"I went to tour Sodalis Wharton. The place is very, very clean. Information wise, the staff answered every question. They're very, very professional. I can go in there anytime I want. I can take my mom out to lunch. They told me all that. It's perfect because I don't want to not go see her every two weeks, but maybe twice a week I'm going to see her, and my brother can come in. The people there are all nice, and even the residents. It's well-controlled, it's very, very clean, and it smells wonderful. They took me on a tour and it's very nice. I was very impressed with the quality of professionalism. You have to furnish your furniture in the room. They have a call button like if my mom needs something in the middle of the night. The staff told me my mom could bring a microwave, but she doesn't need a microwave because she is on a walker, she can go to the dining room. My mom will have to furnish her towels, which is no problem. Along with the package that I looked at, the laundry mat is included, and I can go up there and help my mom wash her clothes. The accommodation is very well-lit. It's got nice windows that she can look out at. I preferably told the staff I want her up front because she is 93 and she gets tired of walking. She sits pretty much all day at my house. She gets up to eat, she gets up to go to the restroom and the bed, so I want her to have more activities. And from the conversation and the women there, they are so nice that they will pull my mom out. Because my mom has been through a lot since 2012, but I'm pushing 70 and I just can't handle it anymore. My mom's very healthy, but you never know, so I just want to get it set up for right now. She has the money to help herself. My mom and dad always looked out for that, so I don't have to worry about that. She's on Medicare and she's got other insurance. But as of now, she's very, very healthy, she just gets tired. They have bingo, they have two or three sitting rooms with TVs, they have a little library, and they have a beauty shop. My mom can go in there and get her hair done and her nails done. They got a lunchroom, and they serve the meals to them. It's like an ala carte, but they serve the meals three times a day, and she can have snacks anytime. They have a laundry room, and they have an outside beautiful courtyard, and they could sit out there. They take them out now and then, and they told me they're getting the new bus. Of course, I can go get my mom and take her out to eat right there in Wharton. She can just go anywhere she wants to around the place. If there's an emergency in a room in the middle of the night, they have people on-call. A nurse is there, and a doctor comes in once a week. It's deep cleaning once a week, the staff told me. They take the trash and check it every day, but it's deep clean every week. All I would have to supply is towels and sheets for her bed and some furniture."
