"My mother moved into The Delaney at Parkway Lakes a week ago. We chose it because of the service, the cost, and the support. They have outdoor activities. They also have trips, bingo, games, and movies. Her room is a nice size with a nice view. The staff is pleasant, friendly, warm, and very professional."

"My mom is currently at Optimum Personal Care. The staff is excellent. They seem to be more motivated and more personally interested in the residents than the other places we'd been to. The staff is just superb. The rooms are quite nice. They're all semi-private. The place is always immaculately clean. They have fewer amenities and much smaller public areas, but they have a higher staff-to-resident ratio. However, the food is very bland. Mom complains about it but there's plenty of it. My mom is bed and wheelchair bound and she requires a two-person lift. The place is broken into pods where they have a common area and a dining room that is divided amongst 14 people. The large public area is lined with recliners. They have a common work table there and the times I visited they had some artsy crafty things. That's really the activity that they do. Most of the people that are there just sit and snooze in the recliner. Nevertheless, every time I have been there the staff members have been attentive. When Mother needs to be changed I push her pendant, and there's somebody there within 20 seconds. They are very helpful, very friendly, very responsive, very caring, and very affectionate toward the residents. The value is very good. My mom is paying somewhat less where she is in now than the previous place where she was getting less care. Now, she doesn't have a nice big room by herself, so there's that, but it is actually a good value."

"I went to Brookdale Sugar Land. The rooms were very nice. I like the size of the rooms. The menu looked good. The staff was very pleasant, nice, and engaged in conversation. They had a podiatrist that came in. They have a beauty salon. They have a small rehab center and a couple of areas for watching movies if you don't want to be in your room. The building was nice. It was clean. It didn't have any odor, which was nice because I know some places have that."

"My brother is a resident at the Auberge facility in Sugar Land. Prior to being a resident here he was at another facility in Sugar Land and was so unhappy that it had an affect on his well being. He was moved to Auberge in Sugar Land and he is a different person. He has short term memory but other then that he is very functional. Clients are well cared for, staff is constantly active with clients, cheerful, and integrated with individuals who are on the functional level except for programs where everyone is together. I have yet to go there that I haven’t seen staff doing puzzles, artwork and other activities. There are gardens a work bench, a little golf area, areas to sit outside and bleachers so residents can watch sporting activities at the school next to the facility. There are animals, tv areas, etc. I was there during lunch and the food is nourishing, well prepared and pretty good. They do patient assessment on an ongoing basis and constantly communicating with the family. They have physical and occupational therapy on site. It is very clean with no smell, music playing, a large fish tank, and staff are always friendly and clean. Private rooms are few but a client is allowed to decorate and a display cabinet is outside each room so clients can display a few important items. I can only say that I have peace of mind and would highly recommend this facility to anyone. It may be small but it certainly mighty"

"The Reserve at First Colony's assisted living was very nice. It was clean and comfortable. The apartments were quiet and nice. A little bit isolated, but they were okay. The staff who toured me was very nice and very accommodating. The dining area was nice, clean, and spacious. It was a pretty friendly environment too. They have a library and a place for exercise. They also have a really nice area for the residents to just socialize."

"My aunt moved to Laurel Glen at Sugar Land. It's a beautiful facility. The staff was wonderful and the price was good. Her apartment is beautiful, clean, and very modern. They have a beautiful outdoor area, a swimming pool, a workout room, and very nice community areas."

"We went to the Villa at Riverstone. It was super nice. We like just the whole layout. It's a newer facility and the location and grounds. They have a big pond in the back. The staff was was very helpful."

"We thought Willow Fork Alzheimer's Special Care Center was perfect. The lady who was telling us about it was very polished, very slick, and very attractive. She gave the appearance of really selling the place. Everything seemed great. We really thought this is it. We didn't get to see the room that my husband would go to because they were renovating. We saw similar rooms to it though. Everything seemed great. Every employee was friendly, nice, and had a very caring attitude. Their outside units and courtyard were locked due to the severe heat. I saw residents watching TV."

"The Avenues of Fort Bend was an excellent facility. The staff was very, very loving and compassionate. That was actually my first choice for my godmother. The place was very clean and very elegant. It didn't look like an assisted living facility. They had a beautiful dining room, spacious rooms, and elevators for the residents because they have multiple floors, but I think the staff was just the pinnacle of that whole facility."

"Everything at Cinco Ranch Alzheimer's Special Care Center was a five. The lady when we first walked in who was dealing with this was an older lady, but slick and polished. This lady was very warm, welcoming, reminded you of a close friend and a mother. She's been at this facility for many years. The feeling that sold us on Cinco Ranch was one of warmth and we love the doctor that is in charge. I was one of his first patients when he came to Katy, and he's a doctor in charge of Cinco Ranch. They had a large group with a lady and they were doing Trivial Pursuit. They had a group that was just starting to watch a movie. I found a close friend of mine that had been moved there. We also met a wife whose husband had been there for two years and she said, "You'll never find a better place. It's wonderful." It was very nice and very clean. They're working with us greatly. We're not going to have to move our furniture until after my husband is completely settled there. We're going to paint it again. The closet and facilities for his storage and things were very adequate and very nice. They had draperies in the room and I said I really like blinds, and they said, "We will gladly put blinds in for you." We chose it strictly because of the warmth and their caring attitude. We saw some residents getting ready to eat and selecting their meals. The dining area was very pleasant and not crowded. It's a very ample space."

"My mom moved into Sunrise of Cinco Ranch. What I like best is the level of care and attention. It's a beautiful facility, and the caregivers are very nice and effective. They're very proficient and friendly, and they seemed to do a great job. They have a meditation time. They have a walk and hydration every day. They have bingo, sing-alongs, and dancing. They have different themed socials every afternoon. The layout is very good, and the size of the rooms is very adequate for the residents."

"My dad was at Optimum Personal Care and they did a wonderful job. A friend referred me to this place. They have great staff who are very loving and caring. I don’t know what I would have done without them. They met his medical and dietary needs and at the same time makes him comfortable. This place was a good fit for us to have my dad stay at Optimum Personal Care. He was in a room and it was a good sized one. "
