Lakeside Health and Wellness was very new, and there was lots of concrete, lots of glass, and new stuff. The staff members were very young and very excited to see anybody touring the place. It's a nice facility. It looked good. It's close to my home. It was going to be something I could go visit every day. At that particular point, everybody was in their own room. None were shared because the facility looks to be where they could handle close to 100 people, and they only had 40 people in it. They had several common areas with nice, comfortable couches and chairs, and nice places to sit and chat. Everywhere you go there's lemon water sitting there someplace with a cup that you can use, and they encourage you to use theirs. Their furniture was more modern. The staff worked hard.

This place is terrible. We took my mom here for rehab. She was here for 6 days before she went to pt. She hardly ever got out of bed. I don’t think she had a shower or brushed her teeth. I finally pulled her out after 9 days. Administration did not listen to my concerns. Good luck talking to the charge nurse or pt. They only want to give excuses not listen. Please do not take your loved ones here

Lakeside Health and Wellness is a rehabilitation center, but it's also a nursing home. They're pretty amazing. They had clean facilities. They took really good care of my grandmother. The staff was very personable, they knew her by name, and they formed a personal relationship with her. The rooms were big, clean, and modern. I used to go eat there with her, and they had really good food. Our experience was great. If she had to go back into a nursing home for any reason in the future, I would want something similar to that one, if not that one. I feel like, just across the board, nursing homes are crazy expensive, but they were actually cheaper than the rest. I couldn't find anything cheaper for better.
