"It was phenomenal. They are the best, and it would probably be the only one that I would consider having my parents go and live in. It was a great community. The apartments were really nice and very modern. They have wood floors throughout, which was not the case as for the others that are carpeted. They also have a wonderful courtyard, an atrium, and access to an area where pets could go in and out via a pet door. It was just amazing, and it just felt like a home."

"I have a two-bedroom apartment here at Buena Vista Seniors Community, and I cook in my full kitchen. I can get help if I need it, but I do my own washing and cleaning. The maintenance is great. I'm overlooking a pond where we can go fishing. I have a pool, and I'm perfectly content. They have different activities every day, and everybody gathers in a room each day. They have two computers downstairs, a cappuccino machine and a coffee machine, and everybody always brings snacks with them. "

"The top reason why St. Francis Village appealed to me was that it's much more affordable than most of the places I had inquired about. They have a unit of apartments (one level only) and numerous cottages (duplexes). I looked at the two-bedroom cottage that had a carport in it and they've got a little patio in the back that can be fenced in, if I need to, for my dog. It's just the perfect place for me. It's located close to Benbrook Lake and there's one area where you can see the lake from the Saint Francis Village campus and I felt like there's more outdoor independence there. The staff was very nice and very friendly. It was great."

"I'm on the waiting list at Mariposa Apartment Homes At South Broadway. I like that facility. It's nice. It's pretty much what I ran into at the other facility. The problem is its vacancies. It's not that old, and it's well-maintained. I saw nothing discouraging. There's no trash or litter. However, the staff started out a little annoyed when I came in. But then after I acted annoyed back, she behaved herself."

"I'm now at Album Benbrook for a week. It's very nice. They have lots of activities. It's brand new. It's beautiful. We have three staff members: The manager, assistant manager, and activity director. They're very easy to get along with, and they're helpful. I have a one-bedroom-one-bath. I have a walk-in closet, a walk-in shower, lots of closet space and cabinet space, and stainless-steel appliances. It's wonderful. They have yoga, cooking classes, poker, all kinds of card games, and speakers. They have a fitness room and a movie theater. They have all kinds of get-togethers. They have garages, carports, and guest parking. They have a dog park and a swimming pool. It's very well-kept."

"Mariposa is a very nice place and brand new when I moved in. I have a two-bedroom apartment with a living room, a kitchen, and a dining room area. The staff is very nice. We have bingo, crafts, get togethers, birthday parties once a month, and Bible study."

"My husband was in Pegasus Landing of Chisholm Trail for a short time. The building is a little older. They are renovating all the rooms before they move new residents in, but the people are fabulous. They were very good and very caring. They did bingo, they did rock painting, and there was a gospel group that came in and sang, but a lot of times, there was not a lot going on. We were told there was going to be a long wait to get into the other place, and I wouldn't be getting him in there for a long time. So I paid extra community fees to reduce the rent at Pegasus Landing for the whole time he was going to be there, which I thought would be like a year. He was there not even a whole month, and they still charged for the 30-day notice because he had a few days into the next month. They gave no regard for the extra $4,000 that I'd already paid in community fees on top of the $3,000 that they charge in community fees upfront. Those few days ended up costing over $13,000. It wasn't worth that. If they have not charged for the 30-day notice, just give me that $775, and I would have been happy. If they'd have refunded part of the community fee, I'd have been happy, but no. They want all the money they can get. The caretakers are great. However, their corporate office is greedy."

"Trinity Courtyard was pretty nice but a bit too far away. It was an excellent, attractive, large, and nice facility. They're very friendly. They had a pool and a billiards room. It was really nice. The lady was fine, but she's probably new, and it wasn't her job to do tours. She was just stepping in, but she was a very nice lady. "

"I feel safe living in Palm House Apartments. It's a very nice and secure place especially for seniors. People who run the business keep the doors locked at night. I'm very particular about the people who come into the building. I have a one-bedroom apartment and I got my own mailbox downstairs. The staff are very kind and they are doing a very good job. They also provide a free shuttle bus to go to the grocery store and even to your doctor's appointments, you just need to schedule those. "

"I really like The Tradition - Clearfork, and I have a feeling that's where I'm going to go when I go. It's very, very nice and it's brand new, but it's very expensive. The staff is top-notch. It's a wonderful place. It has great shopping nearby, Neiman Marcus, Gucci, and Prada. You could walk there or they would take you there. They have a movie theater. It's top-notch."

"My father is at Ridgmar Place, and he's loving it there. They were more cost efficient for what he was looking for, and they've had tons of activities, shortly after all the Covid stuff got through which was like a month. He's made lots of friends, he's very active, and he loves the meals. It's a very nice place. He's very happy there. He's in independent living right now, and he doesn't need assistance. We like that there's a medical doctor that comes on-site that sees them. When needed, they have home healthcare on-site. They even had physical therapy come in for him. He's got a lot of services there, and they provide transportation to his doctors. It has a little bit of everything. His 1-bedroom is without a kitchen; it's got a little sink basically. He loves the food."
