"Cambridge Court was very nice, but it was too expensive for my father and they said that he would have to have Medicare because it was out of his reach. We only went into the main area. The lady was very helpful and very nice and the place was very well kept and very clean. Everyone seemed to be very happy there and well taken care of. "

"I thought The Forum at Park Lane was very attractive and very comfortable. They have a lot of excellent activities. The staff was exceptional, and the place was classy without being overly done. "

"The atmosphere at Whiterock Court was really positive. The rooms were kind of small, though. They're remodeling the new ones, and they're less than 300 square feet. The location was a little bit South. The dining area looked good and smelled good. I got there around noon, so they were serving lunch. I kind of got to see how they serve it. The studio apartment was way too small, but the whole place was clean, and all the staff members were very friendly and very explanatory on where everything was. I found parking easily, which was just for future residents. It was easy to get out of my car and walk to the office."

"We toured. I think what my husband liked most about it was that it was covered and had much more secure parking for the vehicle. The possibility of their two bedrooms was very nice. We did appreciate that more, and it had a kitchen, which we may need if these places can't give us food that my husband can eat. It was very nice. Everything looks good inside and outside. The staff was very helpful."

"Morada Lake Arlington was a very nice community. It was very nice and clean, and the rooms were nice and spacious. We just could not afford it at this time. They furnished you with two meals. They had an arts and crafts room and an exercise room. They had meals set out showing you what they had there and they all looked very good. The staff were very friendly and answered all our questions. They showed us all the rooms that they had and I was very happy with their presentation. They let us decide what we want and just answered our questions. I was very impressed."

"Churchill Estates at Lake Highlands was fantastic. Stacey toured me everywhere, and she even got me into units that were already occupied so I could see the layout. They're number 1 on my list. I have no doubt that it would be excellent. Next door, they have the memory care and assisted living -- single story -- so they're a full service. "

"It was a very new facility. I was impressed with the layout of the facility as well as its general appearance although I did not feel that I fit in very well there. It was not anything specific. It was just that there weren’t many people within my own age group. They all seemed much older than me, and it was simply difficult to relate. However, the staff was extremely courteous. Even though I was just visiting, they did very well at attending to whatever needs I happened to have because I spent the lunch hour there with them. The largest amenity that I noticed was the open area where everyone could congregate. The dining area was adjacent to the lobby, and it was immaculate."

"This review is specifically regarding employee, Ms. Tijuana M. My father is a resident at The Waterford and is so grateful for Ms. Tijuana. She is so very patient, & above and beyond helpful. Dad was a business owner and has friends all over the state and said, she would be person I would have hired. And I like that I have made a new friend. Thank you, Ms. Tijuana, for being so wonderfully kind to our Dad - you are greatly appreciated!"

"I moved to the independent living community of The Bentley in Dallas. Everything is very clean. The staff is friendly and made me feel welcome. The food is good, and the dining area is nice. They have plenty of activities that you could go to. I go to their bingo, and they also have movies. They have TV nights like last Thursday, where we got together and watched a football game and had popcorn. I don't have any complaints."

"It was OK and looked clean. The rooms and apartments were average. The staff was friendly and attentive. The residents looked happy. "

"I went to look at Arlington Plaza. It was so hard to get to because my GPS took me to the street that was torn up, and there was a big truck, so I had to detour to get to the street. It took me forever to find it, and I didn't have a number to call. I kept on driving until my GPS finally figured out another way. And when I finally got to the other end of the street, it was all torn up too. It is a total mess over there right now. This would probably not be a good time to send people over there. But it was a nice little place. The people were nice. It smelled good, and that's always an important thing for me. The staff was nice. From where I walked in, I saw a little seating area. The staff said they do art classes there. The facility was clean. There was a little filling station and a convenience store on the little road that went up to it. It's kind of by the lake and in a subdivision."

"I thought the independent living community of The Reserve at North Dallas was nice, if you like the idea of living in a high-end hotel. It's like a 4-star hotel. Some people wouldn't like that, but I thought it was good. The staff members who assisted us were really good. I remember looking at the place and thinking that it was much nicer than the other place we visited, and that the prices were better. We had a meal there, too, but the food wasn't anything special. For its location, this place is probably as good as you were going to get, price-wise, in Dallas."
