"My grandma was here about six months ago, not only was the staff helpful and friendly, the residents was just as welcoming. The facility is like a family, and great food. I have family that works at other nursing facilities in the Houston area as nurses and they was very complimentary about the facility being very clean and for the staff providing great care. Heating & cooling units with thermostats are in each room and are controlled by the resident. "My mother-in-law was in Cedar Lake Nursing Home. They were awesome. I loved them. It was family owned. I have nothing bad to say. They were excellent, superiorm in every way, because I was up there almost every single day that she was there. It was a big challenge during COVID; it wasn't their fault. It was older, but it was extremely well kept up. It looked aged inside, but everything looked perfect. The staff were attentive. The social workers were attentive. She got her hair done every couple of weeks. They had a beautician there. They had games. They had activities. She wasn't able to go out on any of the excursions they had, but that was OK. And it was so pleasant. Very pleasant. It did not smell like a nursing home when you got there in the mornings. Always clean. Always extremely clean. She never complained about the food."

"Fairfield Nursing and Rehab Center was close to my home. It's newer and nicer. The manager was very easy to work with. I did have an issue with the staff, and I went to the management with the issue and they took care of it. The place was clean and was nicely decorated. My mother appeared to have round the clock care that she needed. We had a private room so she had the whole room to herself. Overall, we were very happy with the place. "

"Renaissance Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is a wonderful nursing home. My dad is currently there. It used to be called Trinity Nursing Facility but someone else bought it. It's better than the one my brother is in. Right at the moment, it's going through a renovation so everything is a little bit messed up. It is an older nursing facility. It's not this high-tech and fancy nursing home, like the ones that are going up. This one's been around for a long time. The staff is extremely caring. When I walk in there, they're always smiling. The place is always clean. I can call anytime, night or day, to check up on my dad. I feel very comfortable with him there. He mainly enjoys just talking to other people. He has dementia. When he first got there, they had what they called a wine-and-cheese social, and they got the residents there and had different activities. Daddy enjoys just walking around, he's in a wheelchair, and just visiting with everybody. They say he'll come up and tell them hi and they all greet him. He might say something out of the ordinary and they would just go along with him. They just kept him very, very comfortable so I'm pleased with it. I had thought about moving him to where my brother is, but at the same time, I just feel like he's a lot better where he is now. When I had to find a facility for my dad to go into, Christie helped me get Dad from a hospital in Dallas to their facility. She arranged everything and she set my mind at ease. It was the easiest transition from what I had been through the past month so I was very pleased. When I was there, the food smelled wonderful. I haven't eaten any of it but my dad says it's really good."
