"It was a very new facility. I was impressed with the layout of the facility as well as its general appearance although I did not feel that I fit in very well there. It was not anything specific. It was just that there weren’t many people within my own age group. They all seemed much older than me, and it was simply difficult to relate. However, the staff was extremely courteous. Even though I was just visiting, they did very well at attending to whatever needs I happened to have because I spent the lunch hour there with them. The largest amenity that I noticed was the open area where everyone could congregate. The dining area was adjacent to the lobby, and it was immaculate."

"I thought the independent living community of The Reserve at North Dallas was nice, if you like the idea of living in a high-end hotel. It's like a 4-star hotel. Some people wouldn't like that, but I thought it was good. The staff members who assisted us were really good. I remember looking at the place and thinking that it was much nicer than the other place we visited, and that the prices were better. We had a meal there, too, but the food wasn't anything special. For its location, this place is probably as good as you were going to get, price-wise, in Dallas."

"It had all three levels of care, but I visited the independent living. They told me that it was only built five years ago. It was good, but the rooms were probably average. I saw the dining area. They had three meals a day and there was a snack area where you could pick up snacks any time of the day. For the size of the facility, the dining area seemed to be small, but they told me that if you would go for independent living, you can eat in the assisted living dining room as well. I met one staff member, and she was friendly. She knew what she was talking about. It looked like an apartment building. It's four stories. It seemed to be clean."

"We got my dad in a nice place at Remington. It is clean and it is close to me. Their service is really good. They make him feel welcome. They check on him if he needs anything. He has a nice and clean little apartment. The appliances look good. The carpets are clean too. Regarding food, my dad seems to enjoy it even though he does like to go out a lot. "

"My mom hasn't moved into Parc Place Retirement Community yet, but we already love the place. The staff was wonderful during our visit there. I've only been in one of their apartments, but it was very clean. The dining room looked wonderful. I have nothing but high praise for Parc Place Retirement Community. "

"My mother is very happily associated with this community. We chose this facility primarily because of the atmosphere and affordability. She has a one-bedroom apartment that is spacious, acceptable, and fits her needs. I'd eaten there with her when she first went in and she said it was like a five-star restaurant. She's an active senior and they've got a lot of activities that she participates in like she goes to the gym and attends Bible studies. "

"I visited the independent living community of Lakeview at Josey Ranch. They were very friendly and very helpful. The apartment that I'm looking at is very large and overlooks the lake, which is nice. They were in the process of refurbishing the apartment, so it's largely new. It's pretty nice and there is covered parking, but there are no garages for storage or a workbench or stuff like that. It's pretty good, but it's not perfect. I had lunch there and it was fine, although it wasn't exactly gourmet. They had a bunch of stuff like meeting rooms and an exercise room and things like that, which it's pretty good."

"I toured Brookdale North Richland Hills with Debbie A. It was very nice and they explained to me what I would have to do. They took me up to the rooms and showed me several rooms that looked very nice. I think I got a better idea of what a one-bedroom apartment looks like. I saw two rooms, and they were really identical except one was on the eastern side and the other one was on the western. They have limited activities, but they try to at least get them out to walk around so they're not just in their rooms. It was very quiet when I went. There were just workers there and I didn't see any other person. I asked about a bridge club and they have that, but I don't think that they're playing at this time. I saw an exercise room, and they also have a spa room where you can get into the like whirlpool thing; they help you climb into that. I saw the dining room which looked nice, and the tables were spread out, but there was nobody in there. They were very nice and I appreciated everything they did. I also talked to Debbie earlier. She was very nice and explained things to me. When I went in they took me to a back stairway door and we went upstairs from there, so I saw very little of the inside, except for the apartments. I could look down the hall a little and I saw where the dining room was. The sitting area that we walked through was very nice with plenty of light. I also did a virtual tour with them and they showed me during that time that they had handrails available for the residents."

"My wife and I are doing great here at Briarview. They had cottages that don't normally come up for lease, but one did and we were able to get it. It's a duplex that's 1400 square feet and we have an attached garage so we could get our car in there. It has a small patio that's big enough for our two white rocking chairs and a small grill. Even better, it has a fenced-in backyard for our wonderful dog. So, that's lovely. It's a one-bedroom, but it has a study that we use as an office. They provide all the utilities as well as two meals a day (breakfast every day and then you can choose either lunch or dinner, whichever you'd rather have). You can bring guests and just pay $4 for each. The people and the cottages that are independent are in a circle. You drive in and you circle around 20 different cottages. There's a huge gazebo pavilion in the middle where we visit with all our neighbors there. We all have so many things in common, so we like that a lot. They also provide cable TV. They have two excellent cooks that prepare us food every day and the meals are varied and delicious. The staff is so open and friendly. The head of the staff, Brian, does an incredible job here. He is well-liked and well-loved by all the residents. He's terrific. The people that handle your daily calls, kind of in a switchboard position such as the receptionist, concierge, and so on are so friendly and outgoing. There is a workout room, but there's no pool here and my wife wanted a place with a pool. However, there were just so many other things that struck the right chord. There are Bible study classes, bingo tournaments, presentations, and games made by the staff themselves, and a big TV where 35 or 40 people can gather around. It is beautiful and we love it here."

"I liked Heritage Place Independent Living. It was nice, clean, and updated, and they have a washing machine available that you can use, and you don't have to go out. They do laundry, but it's $50 a month if they do your clothes, and they do your towels and sheets free. They clean your apartment once a month. I liked the lady director who took me around. She was very personable. The food was good, and there was nothing I disliked about it. The staff was good, especially the lady that we took the tour with and the people that we met in the dining room. They were all personable. It smelled good. I didn't see anything out of order in the places that I went."

"It was in the process of doing some remodeling. The rooms that they've already remodeled were a lot nicer than the ones that weren't done yet. The place looked clean, and the one staff I met was very knowledgeable and friendly. They had movie nights and game nights. The dining room looked good. They've got a bus that can take people around if they have appointments or if they want to go to the stores."

Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) Assistance: we provide hands-on help with personal care tasks that residents can no longer safely or effectively perform on their own, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and ambulation (moving around). Medication Management Support: Under direction, we ensure residents take their medications accurately and on schedule, monitoring for any side effects or issues. Safety and Health Monitoring: we are the frontline observer, consistently monitoring residents' physical and mental status, reporting any significant changes (like signs of illness, falls, or emotional distress) to nursing staff or management. Promoting Independence: We encourage and allow residents to do as much for themselves as possible, promoting remaining skills and enhancing self-worth and independence.

"Attiva Park was awesome, and the price was reasonable. They had a pool and events. The staff was excellent, very patient, and took me on a great tour. The rooms were beautiful and excellently located. They had a luau party, and I saw several residents attending it. They're my first choice."

"All were great at Franklin Park. The people are friendly and caring, and it's a good place to live in. I like all their amenities. They could improve their parking area by providing more space. "
