"Kiloo is the owner. She cared for my mother for about 6 years. When she opened Glorious, my mother moved from her home to the residential home. The care was impeccable. I think Kiloo and Mimi are the primary caregivers at this point. I can't say enough about the loving care that they gave to my mother. The food was fabulous. I would take in things from time to time kind of just a treat. They always provided good nutrition. Any kind of problem that popped up when my mother began not to eat solid food and couldn't chew, they came up with all sorts of solution. They put food together that she could eat. Mother had a large private bedroom with a private bath with a walk in closet. She brought her own furniture which we've allowed them to keep in case somebody comes through that doesn't have furniture or something. My mom was pretty much bedridden and she was not an active person. So they put her in a wheelchair and wheel her around. She pretty much wanted to stay in her room. She wasn't a social being. That was not really anything that they need to come up with for her. It's just a very loving Christian atmosphere. I wouldn't hesitate recommending them to anyone. They're just fabulous. "

"My mother is at The Waterford at Plano. It's a very nice facility. The common areas are all very well maintained. The dining area is very nice, and my mother believes the food is very good. The management is very responsive to resident requests. Location and grounds are very nice. It's an independent living facility that also has an assisted living facility attached to it. "

"Twin Rivers Assisted Living had a Veterans Honor wall, which was extremely nice. They had pictures of the military members when they were young when they went in. The staff was very nice. The dining area was large and very nicely laid out. They had an arts and crafts and puzzle area and a little area where they could do physical fitness."

"I have two friends there at Vitality Court Texas Star. We celebrated one of my friends' birthday but we brought food in. I haven't eaten their food. I did go to a wine and cheese there, and it was a lot of fun. He's just in regular care. He's not in memory care. It's clean and the rooms were large. I found it very appealing. As a matter of fact, I put my wife on the waiting list there. They have a very pretty courtyard with ducks and a pond. When I visit my friend a lot of times when the weather permits, we sit outside and get fresh air. They take good care of them, but I haven't experienced any of the activities because when I come, we spend our time together. Live music comes in once a week. The staff is very friendly and accommodating, and if I have any questions, they answer them promptly. They always set us up, so that I can visit my friend comfortably because he has Parkinson's and I appreciate that. His wife felt so comfortable with it, that she brought her father over there also, so she has two relatives in the same unit. I think they're very satisfied."

"Gracious Care Home - Allen was nice. The staff who assisted me with the tour was nice. It was like living at home because it was an actual house. It's just a single home in a neighborhood. It's not a normal facility like the other places. It was very small, so there would be lots of one-on-one attention. I think they said they only take 3 residents at a time. They only had one lady there at the time. They did home-cooked meals but they didn't have a meal plan or anything like that."

"This is a tough part of life. The family of Emeritus has made it a lot easier and even a happy experience! It is a small community and all the staff calls everyone by name. It seems more like a large house than a "facility". We have also started attending the support group that meets once a month. It has been a tremendous help to know that the feelings of sadness, guilt, etc. are not uncommon when going through a decision to move a loved one. Thank God that we were led to your organization! "

"We toured Beehive Homes of Rowlett and all of what they said they would do was pretty impressive compared to others. They truly have a system where they're overseeing your loved one with safety and nutrition because my mother is vegan, and they're going to cater to that and keep them busy. Just overall care is excellent compared to the other ones I've been to. The staff made her feel very welcome like she belonged there. My mother responded very safely. She felt safe. She felt loved. She just really knew how to work with my mom. The common area had very comfortable chairs. I was impressed with that, and it was very clean. They took me through the common area, their office, to the bathroom, and then to the room."

"The administrative staff are all friendly and observant, easily engaging with each and all of the residents. They stay tuned in to the residents' needs. The caretaker staff are awesome! The ladies I have met interact warmly with my mom, engage delightfully with her and help her skillfully and wisely. The atmosphere is "homey" while staying clean and safe."

"I didn’t have a lot of experience with Brookdale Collin Oaks because I live in California. I once visited my mother in the first week she was there, and then I went to pick her up a year later. I wasn’t overly thrilled. But maybe you need to be around something more often to get a good feeling. Everybody was really friendly. When my mother left there, she had something going on with her leg that they had not followed through with. I was kind of upset about that. It really wasn’t one person's fault; it was just somebody forget to take pictures, and they seemed to let it go. They had church every day and ice cream socials. My mom had good exercise classes. The room wasn’t as nice as the one that she is in now. It just wasn’t as nice at all. The room was average, I suppose. "
