Being a patient here myself they are way under staffed. I have been humiliated and degraded by having to sit in my own pee for over an hour and a half before my call light gets answered. I am a 2 person lift because the right leg and right arm are broken, so it takes another 30 Minutes for them to find someone to help them get me up and cleaned. I am not incontinent. I am in fear of becoming incontinent and getting a urinary track infection. I now how one of my daughters come and stay with me for my own safety. The staff is rude and condescending. The kitchen staff ignores my special diet so I have to bring in my own food. The activity director is a hateful vengeful person and she has yelled and degraded me in front of other staff and patients. Maintenance took days to get a working bed and they are not the ones who got me a working bed. When I tried to complain to the director of nursing I was put off and lied to about the steps that they were going to take to resolve the situation. The staff did give me a bath for over 5 days and did not change my sheets or my bandages for 5 days as well. I am worried about the other patients that don't have anyone to look out for them and how they get treated here. I have witnessed them put a patient out side for hours without anyone checking on them and have nothing to drink. Please do not put your loved ones in this facility.

My husband is in Mineola. It is small and clean. I have been very pleased with the care that my husband is getting. They help him into his wheelchair. He gets the immediate personal care that he needs. They have bingo games and entertainment. I think they had a country or western band yesterday that he was telling me about. Their food is like school cafeteria food. It take them less than five minutes to get to my husband when he rings. He is always clean, and they always give him a nice razor shave, so he is feeling better because he looks better.
