I will move into Wilshire Senior Living, which meets my requirements for space and amenities. I'm living in a 1,850-square-foot cottage with an attached two-car garage. It's more like a home than anything else. There are 32 or so cottages around a huge pond, and four of them are large like mine, and I have one of those four. The staff was great. They were perfect, and I still interact with them whenever needed. They're very responsive and professional. They have three meals a day, seven days a week.

My mom loves it. I was very impressed with it. Everybody there is friendly. People have small dogs, which is nice that they could have their little pets there. The dining room is beautiful. The food was great. My mom made friends right away. She is in independent living, but one of the reasons we selected this one is because she could move as needed if her health declined. My mom is very happy with the food, too. The place is beautiful. I'm very satisfied with it. It is set up comfortably. There were places to sit when you came in the front entryway. They have nice artwork. People who lived there decorated their doors. And I was there like Halloween time and again at Christmas, and just seeing the personal touches, it's felt more like a home-type community. They have different little painting classes. I know there was a big deal about decorating the Christmas tree. My mom had sent me pictures of everybody putting ornaments on it. So I know they always have something going on.

It was newer. I liked the room and the shower. It was great. The only thing was if my relative had been in there, the room would have been quite away from all the activity. The staff were very friendly. They were having entertainment while we were there. We just didn't have time to stay and see what was going on, but everything was great about it. It was a nice place and it was bright.

We didn't get to see too many people here. We were there at an odd time in the afternoon, when a lot of people were probably resting. They had a lot of activities. It was really open, and I liked the rooms a lot. The people seemed really happy there. Everything was new, and they were still filling up. It was just quite impressive. It didn't look like a nursing home. It kind of looked like a country club. I liked that it was gated, so that was a plus. They have a lot of security and that sort of stuff. We saw people walking down the hall, doing crafts, and watching movies.

We will be moving in here because I was very pleased with it. It was spacious and green. It had all the amenities that we wanted. They have a gym. They have a heated pool and a dine-in restaurant. They have very good people.
