"We have chosen Iris Memory Care for my uncle because they specialize in Alzheimer's and dementia. They have been attentive to his needs and follow all Covid regulations. He seems to be very happy there. He enjoys the food. He is eating and he is actually gaining weight. They have various activities, too. The thing that I like is that they encourage him to come out of his room and participate. The facility is very clean and the rooms are nice sized."

"I toured Signature Pointe. They have very nice and courteous employees there. The people that live there are very nice and friendly. The whole environment looked very clean and very nice. The apartments were nice and clean. They had a lot of space. They always had something going on which was good. I enjoyed that. They have a nice lake outside. You can see the ducks and all that, so it's very, very nice."

"The care that was given our Mother, Helen, was more than we could have ever expected. Our thanks to the doctor's assistant, nursing staff, assistant nurses and especially the speech therapist. Mother was released after a weeks' stay at Harris HEB, where no explanation was given to us except that she had broken her pelvis and pulled a muscle in her left leg. Your staff immediately started diagnosis and the wonderful speech therapist ordered a swallowing test that showed she was not swallowing and all meds were going into her lungs. The social worker put us in touch with Heart to Heart Hospice that worked with getting Mother comfortable for the first time in a week and half. Mother passed 2 days later. We found the facility to be clean with a pleasant odor, which after visiting 8 rehabs was very surprising. There were sufficient staff members who were the most wonderful, caring people and the nursing supervisor's love for her job was evident. We have told our friends that we were so pleased and would highly recommend Emeral Hills. We followed Mother's wishes to the end even with her services that she had written out. We miss Mother terribly even though she was 91 years old. We are content that her passing was peaceful due to the care received at Emerald Hills. Thank you. "

"My husband is in a nursing home called Glenview Wellness and Rehabilitation. I'm very pleased with the nursing staff there. The people are very, very friendly. I haven't gotten as much from the front office as I would like or had as much communication with them, but the nursing staff, as far as I'm concerned, can't be beaten. They're very caring, very attentive, and so watchful. If there's anything going on, they're right there on top of it, and when someone calls for help, they're right there. I just can't say enough about the nursing staff now. I've been there as early as 6:30 in the morning and stayed till as late as about 8:00 at night. I think they come on at 11 and they're there till 7 or so the next morning. My daughter met the nurse that's in my husband's unit one time, and she was impressed with him. We've got excellent care. The rooms are large. The facility itself could use an update, but it's an older building. It's also a little bit hard to get in and out of. There's plenty of parking, but a lot of it is away from the front door. I have to walk with a walker, but usually, I get to park up front because I'm there early enough. I can do without some of the bells and whistles on the building; it's the care that my husband gets that concerns me. The furniture and everything are adequate; I haven't had any problem. I'm pleased with the value for money. My husband has got a lot of problems and he needs a lot of help. Like he needs help eating, and they're right there on top of that. They're very alert to the needs of the patients. My husband is getting physical therapy, and there's a speech therapist that comes in. She comes in at the lunch hour and observes what problems we're having. They have activities. There was a couple who came in with the music. There's a lady there, and they were playing a card game, and they were painting one day. They have an activity committee. They're also very strict about people coming in with their masks. They take their temperature, and I think once a week, they test the patients for COVID. When my husband left the hospital, he had a very bad diaper rash, and the first time that this young nurse had to change him, she said, 'Oh, my,' and she went out of the room and came back with some cream. She started taking care of him and she had that cleared up in two or three days. They watched him, and I'm satisfied with the care. The facility is clean. The cleaning people do an excellent job. For an older building, it's kept very well. The food is excellent. I haven't eaten it, but my husband is eating well. He is eating better there than he did at home."

"If it wasn't for Green Valley, my husband and I would not be able to spend his last weeks/months with him in TX. The staff went WAY out of their way to help us get him moved from KS to TX and into their facility. They have an amazing staff who treated our family as if it was their own. We are forever greatful! I don't agree with these poor reviews, they are fantastic! "

"I have been using this facility for my brother respite for the past few years. He is a 100% disabled vet in a wheelchair but is able to transfer from chair to bed and chair to commode. He likes the facility as the room he is assigned allows him to transfer into/out of bed and use the restroom without assistance. He likes the staff and the food. He spend 10 days in November, 18 and we noticed that the facility could use some cleanup and the staff were not as responsive as in the past. It appears that the management needs to do a review of current staffing and procedures to bring the facility back up to the standards of a few years ago. My brother has been going to various nursing home facilities in the DFW area for the past 20+ years and at one time Bishop Davies was he best, but now it needs improvement. We hope this will be taken as a corrective review. "

