My grandmother is currently in their care and without Canton Oaks and their staff I'm not sure she would still be alive. Before Canton Oaks she was bitter, lonely and didn't want to talk to anyone. Let's not forget a heavy chain smoker. Since she has joined Canton Oaks, she has quit smoking (after smoking for more than half her life), she plays bingo and interacts with other patients and staff. Her room is always clean and she always has what she needs or wants. Staff seems to handle her "grouchy mood" with grace and love. I'm beyond happy we found this place for our grandmother. I have seen firsthand how this place treats their staff and patients like family.

The Administrator is very rude and petty. Doesn't have compassion! They don't like for family to voice their concerns! As soon as you do they treat you different. Aids were great, although seemed understaffed. Some days my loved one didn't get breakfast till 9am. After sitting up waiting for 2.5 hours!

My experience was not a good one some of the staff was good others not so great. It was hard to tell who I was dealing with because hardly anybody wore name tags. My husband was the approximately 2wks and in those 2wks he had to sit in a dirty diaper twice and it took them over an hour to get him pain medication. When asking for the equipment my husband need the case working stated I had to get his primary to authorize it. Which is not the case the have a doctor on staff . This is not a facility I would recommend.

My Mother, who recently passed away, was a resident at this facility for three years. I can't say enough good things about the people that work there. If you think that all nursing facilities are the same, you're wrong. These people go above and beyond to make sure the residents/patients are cared for.

Canton Oaks was a nicer and newer place. It was easy to get to and it was only two years old. I liked the way it was arrange and designed. It was very clean. The admitting lady was knowledgeable and really nice. The residents that we passed through the halls seemed very friendly and happy. The rooms looked like it was a little bit bigger than the one we were going to. They had several TVs.
