Everything at Cinco Ranch Alzheimer's Special Care Center was a five. The lady when we first walked in who was dealing with this was an older lady, but slick and polished. This lady was very warm, welcoming, reminded you of a close friend and a mother. She's been at this facility for many years. The feeling that sold us on Cinco Ranch was one of warmth and we love the doctor that is in charge. I was one of his first patients when he came to Katy, and he's a doctor in charge of Cinco Ranch. They had a large group with a lady and they were doing Trivial Pursuit. They had a group that was just starting to watch a movie. I found a close friend of mine that had been moved there. We also met a wife whose husband had been there for two years and she said, "You'll never find a better place. It's wonderful." It was very nice and very clean. They're working with us greatly. We're not going to have to move our furniture until after my husband is completely settled there. We're going to paint it again. The closet and facilities for his storage and things were very adequate and very nice. They had draperies in the room and I said I really like blinds, and they said, "We will gladly put blinds in for you." We chose it strictly because of the warmth and their caring attitude. We saw some residents getting ready to eat and selecting their meals. The dining area was very pleasant and not crowded. It's a very ample space.

My mother is in Cinco Ranch Alzheimer's Care Center. I like the fact that it was dedicated to memory care only, so it did not have assisted living. It is for only memory care. The staff seem very caring and helpful. My mom is in a companion room, and it's very nice. She has a nice view of the courtyard, and it's bigger than some of the other facilities that I visited. It's such a pretty nice room. She has her own bathroom and a shower. I did not taste the meals, but the dining area seems pretty standard. I would say it was relatively large; it's not huge, but it's a good size. They have a published monthly activities calendar for the residents, and they vary activities throughout the day. I know they have an on-site salon, and I think they also have a visiting medical professional who comes through, as well. She has been there for maybe a little over two or three weeks.

The facility is always spotless. The staff are top notch. They are very accommodating. Mom has been there for 3 months. So far we are very pleased. We have experienced 6 other facilities prior to Cinco Ranch. Hands down this has been the best! Highly recommend. Can't comment on the food due to Covid. Paul & Terri Franek Brookshire, TX

Because this care center focuses explicitly on Alzheimer's, they are able to serve specific cognitive needs of residents. The size and individualized attention is exactly what we needed, and I would highly recommend.

Cinco Ranch's Alzheimer's Care Unit (Cinco Ranch Alzheimer's Special Care Center) was our choice because of its proximity to our home. It's very well-cared for. After being there for almost three months, we liked it quite well because the staff has been very courteous and overly kind. I had my three-month interview yesterday where we went over things. The only problem is that my wife is very finicky about food, so she's not eating enough, and we don't know quite how to approach that. I am starting to take packages of food from home in case she doesn't eat the meals that they provide, so she could eat that in her room. The food is fine. However, she has gone from lying in bed to actually walking to going to the bathroom all by herself, so everything's been wonderful. They're taking care of her health marvellously, which is something we couldn't do at home, and they take care of her when she has to be diapered properly. She was in her wheelchair for a month, but now she walks around and is known as The Walker, but she doesn't know where her room is.

I have visited the Cinco Ranch Alzheimer’s Center several times. About a year ago, the director was changed and they got a new one, so I went to meet the new staff. I would give a very high rating with one exception: it's organized with the residents segregated according to their needs, and I like the approach where they are all together better. It has nothing to do with the people because they are doing a great job. It is an older, one-story, very attractive facility with large rooms.

My brother was a resident for one year and eight months. During that time, he had the most amazing care. Every staff member was kind and thoughtful about his every need. The food was delicious. I often took bites because it looked and smelled so good. His meds were reduced to simply Rx for sleep at night. I can't imagine a better facility.

Mom is in Cinco Ranch Alzheimer's Special Care Center. I like that is very secure. It is very nice all around. I like the whole thing. I like that it is one level. I like the staff members. They are very good. They have several activities every day. They have art, several different games, and music. It is in an upscale neighborhood. It is like a master-plan community. It has everything you need.

My mom is in Cinco Ranch, which is an Alzheimer's care home. I like everything about the facility. It is an excellent place for somebody with Alzheimer's in any level. The staff is very nice and caring. They are all well trained. They are patient in understanding all the patients, and they act like they care. They have a lot of activities. They go out once a week. The do bingo, they plant plants, they have music several time a week. They have Easter parties and church services. My mom is in a semi-private room. They match up with somebody similar in their sickness. It is very clean there. It is nice and I am really happy with the facility.

The facility is pretty nice and everything. It seems like they're doing really well with my mother. She's really well there. The staff are real nice. They got a couple of Hispanic girls (staff) and they talk to her first thing in the morning because that's what she's kind of reverted to; talking in Spanish now because that's her first language. So she talks to them and it's hard for us because we don't talk Spanish but definitely okay with us. They bathe her, do her hair and make-up in the morning, so they're taking good care of her. She's in a real clean facility, no smells or anything like the nursing home that she was at and a couple of these other places we visited.

Staff was very courteous and nice. They welcomed us all and gave us a tour as well as introduced us to some of the people living there. Amenities were all great, and the facility was very nice and cozy. Seemed like a nice place to live, but seemed a tiny bit too small for my personal taste.
