"We went to Brookdale Weatherford. The people were very friendly, very nice. They were very informative and very helpful, we shared a lot of information. They had everything that we would want. They had meals, laundry, housekeeping, and all the things that we would have wanted for mom. It's very clean, bright. We looked at the activities that they had for that week or that month."

"I didn’t like the fact that the Autumn Hills Manor was divided into four separate living areas. Each building is totally separate and has separate eating and separate exercising with only about 12 people in there. If you want to do any of the community activities, you had to go to the community center. The only activity they really mentioned was exercise. They had two ro three different types of exercises, like stretching and yoga. They served lunch, breakfast, and dinner; lunch is their main meal, and then dinner is a little lighter. The lady was very knowledgeable and had been there for 11 or 12 years or so. She was able to answer every one of my questions about call assistance or checking with the VA for any type of financial assistance and transportation issues. "

"We toured Windsor Court Senior Living and Memory Care. It was more like all the other facilities, but it was just closer to my family, and that's why I chose it. I prefer a handicap toilet, and they don't have one. I've got to talk to them about that. It looks like an elementary school toilet, which is what they have in that apartment. And it's very hard for a handicapped person or an elderly person like me to get off of that. It was clean and very well-maintained. Deja was very sweet and very knowledgeable. She gave us the tour, and she was very nice. My sister talked to the receptionist and the manager as well. They were all very knowledgeable and very informative."

"West Fork at Weatherford was clean and everybody seemed to treat us real nice. I think the meals were going to be like in a restaurant where they brought the food out to them and waited on them, and so I liked that part. They had a courtyard in one of the suites and my dad's dog could go out right out the door there. That was a plus. There's plenty of activities and it's a newer facility. Then there's a game room, a library, and a TV room with recliners. I liked that too."

"My grandmother was a resident at this community & I cannot thank the staff enough for taking such good care of her. They took the time and patience to get to know her personally & that meant so much to my brothers and I. Her room was spacious and big enough to fit all of her loved belongings from home. They have plenty of activities that Granny enjoyed, especially the music entertainment! The food was terrific and the Chef always worked with Granny since she was so picky. Extremely grateful for the community"

"I went to Serenity Estates, it's really nice, and it's privately owned. I would recommend it. It would be a reasonable price considering the area that it is in. They were all studio type, and you could get a couple of chairs in it. I did like the facility and the way it looked, but I didn't get into a lot of specifics. I'm hoping to go back and look more at it. The one thing I liked about it is it was privately owned. If you had a complaint, you could go to the owner. "

"My mother-in-law is at Hilltop (Crescent Senior Care). It is under new management. Aside from assisted living, they also have rehab and memory care. My mother-in-law is in a semi-private suite. She has a small living area and two separate rooms off of it. They have just lots of different activities. They have bingo, ice cream or snow cone socials, and they have prayer services several times a week. They also have counsel meetings, where the residents get together and discuss menus. They also have something that they could do for the community. Their dining room has different groups of tables. Some people are seated separate and some people sit in groups, depending on their needs. The staff is very involved. They know the residents very well. They address them by "Mrs." and their last names, which is nice. They seem to be on top of things. They know each individual's preferences and needs. They modified things for my mother-in-law uniquely. It is not just an institution. It is more like a home as far as their care. "