"I chose this facility for my mom after a friend of mine stayed for rehab. The building may be older but we have been very pleased with the care. The rehab team has worked extra hard with my mom to build her strength and all of the ladies in the offices have been so helpful in answering our medical questions. They accept Medicaid here so she will be staying. This place is ran very well and I'm glad we made this move. "

"Best: Friendly and capable staff.Worst: Old, rather drab building. The facility appears to have been built about 50 years or so ago. It's very clean but doesn't smell of antiseptic or alcohol as such places so often do.The rooms are small and sometimes there are two residents to a room. The closets aren't big enough for that. The drawers in the built in chest tend to stick. It has a mirror above that's almost shoulder height to me. The bathroom mirror is also mounted quite high up so there isn't a mirror my mom can use from her wheelchair. The facility is easy to find, a church up on the corner with the main street makes an excellent landmark and is the only other thing on King's Court. It's only two minutes to I-820. Turn the other way and downtown Fort Worth is a straight shot at about 15 minutes.Mom has had no complaints with staff but says the food could use improvement. The normal resident diet seems to be heavy on canned and packaged food products rather than produce and fresh meat. Corndogs and other fast food type fare is common on weekends. Through the week the food is classic American; meatloaf, stews and such. Mom is a diabetic and complains that the jello isn't sugar free. She recently told me that a change in the kitchen has improved the food greatly.Since mom has some trouble operating her cell phone, I often have to call her on the back desk phone. This phone is available to reach residents who don't have or can't use telephones. It is often unanswered or answered by residents. However, every time the phone is answered I have been able to reach my mom. She's happy there and has made some good friends including members of staff. They've been very good to her there including shopping for her when she needs something between family visits. The staff certainly seem knowledgable and capable. They're also efficient about taking care of her. Medication is correct and on time and when a trip to the doctor is scheduled they get her there and back without excessive waiting.Overall, Richland Hills is a safe and reasonably comfortable place for mom to live on her budget and get the care she needs as well. "I was not happy with Hurst Plaza Nursing & Rehab. My husband got pneumonia while he was there. I didn't like it. I don't think they had enough help, but they were doing the best they could. He had no activities at all. They had a room that had windows in it, and there was a whole bunch of people with memory problems looking out those windows. It was an older building, and the value was way too high for what the VA provided. The people I worked with were nice."

"Trying to navigate the Medicaid system to care for my mom was difficult and confusing until I met Mellissa with North Point Nursing. Melissa proved to be an expert in her field and handled everything to ease the pain. I won’t forget the genuine concern and assistance she provided to my family. Thank you Melissa! We also toured the facility and found the staff to be inviting, warm and caring. Thank you all again!"

"My dad was at Heartland for rehab and he did his therapy there. It's a nice place. He was at a private room, but when he first took him in, they put him in with another person. The nurses and the aides I love them. They are wonderful. They took care of him and they treated him like a person not like a sick somebody and we really appreciate that. "

"This facility truly cares about their patients and families. My grandmother is very happy here and constantly raving about the activities they have for their residents to participate in. The ONLY complaint I hear now is about the food. But it honestly doesn't matter who made the food she thinks it's too salty. Understand she says that about my food as well. However recently she has been given less choices. She previously was allowed to select a burger or grilled cheese after dinner But those choices are no longer allowed now. I do want to mention her nurses and caregivers. They are amazing and she loves all of them and I'm grateful for the care and love they give to her. Most importantly she is HAPPY here. And honestly that's all I really care about. "

"I think most rooms are single. All that I could see, other than my own, were ones with open doors. They were all, with out exception, very lovely and personal. Since I was there for physical therapy, I didn't get to participate in anything ambulatory. I know we had church services, gospel sing-a-longs, and professional entertainment. There was something going on daily for various groups. I really enjoyed the food. Home style. My last day there, we had ham, cabbage, sweet potatoes, and cornbread. What could better. The staff were amazing. I got a great cut and style from Pam. The nurses and CNA's were very attentive and working long hours, as are medical professionals world-wide. Linda was very sympathetic and kind. I have to save space for my wonderful therapist, Janus and Briana. You guys are the best! "
