"Lakeside Health and Wellness is a rehabilitation center, but it's also a nursing home. They're pretty amazing. They had clean facilities. They took really good care of my grandmother. The staff was very personable, they knew her by name, and they formed a personal relationship with her. The rooms were big, clean, and modern. I used to go eat there with her, and they had really good food. Our experience was great. If she had to go back into a nursing home for any reason in the future, I would want something similar to that one, if not that one. I feel like, just across the board, nursing homes are crazy expensive, but they were actually cheaper than the rest. I couldn't find anything cheaper for better."

"My wife was at Green Oaks for over three months. It was really great. They didn't have a lot of activities, but they did have bingo and sing-alongs where they gather around a piano. People there were really nice and really did a lot for my wife. "

"I have visited this facility approximately 15 times in the past three years. I would rate this nursing home as "slightly above average" for the following reasons. Positives: It is a relatively small nursing home in a rural community. Many of the residents have lived in Wood County for many years and people tend to know each other from the past. Familiarity is a good thing. For the most part staff is friendly and I believe they take good care of their residents. This is most important. For the most part staff seem accessible for questions. Negative: Though looks of a nursing home are not nearly as important as care the nursing home doesn't have a comfortabl feel to it in my opinion. It doesn't feel like a "homely" atmosphere. Despite this I would feel reasonably comfortable if a loved one lives here and would feel comfortable recommending this nursing home to others. Unfortunately there is only two choices for nursing homes in Mineola. I think I would feel comfortable with both of the homes. "

"My husband is in Mineola. It is small and clean. I have been very pleased with the care that my husband is getting. They help him into his wheelchair. He gets the immediate personal care that he needs. They have bingo games and entertainment. I think they had a country or western band yesterday that he was telling me about. Their food is like school cafeteria food. It take them less than five minutes to get to my husband when he rings. He is always clean, and they always give him a nice razor shave, so he is feeling better because he looks better."

"I would not recommend this nursing home to anyone. I did not like this nursing home at all. They mistreated the residents of the nursing home and did not take care of all of their needs. The resident constantly lost his belongings as well as his money. He was also found with black and blues at times. He was left outside until he was sunburnt one time as well. The staff is very rude. The bandages on patients are not changed regularly. It is a very unhygienic place. The sheets are not changed on a regular basis either. The residents seem to be in fear of the staff. They seem to take the residents for granted. Complaints have been filed, but nothing has come from them. In my opinion this nursing home needs better funding and a staff that actually cares. The elderly do not deserve to be treated this poorly. "

"I went to visit a friend a few months ago. It was clean and she was very happy with everything there. It smelled good, she was happy there and said the staff was very good to help when she needed it. She also liked the rehabilitation services that were provided for her."

"Overall, thorough quality of care, interactive with patients and staff. plenty of activities to keep residents busy. Great Food. options for either single or sharing rooms depending on budget. Thankful for the great care my wife is getting. Highly recommended for a small town Nursing home."

"My main complaint was the problems the business office n I had with the medicaid office n my Dads finances. The Medicaid office couldn’t get Dads retirement income straight. They finally did. Medicaid is done with his case . But we are still getting an outstanding bill that nobody knows where it’s coming from. We were getting 2 bills on Dad a correct one ( which was paid off ) n one that the office lady can’t figure out where it came from. Dads been gone sense last September 2017. This is 6/5/18 n were still getting that bill. It’s nerve racking ! Dad paid his full checks to Sunflower every month . He was supposed to get $60. for spending money per month which never happened. They required his full payments. The Medicaid office couldn’t look at his bank statements n figure out that was all the money he had coming in. Once when I called that Medicaid office n explained all this to her , the lady said, “ “Well what do you want me to do?” There’s been at least 4to 5 different people working in the financial office. It’s been a nerve racking fight the whole time. He’s gone n it still is with this incorrect bill. Answers to questions below: *The rooms weren’t cleaned sometimes because of low staff members. *I had great relationships with the staff members that were there consistently through the years both my parents were there. I would say lifetime friends. *My parents enjoyed the visits from Elvis n anything dealing with music n worship. They loved it when church groups came n regular visits."

"My friends mother was in this facility for rehab services and they did an excellent job getting her strong and back home. The facility was always clean and the staff was very friendly every time we came in to visit her. I would recommend this facility to anyone needing short term or long term care. The food is great, the staff is knowledgeable, and the administration team are always available to answer any questions we had."

"My mother-in-law lived in Windsor Rehabilitation & Health Care Center. It was a good place, and they were good people. They had to help her with everything, like going to the restroom. We could not visit but we could have looked through the window, but the weather was too bad. We could also Facetime; I called every day."

"I have my grandfather at Terrell Healthcare, what a great team of people. Always happy and ready to help. Even the office personnel is right there to assist with anything my grandpa may need. "

"My mom was in this nursing home for 3 years and loved it there. She loved the nurses, the food, and the way she was treated. We offered to move her closer to one of her children but she wanted to stay there. The home never smelled bad and was always clean, so I knew my mom was being well taken care of. Thank you Patricia, Debbie, and the rest of the staff for your wonderful care."
