator and a counter."

"I came today for a tour and they had a drive thru event where I received lasagna, salad, bread stick and tiramisu. The tiramisu was amazing , like heaven, The Chef Monte did an amazing job. Jordan toured me and I loved the apartment he showed. It had lots of storage and great windows for my mom - she likes lots of light. I will bring my mother back asap to pick out her apartment before the holidays!"

"First of all, I love this place, and the people are great. I've lost a lot of weight before coming here. I can't believe how every mile is wonderful. I feel so blessed to have found this. You go to your room at night and feel so blessed to be with such wonderful people. We played games and we became friends quickly with people easily. You won't be sorry to be here with such wonderful people."

"The Remington at Valley Ranch is a five because of the way they deal with us. They're very personal. They address our needs when we let them know what we need. We've been here five years, and I have never been disappointed. If I go to them with special needs, they will come back and take care of it as soon as they can. The food is very varied. It's not always the same thing. It's not always the same salad. It's not always the same entree. It's not always the same vegetables. It's something that's very important for older people like I am. I don't want to have to look at the same kind of meals every day. The upkeep is excellent. They have maids here that keep this place clean. They will come in, and if they see needs that are beyond what they do every time, they come back and they make it right. It's very, very clean. The halls are clean. The bathrooms are always very clean. We get a calendar once a month, probably with 30 activities that you can do. You will be busy if you are involved in all the activities from singing to doing crafts to playing cards. You name it, you can do it here and if you choose not to do it, that's your choice. We looked around and we decided the best value for our money is right here and I am not going anywhere. We have good parking facilities. I cannot find a place as good as this for the money that I spend. This is a good location for shopping. This is a good location for being close to my family because my family is from this part of Dallas."

"I'm currently in Lake Forest Village, and it's very nice here. I'm in a cottage, and I happen to be in one that's a duplex, so I have a lady on one side of me. I have a two-bedroom with one bath, and it has storage and a nice kitchen. It's just a nice size. Then the other ones are twin homes. They're still more like a duplex, but they're a little bit bigger, and they have more yard. There are nice walkways in the lake, the food's good, and they have lots of activities. I don't eat there all the time; I still cook a lot. Now we've opened again, but when I moved in we were still under a pandemic, so nobody was doing anything. They sent little packets to us."

"I went to Emerson at Rosemeade Park yesterday. The staff was very friendly. I got to see all the open common areas, we went and looked at one of the apartments, and they're actually pretty spacious. They've got a lot of activities that they scheduled. They served three meals a day, so that's pretty good. The one downside that I can see for my parents is that there's not a pool onsite. That was something that they were really hoping for. The staff member was great. She was very, very knowledgeablem, everybody she walked past, she knew them, and everybody was friendly and said hi all the way through. And so it was good. They have a small refrigerator/freezer, apartment size, and they've got a microwave and a sink. I asked, and you're allowed to bring a hot plate or something like that, a coffee maker if you want one, but they don't have full kitchens."

"Lakeview at Josey Ranch is a very nice place. We like it a lot. The staff is fabulous, and food is is outstanding. They also have all the great activities. The apartment we looked at was 1-bedroom, which was very nicely appointed. It had a full kitchen, which was very nice too. Lakeview at Josey Ranch is independent living. You can get outside services to come in and they'll help you do that. However, we thought my sister needed another step-up in care. Otherwise, she probably would have gone to this place."

"The lady at Briarview was very nice and all my questions were answered. She even had her help services person get in touch with me about my other questions, so it has been thorough. The place was new and didn't have many clients yet, which is a good and bad thing. The rooms are apartment-type. "

"I'm a current resident. It was a good move. I chose this facility because they fit my needs and also because of their care. The staff would go out to help us. They have lots of games and lots of exercise program. They also would take us out to eat and take us out to places."
